Very nice hosts that are willing to help the guests. No luxury, as expected for 2 stars and this price, great value for money. However, the room was quite hot during my stay and if I had been longer I would have asked if there is something to do about it, as I did not see any AC. In the summer it was quite annoying to not be able to cool down at the end of the day.

Nella sua camera era nella parete proprio di fronte al letto e accanto alla televisione. Inoltre ci sono 2 telecomandi sul comodino, uno nero per la tv e uno bianco per il condizionatore. Avrebbe potuto chiedere alla reception. Un caro saluto Roberta.

A very atmospheric location in the heart of ancient Genoa. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, and the room was impeccably clean and had all the necessities for a comfortable stay. Good wifi is also an advantage!

Roberta, the owner, is the most kind and spontaneous person imaginable. One instantly feels at home. Genoa is not the cheapest town to stay in, but for less than 100 euros a night you get a spacious 35 square meters room with high ceilings and antique frescoes (!). The Royal Palace is just a few steps away on the same street. Breakfast not included, but they only charge 60 cents for a bottle of mineral water. I would strongly recommend Hotel Balbi if you are looking for a homely feeling and an authentic Italian Palace. Robert, Amsterdam.

Superb hotel. The hosts are very friendly, speak French, and are attentive and available if there is any problem. They are close to the train station and the town center. I highly recommend it. There is nothing to complain about; perfect.

In the city center, hotel on the second floor without elevator? No parking, not even the one offered because we have a large vehicle, but the welcome and the room are very pleasant and well-maintained. To visit the city, recommended.

Very, very kind staff. Just for this reason, I would go back. Very courteous and helpful. The room was nice, in a historic building, there was even a kettle, even though the streets are very busy it wasn't noisy. I found it a bit difficult to climb the stairs because we were with a baby, it was on the fourth floor and I hadn't thought about it. The value for money is good. Unfortunately, due to Covid measures, they couldn't offer breakfast. In the area, you can take a walk along the harbor. To go to the beach, however, you need to take the car or the bus.

The structure is very dated, there is a lack of care in the rooms. The shower was broken and the single bed squeaked absurdly. It was impossible to sleep in it. There is no elevator, so you have to leave the heavy luggage at the entrance in a box. The B&B is very central with many small restaurants and bars nearby. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. For one night it can be okay.

Buonasera,La ringrazio per la buona recensione.Abbiano provveduto subito alle riparazioni .In effetti era leggermente staccato dal muro il sostegno del telefono della doccia ed e' bastato riavvitarlo. Per quanto riguarda il letto si era allentata in un punto la testiera dal muro anche questa in un minuto prontamente riparato. Ci spiace per quanto accaduto ma sarebbe bastato avvisarci alla reception che avremmo risolto subito gli inconvenienti

The hotel is very close to the station at Piazza Principe and a good starting point to visit the old port and the historic center. It is located on the second floor of a historic building. The structure is located in an optimal position for tourists who will move exclusively on foot or by public transport. The main sites of historical and cultural interest are indeed reachable on foot with a maximum half-hour walk to the furthest one. The hotel is very beautiful as it is actually a historic palace. The room in which I stayed was a triple, with beautiful frescoes on the dome ceiling that are truly spectacular, very spacious and equipped with every comfort. The managers are more than one and all very kind and cordial. They were indeed very willing to offer all kinds of information and suggestions for a top vacation. Highly recommended.

The rooms are spacious and clean but some are dark and noisy due to the fans. First stay all good, the second we had trouble resting precisely because of this. Also missing an elevator, for strollers and luggage it is really inconvenient even though there is a ground floor box. The price, however, is low compared to other hotels in the area and the staff is very kind. Fantastic location, close to the station.

Buongiorno, la ringraziamo per la recensione positiva e per essersi trovata bene, non comprendiamo però cosa intende per altre camere buie e rumorose dato che Lei ha pernottato solo in una camera e come ha potuto notare dalla sua, sono tutte ampie e spaziose. Le nostre camere hanno una metratura che va dai 25 mq ai 35 mq e quelle affrescate sono alte 6 mt. Solo le 3 camere singole sono standard e più piccole ma sempre con un french bed. Sulle ventole non so cosa risponderLe perché è la prima volta che un cliente lo fa notare. Forse si riferisce alle ventole nei bagni ciechi per l'aspirazione dell'aria essendo, ma si spengono e si accendono con la luce e su 13 camere ne abbiamo solo due, una era la sua l'altra di una camera distante 10 metri. Non vorrei che sia sia verificato un imprevisto rumoroso agli appartamenti turistici al piano di sotto ma sono gestiti da un'altra proprietà oppure in una camera a fianco della sua. Ci spiace averlo saputo solo adesso, altrimenti saremmo potuti intervenire immediatamente ed eventualmente spostarla di camera. Gli addetti alla reception sono sempre pronti, nel limite del possibile, a risolvere i problemi che si presentano, l'importante è essere subito informati. Distinti saluti Fabrizio.

The location is very convenient, in a nice historic building without an elevator but with an easy staircase. It is located 5 minutes from P. Principe station, which allows you to leave your luggage and continue exploring the city with comfortable walks. The owner is very friendly and helpful.

The room and the bathroom were very different from the ones in the photos, based on which I made the reservation. Despite the lack of practicality, the bathroom was very clean, as well as the room. The location is excellent for visiting the city and is close to the Principe station. The real strength is the gentleman at the reception, who managed to turn around a stay that started with a bit of disappointment.

Located right in the Historic Center of Genoa, you will be welcomed professionally by its very kind and helpful staff. From here you have the opportunity to visit all of Genoa on foot. If you arrive by car, you can use the long-term parking at discounted prices, but I would have preferred to arrive by train despite the luggage because it is very close to the Principe station. If I return to Genoa, I will ask for accommodation here again. Thank you Hotel Balbi and see you soon.

Structure in my opinion logistically very convenient from which you can easily reach many potential places of interest on foot. Hospitable, kind and helpful managers, and no less - discreet and not intrusive at the same time. I did not ask for breakfast so I cannot express myself on that, and but there are nearby bars where you can eventually have breakfast or snack... Mmm, also a great focaccia place right next door turning left. For the less sporty, 'elderly' or 'lazy' consider that there is no elevator but rather a few flights of stairs to climb on foot: better not to load up with too much luggage. Definitely recommended, especially for those who like to explore and not stay locked inside given the not too large size of the rooms (the one where I stayed at least). It went very well for me, I have a nice memory! Hi Federica, thank you!

Super nice managers the Balbi Family Hotel is located in an 1800s building with splendid rooms with frescoed vaults. Very close to the train station, old port and historic center. We spent a splendid week in Genoa, recommended.

The structure is really just a few minutes from everything, close to the train station and the center of Genoa, the room is cozy and equipped with a kettle with tea filters. The bathroom may be a bit small, but very well-equipped and comfortable. The staff is extremely polite and available to provide directions and information on the attractions to visit.
