Il Pittore

We stayed here for one night during our bike tour. It is slightly outside Borgo San Lorenzo, so very quiet. The room is super clean and the hosts extremely caring. We arrived quite late and were then spoiled with a dinner. The breakfast also leaves nothing to be desired. There is a secure place for the bicycles. So absolutely recommended!

We arrived with 5 children and only at 22:30. Nonetheless, we still received a completely fresh and homemade dinner. I haven't eaten pasta this good in a long time. It's simply an accommodation with heart and history. I can only recommend it and express my praise for such a lovely stay. Here you are truly welcome. I only rated the location slightly lower because arriving there via the unpaved road is an adventure. But we managed it with a fully loaded Seat Alhambra. Completely immersed in the green countryside,it is reached by travelling along lanes between sunflower fields that lead to a small cluster of houses,quiet and relaxing. More than a satisfactory stay;the room was clean and welcoming. Anyone wanting to escape the chaos will find the right place.

An ideal structure for those seeking isolation and tranquility. The access road is passable without particular problems but is objectively a bit uncomfortable. Excellent cleanliness, friendly managers.

The location is excellent for those seeking relaxation and contact with nature. The problem, as many other reviews say, is getting to this bed and breakfast without breaking the car's suspension. Of course, everything is doable, everything can be reached. You just have to do it the right way. However, once you arrive, you are completely immersed in the countryside and the silence. The room we were assigned was unfortunately facing the dining room, so if you go to bed a bit earlier in the evening, you risk hearing the laughter of the other guests, but even this can be handled the right way. The food was very good, genuine, homemade. The breakfast is excellent with soft rolls, soft homemade croissants, and homemade apple pie from the hostess. There are two beautiful dogs that always greet you with joy and are very friendly. Overall, we had a great time. I believe that if you want true relaxation without spending much, you also have to know how to earn it, so the last kilometer on the bumpy road is fine if you are then immersed in absolute peace.

Very particular location immersed in nature, quiet and relaxing.

Beautiful location in the middle of the hills, dirt road to get there but easy to drive! Very kind and down-to-earth owners! Extra points for this b&b because they also serve dinner which is superb! Highly recommended.

We arrived late in the evening and with bad weather, Mr. Paolo welcomed us into his small and comfortable home showing us the room that was already heated. Traveling with an electric car, I had previously asked if there was the possibility to recharge the car overnight. The request was met and for this small gesture a big thank you to Mr. Paolo. The next day we woke up to a beautiful day, showing us the beauty of the small village with the flavor of a bygone era and all around the green hills that surround it. Thank you so much and see you next time.

Quiet location in the middle of greenery, but only 15 minutes by car from the Mugello circuit. A rustic farmhouse, which smells of history and family, simple but very welcoming. The family that manages 'Il Pittore' is friendly, simple but attentive, the room spacious with antique furniture that smells of wood, the large and functional bathroom. Dinner offers simple homemade dishes that cater to everyone's taste, excellent wild boar ragu tagliatelle chosen by my husband, the spaghetti carbonara devoured by my child, and my butter and sage gnudi were special. The family also sells their own products such as pickled vegetables and homemade liqueurs (long live nocino!). Genuine breakfast with fresh juice brought to the table without asking, soft and not too sugary croissants, bread butter jam, good and creamy cappuccino, and of course the various herbal teas, crackers, biscuits, puff pastries at the buffet. Natural sugar-free yogurt (excellent) suggested by the manager concluded our breakfast. Those looking for peace, simplicity, and authenticity feel in the right place. Thank you!

Very positive experience. Delightful structure in a secluded and quiet place, ideal if you desire relaxation, peace, and tranquility. The availability of the managers to meet the guests' needs is indisputable. Excellent breakfast to suit all tastes. An added value is the presence of Zeus, the lovely house dog, ready to receive cuddles without being intrusive. The final stretch of road leading to the structure is currently being reorganized.

Great location although a bit out of the way, but that's its beauty, excellent owners. Everything is of excellent quality.

Great experience. Very kind, helpful and attentive managers. Isolated and quiet place for those seeking some peace and tranquillity. Excellent breakfast even for my partner who is celiac.

We stayed for one night in this peaceful corner. The structure is located in the countryside. The manager was very kind, to underline the possibility of having dinner on site (paid service, but affordable and with delicious dishes) and the abundant breakfast.
