Our B&B is placed at Verona art and culture location, in an area of great archaeological and architectural merit, in the old city centre nearby Arena. "Palazzo Gelmi" is a prestigious home for breathing in the scent of our past, unique, distinctive style, a building of the past where the magic of history blends with modern amenities.

The location is excellent as it is only a few steps to the arena. The host was very kind and helpful. She lent us a cushion and a script to go to the opera. The breakfast was varied and very delicious.

This is one of the best (if not the best) properties I have ever stayed in. It is in a 17th Century building that had been renovated skillfully without destroying the charm, but with good bathrooms, plumbing and electricity. Our room had some frescoes still on the walls and an inscription which the restorers uncovered when restoring the property; the host, Lodovica uncovered more and incorporated them into the decor. Lodovica and her daughter were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great with coffee or tea, fruit juices, yoghurt, muesli, fruit, bread, jams, croissants and baked goods. The location was fantastic with the Roman Arena literally no more than 5 minutes walk away. So it's right in the centre but down a small narrow street that does not interest the tourists. A great place from which to explore the city and with lots of restaurants close by. Highly recommended.

Palazzo Gelmi was the most charming place I stayed during a month long trip to Italy (and all of our places were nice!). My room was beautiful, with handpainted decorations on walls and ceiling, comfortable and very spacious. I did not want to leave it! It was also spotless! Every morning there was a big breakfast spread included, and the host was kind and gracious, making me feel at home. 5 stars across the board.

A super place to stay so close to the Arena. Lodovica is a wonderful hostess, so welcoming and provided lots of advice, gave us an abundant breakfast and was so helpful with tips for our stay in Verona. We certainly recommend this bed and breakfast. A short taxi ride from the train station. The room was spacious and very clean. Parquetry flooring a bit squeaky, as expected being part of the old family property. A delightful stay in all.

I had a pleasant stay of 3 nights at Palazzo Gelmi. Lodovica is exceptional. Her family has occupied the place since 1800. The location is ideal just a few steps from the arenas. The room is very comfortable and spacious. There are frescoes on the walls. The air conditioning is very quiet. I will return.

Really helpful, hospitable and friendly owner. Very spacious room with a small balcony overlooking the Arena. Stylish furniture, comfortable bathroom with a large shower. Guests have at their disposal a set for preparing tea/infusions and a bottle of water. I stayed with my family for a show at the Arena: given the weather conditions, the owner kindly provided us with cushions for seating and a rain poncho for my daughter, both very useful. Breakfast with a variety of quality products served in a charming breakfast room. The location of the property is very central for visiting the center of Verona.

A bit expensive, the quality/price ratio is not optimal. No TV in the room. The building is a bit run-down and sad: especially the entrance! Breakfast is lacking in fruit (despite the request). The owner is very friendly and cooperative. The location is stunning, just a stone's throw from the Arena. Unfortunately, there's a restaurant downstairs that gives off a smell of food: the same smell is also noticeable when entering the entrance gate.

A quick visit for Aida. Optimal location for those going to the Arena. Cittadella parking is just a few hundred meters away, very convenient. Mrs. Ludovica is a wonderful hostess who pampers her guests. The environment is truly romantic and welcoming.

It was magnificent! During my trip to Italy, this was the most charming structure that fully met all my requests and expectations. Moreover, the hostess spoke excellent German, which helped me a lot since I struggle to speak and understand English and Italian. I would gladly stay here for a few more nights as I really enjoyed this B&B. However, the price still seemed high for a city like Verona. Although this can be explained by the fact that the opera festival is taking place in Verona these days, and accommodation prices immediately rise.
