We loved our stay at La Pietra Rara. The hosts, Laura and Alfredo, are wonderful people, and made our visit most enjoyable. This is a real farm with chickens, geese, dogs, birds and a cat. The B&B is perfectly located, making it easy to explore both Tuscany and Umbria. You are near many interesting small towns like Montone, Cortona and Gubbio, plus larger cities like Perugia, Arezzo, Siena and Florence. Wonderful value. We'd love to return.

We spent 2 nights in the lovely Bed & Breakfast with Laura & Alfredo and also had a splendid BBQ with the two of them! It is a quiet and lovely place with a nice pool to cool down after spending the day in one of the beautiful towns in the neighborhood.

The place is very simple, welcoming and at the same time spartan. It is the classic country cottage, located in a wonderful setting. The breakfast is excellent and abundant, based largely on typical products of the same Property. The owners are extremely helpful and welcoming. They do not lack generosity and courtesy. We will definitely come back!

I stayed for just one night with my whole family consisting of five adults and a newborn, we slept in the "RUBINO" room and we had a great time. I would have liked to stay a few more days, I plan to return as soon as possible. A thank you to Mrs. Laura.

Beautiful place, quiet and immersed in nature, welcoming owner, helpful and very caring towards his guests, the only flaw is one of the two roads to get there that is not paved and with some bumps. Highly recommend.

Nice and characteristic structure, the owner is friendly, I would have preferred a freshly prepared breakfast instead of packaged in the room and I did not find in the booking notes that the structure had a white downhill road to reach it. Then during the stay, I found out that there are two roads. One is paved.

Salve Roberto, già da prima del COVID era imbustata ora è praticamente impossibile! Prima la colazione veniva servita in sala pranzo ma per questioni di distanziamento sociale è impossibile. Non faccio io le colazioni perché non solo si potrebbe essere allergici a dei componenti, ma non tutti voi avete i stessi gusti! Es.: fare una crostata di marmellata! a che gusto?..per buttarla il giorno successivo! comunque anche se imbustate (con tanto di scadenza e di ingredienti) spero abbia avuto un'ampia scelta, se non erro: cornetti vuoti da farcire con marmellata di fragole, ciliege, albicocche e pesche, brioche al cioccolato, fette biscottate, biscotti, latte, the, caffè in cialde o in polvere. il tutto in monouso o in ceramica. Ti ricordo che siamo un bed and breakfast e non un agriturismo ed è come se venissi a casa tua a pagamento e tu avresti da offrire tutte queste cose. A me personalmente mi sembra tanta roba! Ma se hai da darmi dei consigli da aggiungere (che non sia yogurt ne frutta, perché torniamo alla differenza di gusto) te ne sarò grata. Laura.

Beautiful and well-restored rural structure, immersed in the nature of the Umbrian hills; clean, well-kept and well-heated environments. Ideal for those who love a quiet and relaxing stay away from the city noises, a short distance from Montone, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. Extremely friendly and helpful owners, lovely people who make you feel immediately among friends! We only stayed one night, but we will definitely come back! Francesco and Tatjana.

We stayed at the B&B La Pietra Rara for just one night but the place is truly beautiful, the structure is clean and characteristic, immersed in the Umbrian hills. The hosts are very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. We will definitely come back for a longer stay. Great for weekends of rest and to enjoy some moments of relaxation.

La Pietra Rara, a charming place in the Umbrian hills. Laura and Alfredo are welcoming, helpful, and nice managers. We spent the New Year's weekend in two thousand thirteen, relaxing and fun. Excellent comfort and cleanliness. We highly recommend it.

A charming corner at the foot of the most beautiful village in Italy: Montone. Laura and Alfredo will welcome you with friendliness and dedication, providing you with a clean and comfortable accommodation and an enviable swimming pool. Laura's dinners (aside) are truly exquisite. I would prepare breakfast in the dining room, but that is a picky person's opinion. Absolutely recommended.
