Our B&B is located at Venezia art and culture location, rich in archaeological sites and buildings of great architectural merit, quiet, for enjoying a stunning panorama, in the old city centre nearby Cannaregio. "B&B Casabaseggio" is a prestigious home where the echoes of times past linger in sounds, scents and emotions, a residence with unique, original style, a building of the past where the magic of history blends with modern amenities.

Lovely, clean apartment in a quiet neighbourhood but within easy walking distance of shopping, tourist attractions and local eateries. The apartment had an authentic Venetian feel to it. Marco communicated well, giving advice on the best way to get from the airport into Venice and then to his apartment. A lovely breakfast added to the charm of our stay.

Superb location in the quieter, non-touristy part of Venice with the best restaurants in town. Close to two vaporetto lines and the Alilaguna stop to the airport. The room is spacious, tastefully decorated, and the bed is great, ensuring a good night's sleep after all the walking. The hosts are marvellous, paying personal attention to your every need and detail. Their dog is awesome. If we come back to Venice, we will undoubtedly stay with Marco and Alessandra again.

The property is situated very near one of Cannaregio's liveliest canals with many bars and restaurants where you can watch the busy water traffic. We were upgraded to the mini apartment downstairs which was a bit dark but cooler (it was very hot during our visit). The property is owned by a very cultured couple and is furnished with art books amongst others, and beautiful traditional furniture. It's set in a lovely garden but you must take care with the uneven path.

We loved our stay at Casa Baseggio. Marco was a lovely host - very helpful in communicating before our arrival, and most welcoming when we arrived. The host was extremely helpful of where to go and where to eat. The room was very clean and we really enjoyed the stay. We arrived pretty late at night but some restaurants/bars were still open so we were able to grab cicchetti at Al Timon before bed (my personal favorite). The location is the best. Close to a vaporetto but not overrun with tourists. Walking at dusk it felt like you were alone in a romantic world removed from all worries. I would definitely stay here again!

Marco and his wife are spectacular hosts. The beds are comfortable and the birds singing in the gardens are amazing. The patio is a beautiful place to have breakfast to start the day. I just have to remind myself that there is one step into the bathroom (as I have found all over Italy). Hopefully the next time we come to Venice they will have a room available. Just to be informed, there was no TV but we didn't need one. We spent our time on the patio or out sightseeing. Thank you for opening up your home.

We love this part of Venice. The apartment was all we could wish for although we had trouble finding it. Marco's apartment was very clean and he explained everything to us. The breakfast was very good. Would recommend.

We stayed at B&B Casa Baseggio for 4 nights in October and I wanted to wait until the trip was over before I posted a review. My 2 adult daughters and I loved staying here. We found it easy to get there from the airport at the beginning of the trip and easy to get to the train station at the end. Marco was very attentive to our needs. When weather permitted, we were served breakfast on his terrace, a charming little spot that is just the way it looks in the pictures. He provided plenty to eat and lots of coffee! He answered our questions and gave us advice on sightseeing and restaurants, which was very helpful. The beds and rooms were very comfortable and ideal for us. I'm looking forward to staying with Marco and Alessandra the next time I visit Venice.

I loved staying at B&B Casa Baseggio and hope to return soon. Alessandra and Marco are such kind and gracious hosts. The room was beautiful, the aesthetics so pleasing, and all the amenities present to make one's stay easy and comfortable. Also, the directions were easy to follow, and not too far a walk to the waterbus to the airport. Marco and Alessandra also were very helpful with me figuring out directions to where I needed to go. Our room was clean, overlooked a courtyard, quiet, but with numerous bars and restaurants around the corner. It was about a 20-minute walk to the Basilica and 10 to the train station. Breakfast was plentiful with variety. I would stay here again.

This is an outstanding B&B. Superb location in a quiet area of Venice but very convenient for access to the city center and Vaporetto stop. Marco was very personable and helpful. His B&B is in a quiet area, away from heavy tourist traffic, yet close enough to get to any attractions. It was very easy to get to his B&B from the airport using the Alilaguna, we got off at the first stop and then walked 10 minutes.

