This is an amazing place with the best hosts. The rooms were clean and private, and the location was right between the airport and the city center with easy access to the tram. The breakfast was great, especially considering the restrictions B&Bs have on the types of food they can serve. Breakfast on the patio was an extra fun touch.

Lara and Lorenzo were lovely and accommodating. I had a very comfortable and relaxing night before my flight the next day. It was very easy to get from the property to the tram stop. It was also located by several delightful restaurants. I will definitely stay here during my next trip to Florence.

It was one of the cleanest and tidiest rooms we have stayed in, the hostess was very kind and friendly, the location is perfect too, because with the tram you are in the city center in 10 minutes. Delicious breakfast and really very nice service from the kind lady.

Super nice and helpful hosts, Lara takes time to explain you the best places to go. The location is easily accessible by tram or on foot, the area is quiet. I had a great stay and will definitely go there again when in Florence. Side note: As in other B&Bs in Italy, it's good to bring earplugs.

Lorenzo and his wife are amazing hosts! Lorenzo went above and beyond explaining how to get around the city, where to eat, where to go for groceries, etc. Their B&B is clean, spacious and has an excellent location. Two blocks from the metro station. Breakfast was delicious and abundant. Will recommend to anyone who’s planning on visiting Florence!

Location was not far from the tram stop, making fairly easy access to the city center, though the price was a bit high to not be located in the city center. However, Lorenzo was an amazing host. He was super helpful in providing information and was very attentive. The place was cleaned daily and even though the breakfast was basic, it was sufficient to start the day and the coffee was made fresh. Overall a great stay.

This property was a wonderful place to stay. The host was extremely helpful and had wonderful recommendations. The balcony was refreshing and the rooms clean and comfortable. Being a block from the tram made it very convenient to down town Florence without having to worry about the ZTL. We loved our stay here.

The stay at "Il Grillo di Firenze" pleased us very much. The host was extremely friendly and helpful - a truly wonderful experience. The room with a balcony was tidy and more than sufficient. We also had a good start to the day with the breakfast. The center of Florence is reachable on foot in 20 minutes. This is a compromise between absolute proximity to the center and good accessibility by car - traffic in Florence is quite heavy. Overall a very nice and eventful stay. A big thank you to Lara!

Lara is an incredibly friendly and warm hostess. After arrival, she explained in detail the city's attractions and all the details about the accommodation. The B&B rooms are modern, functional, and very clean. The homely atmosphere during breakfast makes the stay very personal and is absolutely unique. The hostess devotes a lot of time to her guests and visibly enjoys the personal contact with them. I will gladly come back and can highly recommend the accommodation!

Very pleasant stay. The hosts are very kind and attentive; they serve breakfast themselves and gave us both tourist and gastronomic recommendations for the city. In our case the room opened onto a large terrace shared with the other guests, ideal for having breakfast outside. The room has air conditioning, which was much appreciated because it was very hot those days. If we return to Florence we will stay here again. Highly recommended.

Overall very good, well connected to the center with tram T2 and the train station. Spacious room, everything very clean, new, and the owners very kind explaining everything in detail. Personally, regarding the mattresses, as they may be comfortable for others, they were too soft for us and the pillows were very thin. We asked for more pillows and they provided them. If you are tall, in my case 185 cm, my feet touched the metal at the end of the bed. The breakfast was good.

Great place, with a great location and very comfortable. Host simply perfect! We needed to check out earlier than usual and for this reason she prepared a perfect breakfast basket for us. My family and I stayed at the B&B "Il Grillo di Firenze" for one night. My two-year-old children were super happy to be able to run and play on the veranda. The tram stop just a few steps from the accommodation allowed us to reach the city center in just over 5 minutes. For those like us looking for accommodation in Florence for medical visits, I add that the structure is very close to Meyer and Careggi. Thank you for the hospitality.

The accommodation is very welcoming, clean, and well-organized. Every morning the room was cleaned and the beds were made. The breakfast is good and abundant. I stayed with my family and my boyfriend during the Easter weekend. Lorenzo, the owner, welcomed us making us feel comfortable right away. He made himself available for us on everything. Delicious breakfast and the place is very clean, there were also other guests with whom we occasionally exchanged some small talk. The location of the place is excellent, not right in the center of Florence (let's say more residential area) but it's perfect because it's in a quiet area and close to the tram stop to reach the central station and the city center. If I were to return to Florence, I wouldn't waste time looking for other places to stay and I would go back directly to the Grillo di Firenze. :)

The location is very convenient as it is quite close to the T2 tram stop, making it easy to get there from both the SMN station and the airport. I stayed at this property for 2 nights and I had a really great time. It is located on the sixth floor of a residential building with an elevator (a bit dated but functional), in a non-central area but full of shops and close to public transport, with the tram stop just a 5-minute walk away. The managers are very kind and available for any need. My double room had all the comforts stated in the description, and the cleanliness was excellent. In the morning, there is a truly abundant breakfast, sweet but also savory. Very positive experience, I would gladly return.

The structure is located near the tram stop, a few minutes from the center. Being outside the ZTL area, you can easily reach it by car and it is easy to find parking. We used the tram for getting around, one passes every 5 minutes. The rooms are clean, with air conditioning and smart TV. The owner is very kind, he recommended the places to see, provided maps and museum schedules. Ideal environment for families, very quiet and well-kept. We will return in autumn hoping that beautiful Florence will be able to recover. The crisis has shaken the city.

The manager is really very helpful for every request. Upon arrival, he also provided us with many useful indications. The location is favorable to reach the Visarno Hippodrome on foot in a short time for concerts and is also close to the station, reachable in 15-20 minutes on foot or by public transport. The room and bathroom were clean, the room was air-conditioned, and the beds comfortable. The common areas and the terrace were equipped and quite spacious. Our room was close to the common breakfast area and the entrance. Every slight noise and people talking could be heard. There was not good sound insulation. Overall positive experience.

B&B without too many pretensions, nice, clean and welcoming structure, very kind and helpful staff. Well served by public transport and easy to reach even by car.

Breakfast is very subjective. Surely the cappuccino was not the one I am used to, but every place has its own traditions and cappuccinos. The choice was quite diversified, the quantity is surely linked to the number of guests. The structure is chosen based on one's own needs and therefore the location is generally always optimal. I would have liked to have a full-length mirror, even inside a wardrobe door, but I understand that it is definitely a minor issue for most men. However, the availability of the managers was superb. They accommodated my schedule in a kind and friendly manner without causing me any difficulties. Until next time.

Hearty congratulations to Mr. Lorenzo for his kindness and availability. The rooms are very cozy and clean, with a magnificent terrace. The property is in a strategic location very close to the center and bus stops, I definitely recommend it to everyone.
