We stayed at Relais San Baio for four nights and would love to start by giving our compliments to the owner, Lorenzo. Communication with him was smooth and fast — if we needed anything, he was always ready to help. He responded to WhatsApp messages within minutes and immediately took care of whatever was needed.\n\nDue to unforeseen circumstances, I had to leave earlier than planned, and Lorenzo even took the time to personally drive me to the airport — a gesture we truly appreciated.\n\nAs for the relais itself: it’s beautifully maintained, spotlessly clean, and tastefully decorated with a stylish, modern touch — something you rarely come across in Italy. The swimming pool is absolutely stunning, with plenty of comfortable sunbeds for everyone.\n\nBreakfast was another highlight: you could sit outside and enjoy a generous buffet, and on top of that, you could order eggs or French toast — honestly the best we’ve ever had.\n\nThank you for a wonderful stay — we’ll definitely be coming back!

Relais San Baio is a very cozy and warm-hearted accommodation which we liked a lot. It is embedded in a beautiful landscape characterized by an olive grove. The property consists of a few separate small houses, each of them hosting the actual rooms. There is a separate breakfast building with an open architecture separating the pool area from the rest in the upper part of the property. We did not expect this kind of setup but it makes sense for this kind of accommodation. Lorenzo, the property manager and the team were very charming, helpful, and incredibly friendly. The garden, the rooms, the breakfast house, just everything was designed with so much loving attention to detail. Guess this was one of the most warm-hearted and welcoming breakfast tables ever seen. The chocolate waffles are not of this earth! The room was spacious, beautifully designed and we enjoyed the excellent mattress same as the state-of-the-art TV. We saw a bit of improvement potential in the cleanliness of the room. The installation of mosquito screens could help avoiding unnecessary bites. Summarizing it we had a great stay and can recommend Relais San Baio to everybody looking for something special!

The stay was perfect overall. The manageable size of the resort was particularly pleasant — with the small number of rooms there was a very private, relaxed and personal atmosphere. You felt welcome immediately and were able to quickly make nice contacts with other guests. The warm and open manner of the hosts also certainly contributed to giving the stay a special touch. Even though the coffee did not come from an espresso machine, the buffet was excellent. The pool is a natural swimming pond, clean and beautiful to look at, good for cooling off and short dips, not for endurance swimming. The pool area is wonderfully equipped with sun loungers. The hosts gave many tips for restaurants and visits to nearby places. Highly recommended.

Lorenzo and Sara are very accommodating and warm owners. The accommodation is in a modern design and comfortable. We felt very good there and will come back again.

Place found by chance on the map while looking for somewhere inland near Bolgheri. Everything is exactly like the photos. Very kind staff and the list of recommended nearby restaurants they send you is a real plus. We went to Ozium and to the Locanda Le Giunche, both were delicious. Breakfast, however, was without doubt my favorite part, everything homemade and delicious. We will definitely come back!

Everything was super well taken care of, attentive to every request. I recommend it. The poolside lunch was delicious.

I spent a very pleasant weekend at Relais San Baio with my partner, and we were fully satisfied. The place is very well-kept, with a large lush garden that frames the beautiful swimming pool. The room is also very nice and designed in every detail. The combination of these elements allowed us to spend a day of total relaxation, and then conclude the mini-vacation beautifully with a hearty breakfast buffet. I particularly appreciated the presence of lactose-free foods and homemade products. The staff is helpful, professional, and welcoming, able to meet every need always with a smile. Excellent!

I spent a long weekend with my family and everything was perfect. We were given great recommendations for nearby restaurants. An excellent solution for visiting and relaxing at the pool at the end of the day.

Excellent location to visit the medieval villages, but also 5 minutes from the sea.