What a divine little B&B. Marco and his family were so lovely. The room was clean, amply sized and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The apartment itself is a little way back from the 'street' and the outlook from the bedroom is onto the internal courtyard which is leafy and quiet. And the breakfast terrace looks out over a small public garden. We had an excellent night's sleep with the area being so quiet and peaceful. However, it was a short walk from the train station (perhaps not so easy with large suitcases though). The breakfast was delicious, fresh, and very filling. We were provided with a boiled egg, pastries, cheese, tomatoes with fresh oregano. Muesli, yogurt, fresh fruit, and jams. Kept us going until 2 pm! Marco happily offered to keep our bags if needed when we checked out. The only very small thing was that the wifi did not extend very well into the bedroom but that was not my priority for the stay. Thank you, Marco! What a joy.

Dear Peter, thank you for you review. Regarding the A/C, I would like to point out that this is a real normal house and not a hotel or a free-range, so we ask our guests to keep the air conditioning on only when they are in the room and to always turn it off when they leave. Furthermore, for practical reasons the air conditioning is turned off in the morning at 6.30 and can only restart after all breakfasts have finished. In any case, the morning is the coolest time of the day and therefore air conditioning is not really necessary. Either way, the air conditioning works well so there is no problem sleeping. About wifi, Your room is in fact the farthest from the wifi source and therefore the signal in that room is weaker than in the others. In any case we have the optical fiber and therefore in general and an excellent wi fi throughout the house. Regarding the cleaning of the room: the room is cleaned, sheets and towels changed every two or three days depending on the length of the guests' stay. Unfortunately you only stayed two days and therefore there was no room cleaning.

We enjoyed our stay in the quiet residential area of Venice, but it was still very close to restaurants and main thoroughfares. 15-minute walk to St. Mark's Square and 20-minute walk to the train station. Breakfast was a highlight both on the outside patio and in our room due to rain. WiFi was a bit patchy at times as was the air conditioner.\n\nJust a bit annoying but not too dramatic. Thanks to Marco and Alessandra for being wonderful hosts.

We were very well received by Marco and his wife in Venice in this very beautiful apartment, spacious, comfortable and very clean in a green setting. The neighborhood is very quiet, away from the crowd, close to a nice area with restaurants and wine bars and next to the Vaporetto departure for Murano and Burano. But above all, a big thank you to Marco and his wife for their advice, their kindness (the bed changed every day) and their magnificent breakfast taken on their terrace in the sun amidst the greenery. I highly recommend this B&B.

Well located in a quiet part of Venice but just steps away from the lively streets. Resting after busy days is very pleasant, or, you can eat an ice cream under a bridge while listening to street musicians. The room has all the comforts: good bedding, air conditioning, wifi, mosquito net in an impeccable state of cleanliness. Breakfast on the loggia is very friendly. The setting, the dishes (sweet, savory) sufficient and what we appreciated: the little morning egg. Marco and Alessandra are very attentive. Marco has great advice for visits and good dining addresses. Marco and Alessandra take great care of their tenants. It is an address that we will communicate to our friends if they want to travel to Venice.

The accommodation is located in an old monastery area - a green oasis in Cannaregio, a charming district not exclusively populated by tourists. The extremely friendly and helpful hosts create an atmosphere where you quickly feel at home. Great breakfast on the enchanting terrace. We will gladly come back!

We highlight the attention of Marco and Alessandra since they were attentive from the very first moment to make our stay easy. The breakfast was very good with a spectacular coffee that I did not expect and on a pleasant terrace. They provided me with gluten-free products at all times, without any problem. Regarding the room and private bathroom, they were simple but spacious and comfortable. Without a doubt, we could return and we will recommend it.

