Our B&B is placed in lush, quiet countryside, with lavish spa waters and facilities (Terme Francescane Village), in an area of great archaeological and architectural merit, in a location with a spectacular view. "Ilportico" is hospitable and comfortable.

Our location and the surrounding area offer our guests a chance to for shopping enjoy and buy local artisan products, explore cultural events and exhibitions, enjoyable long walks in the many gardens and stunning surrounding countryside.
Close by our guests will find several monuments and famous places.

Our property is the perfect place for families who like to travel and want to feel at home, for work and business trips, for a romantic holiday in a quiet, reserved setting, wellness and fitness at nearby spas, if you're looking to spend time in untouched nature.

Super positive experience, really beautiful place, with a wonderful pool to refresh after a long trip (by motorcycle in our case). Courtesy and availability of the managers while also providing privacy and comfort. A quiet little place just 1.5 km from the enchanting village of Spello and a few km from several attractions and villages in Umbria that are worth a visit. Moreover, the area of the B&B is just a few meters from a supermarket, ATM, and essential services. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, air-conditioned and spotless. Guests have access to a super cute breakfast room adjacent to the Portico with an abundant Italian breakfast. Definitely highly recommended! Thanks to Mr. Paolo and Mrs. Elisa for their courtesy and hospitality. Good job! ⭐

Beautiful structure immersed in greenery with a pool, a stone's throw from the center of Spello, Mr. Paolo kind, helpful and friendly, excellent breakfasts with sublime desserts. Definitely a 10 and praise!

Clean room, kind and helpful owner, good breakfast, nice pool! Structure very close to the center of Spello and a few kilometers from Assisi and Perugia. Highly recommended!

Delightful place, the facility is very clean and well-kept, excellent for the location from which you can quickly reach Spello, Spoleto, Assisi... the managers are very courteous and helpful, the lady prepares fantastic cakes for breakfast. Highly recommended place!

Family-friendly and warm welcome. Friendly and fun relationship with the owner. Property is very well maintained and the pool is truly relaxing. Located outside the center of Spello but reachable by car in a few minutes. Close to a supermarket and other useful services for DIY travelers. We really enjoyed our stay. I recommend to everyone. It's really relaxing after a day visiting the stunning villages nearby.

Excellent strategic location in the center of Umbria, close to all the various cities to visit. Safe and closed private parking, excellent cleanliness. It overlooks a very green lawn, with a meticulously cared for flower garden overlooking the excellent pool. Great breakfast with local zero km products, sweets made by the landlady, Mrs. Ornella, and her son Paolo, very kind and helpful. We will be back. Cristina and Stefano from Florence.

Excellent bed and breakfast, I highly recommend it to everyone. It's the second year I go back and it's always wonderful, it really feels like being with family thanks to Paolo's availability and the kindness and cooking (for breakfast) of mom Ornella. The location is strategic for visiting all the most beautiful cities in Umbria. The rooms are extremely clean, spacious, and equipped with all comforts. The pool is the highlight of this bed and breakfast to end a day. Thank you Paolo and Ornella.

We stayed at the property for 4 days. Arriving from the street, the first visual impact is not the best. I assure you that once you cross the gate, what you find staying in this B&B is all genuine and of excellent quality: breakfast, pool, rooms, cleanliness. Mrs. Ornella (good cakes at breakfast) and Paolo (the son) owners of the property are simple and very kind people. A special thanks to Paolo for his availability. Definitely to come back!

A truly welcoming, clean and spacious bed and breakfast. We had a double room with bathroom and direct access to the kitchen, where we had breakfast. The kitchen was available to us to prepare some food. The place is also a great starting point to visit Assisi, Perugia, Montefalco and many other Umbrian beauties. I rated the location 9 only because there is a railway nearby, even though trains do not pass at night and you can sleep very well. The owners are very kind (but also discreet) and Mrs. Ornella's sweets are delicious. You will definitely have a great time. We stayed three days first, then we had planned to stay in Orvieto for another three days but after one day we returned to Spello at Il Portico (and I think this says it all).

Very nice, new and clean structure, also strategically located to reach various countries in the surrounding area. Very kind and helpful managers to provide useful information to travelers. Unfortunately, the proximity to the very busy road and the railway does not make it as quiet as a place in such a pleasant location.

New structure, very beautiful and clean. Strategic position to move easily towards numerous locations (Marmore, Norcia, Perugia, Montefalco, Assisi, the beautiful Spello itself). Very convenient internal parking especially for those like me who traveled by motorcycle. Pleasant surprise every morning at breakfast the delicious cakes of Mrs. Ornella.

The structure is very graceful, managed in a family way and with professionalism by the owners. It is definitely a B&B to recommend to friends and where to return for a next stay in the area. The not high rating given to the location of the structure is only due to the not particularly beautiful road context. On the other hand, the advantage is given by the proximity to the expressway and the complete absence of traffic that, together with the private parking, allows for quick and stress-free movements and returns.
