A superb B&B in the Oltrarno district that I recommend without hesitation. Alessandra and Beatrice are the warmest, friendliest and kindest hosts you will have the pleasure to meet. Their home is perfect and the breakfast superb with home made bread and pastries. Any spares are packed up to take on your day's excursions along with a piece of fruit. They are keen to share their knowledge of their home city and give suggestions of where to go etc. I gave the location/position 8 only because some people my find it too far from the city centre. Trust me, it is not. I walked and it takes about 25 minutes plus the #11 bus from Santa Maria Novella Station and numerous stops within the city centre deposits you directly outside the property! As an example, first day I walked to the Boboli Gardens (magnificent views of the city) in the Porta Romana area. Second day I walked all the way into the centre. You can also walk to Piazzale Michelangelo for more stunning views and sunsets. This can also be easily reached from the centre.

Very warm welcome from Alessandra and Beatrice, impeccable room and excellent comfort, hearty breakfast, delicious with homemade products.\n\nOnly downside: the traffic in the street, in the morning.\n\nGood location to reach the center: the bus stop is in front of the B&B.

Excellent address both for the geographical location of the house, 20 minutes walk from the center or bus in front of the house, and for the extreme kindness of the hostess Alessandra who spoiled us with very good and hearty breakfasts every day and with homemade bread and cakes, a real treat. The room is very clean and spacious with a kitchenette. In addition, we benefited from valuable advice on visits, restaurants, and were able to bring back works of art from her daughter Beatrice who is very talented. Everything is perfect. Go there without any hesitation.

A very friendly host. We felt very comfortable. The accommodation is located in a family house, so a very familiar atmosphere. Beatrice and her mother are very friendly and helped us with any questions. The street is very noisy, but with closed windows it's not a problem. Would book again anytime.

I am very happy to have chosen Fior di Gelsomino. Strategic location to go both downtown and outside Florence. Bus stop right in front of the structure. Warm and kind welcome from Beatrice and Alessandra. Excellent breakfast with croissants and sweets made by them. Beautiful room and bathroom with every comfort. Like being at home with many extra cuddles. Thank you!

Truly a beautiful place, perfect welcome, feels like being at a friend's house! The room is very clean and equipped with everything you need, some noise coming from the street but nothing can be done about it, cleanliness and availability of Alessandra and Beatrice and a careful and rich breakfast, really pleasant. The area is very convenient to reach the center while staying in a quiet place, I recommend it.

We stayed at the B&B for 2 nights during the Firenze Rocks Festival. We really enjoyed our stay, the room was very clean and equipped with all the necessary comforts. Beatrice and Alessandra are two very kind and helpful people and also gave us many tips on what to visit in Florence and where to eat. We will definitely return.

Very kind and helpful managers. Spacious room with fine 1900s furniture. Large bathroom.\n\nBreakfast in a pleasant lounge in front of a Norwegian stove.\n\nI could admire an internal courtyard with a garden where breakfast is served outdoors in summer.

Very welcoming, family-like, warm, unforgettable structure. The bus stop is 5 meters away and in 5 minutes you reach the center. It takes about 25 minutes on foot among small and charming characteristic shops. We had some great moments in the company of Fior di Gelsomino. From today we have decided that we will return often. Florence is a beautiful city to live in and to savor little by little. We recommend weekdays where the museum lines are minimal. By the way, in Florence there is no diet, you take advantage of everything. Beautiful places.

The structure is small but very welcoming, modern, clean, and well-furnished. Excellent hospitality. The only small inconvenience is the location on a street with rather heavy traffic. I recommend it also for its proximity to the center, ten minutes on foot from the Boboli Gardens (downhill) and twenty minutes uphill on the way back.