We are so happy to have had the opportunity to be guests of Marco and Alexandra. Both were so welcoming and we were very comfortable in our accommodations. A surprising touch, the pillows on our bed; I miss them! The terrace where breakfast is served is a true corner of paradise! Breakfast was perfect for both me and my husband. Personally, it was a pleasure to be completely catered to for my gluten-free needs: absolutely wonderful! I had gluten-free toast, a variety of fruit, a soft-boiled egg, fruit juice, and many other items and accompaniments were available. Personally, we found the price reasonable for the accommodations and would not hesitate to return!

Located in a romantic and unjustly little known area of Venice, B&B Casa Baseggio was a quiet refuge during the chaos of the Venetian Carnival days. We had a wonderful time, welcomed and pampered by Alessandra and Marco, in a comfortable and spotlessly clean structure, easily accessible by sea from the airport with public ferries and not far from the main tourist attractions. I really liked Casa Baseggio! We stayed for two nights and had a great time. The location is excellent as it is very close to all the main attractions of Venice, but at the same time it is located in a very quiet and charming neighborhood where you can breathe the authentic atmosphere of Venice. We managed to see everything by walking and also take the vaporetto to the islands just 2 minutes away from the bed & breakfast. For those who enjoy jogging, it is easy to meet people running between the bridges and alleys in the morning, while in the evening you can find the famous Venetian bacari for cicchetti and aperitifs. Additionally, Marco and Alessandra are super hosts, they welcomed us in person and were very kind and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and clean, overlooking a very quiet inner courtyard. The breakfast is excellent, highly recommended! If I were to return to Venice, I would definitely book with them again! Thank you for the excellent hospitality.

We spent two nights in this lovely B&B in the ghetto area of Venice. The location is great, the B&B is set in a very green and peaceful courtyard, just steps away from the main attractions and excellent places to taste the famous cicchetti. The rooms are clean and equipped with every comfort. The breakfast is delicious and served on a small terrace surrounded by greenery. The owner is extremely welcoming and helpful, giving us very useful tips on places to visit and restaurants to eat at. Highly recommended!

We stayed only one night and we had a great time. We were welcomed by Marco, the owner, a person of rare kindness who advised us on how to move around Venice. The extremely clean room overlooks a very well-kept garden. The abundant breakfast is served on a terrace from where you can see, beyond the cloister of the convent, the ancient school of the Misericordia. We will definitely return.

I stayed with my partner at this small and welcoming B&B Casa Baseggio. Perfect room, excellent cleanliness, and location, in our opinion, excellent, right in Cannaregio, a district in full expansion with many small local spots within easy reach and Rialto just a stone's throw away. But, in our opinion, the strong point is Marco and Alessandra, they welcomed us into their home making us feel immediately at ease. Doing the check-in sitting on the terrace sipping excellent coffee (strictly made with a moka pot) is unparalleled, kind, available, and above all dispensers of excellent culinary advice. Highly recommended, we will definitely return on our next wanderings in Venice.

Casa Baseggio is just the place I was looking for! It is located in a quiet area, away from the busiest tourist routes but very close to the heart of Venice and easily reachable from the station. The structure is well-kept, clean, and tastefully furnished in every detail. The little terrace where breakfast is served overlooks the garden of a convent, a real gem for Venice. The owners welcomed us with great kindness and attention. I had been to Venice before, but thanks to the suggestions of Marco (a true Venetian), I visited some places that I didn't know before, truly very suggestive... they also suggested some places where you can enjoy authentic Venetian cuisine at affordable prices or have an aperitif with the typical "cicchetti". The only downside is that we felt so good that it was hard to go back home. What can I say: I absolutely recommend it!

Casa Baseggio is a true bed & breakfast, because it is also the home of Marco (our host) and his family. The property is located within a garden, so it is very quiet, cool, and pleasant. The room where I stayed, with my husband and our daughter, was clean and welcoming. As a regular bed & breakfast visitor, I greatly appreciated some details that reveal genuine care for the guest: the glasses (made of glass) to keep on the bedside table in case of nighttime thirst, the supplies to make a tea or herbal tea in the room, the mini-fridge (always in the room) for those who want to keep drinks or a small shopping cool. Excellent homemade breakfast on the terrace, with bread and brioches, fresh milk, eggs, fruit juices, a large coffee moka, and a nice chat with Marco and his wife Alessandra. Recommended for those who cannot stand the coldness of hotels and are looking for the spirit of the city they are visiting.

We stayed in a group of three in a room at B&B Casa Baseggio. We chose this place for its strategic location, both in relation to the train station (we arrived by train, about 15/20 minutes on foot) and to Fondamenta Nove, about 15/20 minutes on foot (the starting point for vaporettos to the islands of Murano and Burano). The Cannaregio area is beautiful: it is part of the real Venice but not chaotic, on the contrary, it is very quiet and relaxing. The welcome from the manager was excellent! He showed us the room (part of his apartment, like the others) and gave us various fantastic directions, advice, and suggestions. The room was comfortable, clean, with total autonomy in returning and retrieving the luggage left in storage. I would return immediately and recommend it to anyone: couples, friends, families! We did not appreciate the manager's attitude at the time of payment, having used the holiday bonus for the stay. I believe that making customers feel uncomfortable is not pleasant, stating that normally the prices of the structure are quite different and that Venice has high prices because it is a destination for a few. We paid 111 euros for one night, the holiday bonus covered 80% of the total amount, with a breakfast, which is normally included in bed and breakfasts, at 7 euros per person.

Buongiorno Sig. Claudio, leggo la vostra recensione oggi davvero con grande stupore. La conversazione che abbiamo avuto riguardo Venezia ed il turismo e riguardo l'eccessiva pressione turistica per una città così fragile e delicata, non aveva nulla a che vedere con il prezzo che in tempi "normali" applico in settembre. Ricordo bene che abbiamo parlato dei prezzi alti per i trasporti pubblici e per il giro in gondola, che a causa dell'incedibile pressione turistica e dunque di una forte domanda, si applicano in città. Ho fatto presente - sempre durante la nostra chiacchierata - che in questa stagione 2020 i prezzi per il soggiorno sono più bassi del solito per le ovvie ragioni che tutti conosciamo. Non ho assolutamente detto peraltro che Venezia è una città per pochi e non lo penso affatto, anzi, a mio avviso Venezia deve essere visitata da chi la vuole davvero conoscere e che ha un interesse culturale per la sua storia e non certo solo per chi ha molti soldi da spendere, sarebbe molto lontano dalla mia cultura. Quindi non capisco proprio come mai vi siate sentiti messi in difficoltà a seguito di una conversazione sorta molto spontaneamente tra noi, senza altro fine che non fosse quello di una piacevole chiacchierata. Mi spiace proprio per questo strano malinteso. Riguardo al prezzo: avete pagato in tre adulti per una notte euro 111, vale a dire 70 per la camera doppia, più 20 euro per il letto singolo aggiunto, più 7 euro a testa per la prima colazione, per un totale appunto di euro 111. Un buon prezzo, ritengo. In questa stagione dò la possibilità di prenotare senza la prima colazione, ma voi comunque avete scelto di fare la colazione nel B&B. Ripeto, sono davvero sorpreso per questa recensione che trovo molto ingiusta e che non corrisponde - per quanto mi riguarda - al tenore delle nostra conversazione. Cordiali saluti. Marco Baseggio.

B&B Casa Baseggio is very welcoming. I really enjoyed the terrace where breakfast is served and the location in a neighborhood inside a courtyard with lots of greenery and close to venues frequented by the Venetians.

Casa Baseggio in Venice is the best solution to spend a few days in the Lagoon. The location is simply perfect, close to many services but very quiet in the evening. Alessandra welcomed us very well, giving us great advice and is always ready to help if needed. Highly recommended!

Quiet room and surroundings, albeit at a strategic distance from Santa Lucia Station, places to visit, taverns, and typical restaurants in Cannaregio. A truly pleasant stay. Abundant and tasty breakfast served on the little terrace overlooking the inner garden of the Abbey, one of the historic gardens of Venice, great peace and silence. Owners genuinely kind and helpful. Marco was also very punctual and precise in communications. Thank you for everything and see you soon!
