Amazing B&B for cyclists, perfect stop on the Tuscany Trail. Breakfast was great and the hosts Davide and Laura were very accommodating, even for late arrivals.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at B&B Il Ceppo. The hosts were incredibly kind and paid great attention to the needs of their guests. The room was spacious and in a typical Tuscan decor. Very clean. Breakfast was abundant, with a wide range of options to suit everyone and fantastic coffee. Additionally, I enjoyed lunch in the restaurant a couple of times, which was some of the best food I had during my visit to Tuscany. The B&B is conveniently located about 15 minutes from the Siena city centre, which made visiting simple. I would highly recommend staying at B&B Il Ceppo.

All the staff warmly and sincerely welcomed us. They were very generous. The room was clean, spacious, and sparsely furnished. The breakfast was the best ever.

We received an excellent welcome. And the breakfast is royal, abundant, varied, and delicious. Rooms a bit cool at the beginning of the season.

The owners are very friendly and helpful, the food is excellent. Close to Siena and near a fast bus service to Florence. Well located to explore Tuscany. Good private parking. A very pleasant stay.

Excellent establishment where we stayed for 3 days with my wife, and we were amazed. The owners are very attentive even though we don't speak a word of Italian, the view was magnificent. They took great care of us, advised us as best as possible to make our little trip very successful and it was a hit. For us, it will be an essential relaxation destination for our next trip to Italy.

Since we had a breakdown on the way and could not arrive, we had to cancel. The accommodation provider was very nice and asked several times. Free cancellation. So customer-friendly.

Since the restaurant is closed on Tuesday and there are no dining options within walking distance (via Francigena), the host prepared us a beautiful cold platter upon request. This is customer service. Thank you.

The hosts are very attentive and caring, promptly and kindly fulfilling special requests like an iron or an adapter. The breakfast was abundant, delicious, quickly served and they always checked if you wanted something else. A traditional accommodation with Italian hospitality and warmth. We were very satisfied and will come back!

Very spacious rooms, quiet location, parking in front of the door... and a great breakfast. What more could you want. Siena and Monteriggioni just a few km away. If you fancy a very good Tuscan meal at lunchtime... the owners run a trattoria right on site.

We had a really good time. Friendly staff, clean room, good and genuine products.

An unique and unforgettable experience!😍 We discovered this B&B by chance, located in a strategic point between Monteriggioni and Siena, and we also stopped there, curious about the excellent reviews from other travelers. The owners and the staff are truly wonderful!!!🙏🥰 Kind, helpful, sociable, friendly, efficient, attentive, and caring, always ready to make you feel at home! Lunch consisted of an eggplant pie filled with anchovies and tuna, a platter of local cured meats and cheeses, ribollita, panzanella, baked potatoes, bread, house red wine, and a trio of desserts. Everything was delicious!❤️ And luckily we drank two excellent local bitters to aid digestion!!!!😅😅 We then decided to stay overnight there. The room was clean, tastefully decorated, with air conditioning, a comfortable mattress, and a beautiful view of the surrounding hills, and at night it was very cool and quiet. The owner then recommended 4 excellent restaurants in Monteriggioni where we would go for dinner! And we are extremely grateful for that! But the real discovery was the champion's breakfast!😻🤣 I think, honestly, it was the most abundant, exquisite, varied, and unusual breakfast we've ever had in Italy!😋😋😋 (See attached photos!) Sweet pastries, tarts, bread, butter, jam, fresh orange juice, cured meats, cheeses, and scrambled eggs! And even here, everything was excellent!!!!💙 Food and service! But the highlight was when he brought us the red wine paired with anchovies, olives, stuffed chili peppers with tuna, spring onions, all in oil, plus a variety of savory crostinis, and finishing with the panzanella!😍😍😍 Fantastic food!!!🍷🍷🍷🔝🔝🔝 Oh, and let’s not forget the coffee with grappa!!!😋☕🍾 The moral.... we got up satisfied, happy, and didn’t need to have lunch!🤣 Truly a positive experience! The kindness and hospitality shown to us really warmed our hearts! ❤️ 100% recommended!🔝 Prices for lunch, accommodation, and breakfast are competitive!😉 Free parking available nearby. If we happen to pass through that area again, it will be a fixed stop!!!!🤗 Thank you very much and keep it up, because you are truly great and unique!🔝🫂💘🙏

The stay at this B&B was fantastic, both for the welcome and kindness of the owners and staff and for the cleanliness. The breakfast should be called lunch because it ranges from sweet to savory (they even bring wine!) and they also offer to pack something for you from what you obviously couldn't finish eating, to take with you during your day's excursion. The proximity to Siena and Monteriggioni, the treatment received, and the precise information that the owners provided us regarding the places to visit in the surroundings make this B&B really special, highly recommended!

An unforgettable stay at the B&B. Il Ceppo. At the end of May 2025, we had the pleasure of spending four days in Tuscany, randomly choosing the B&B Il Ceppo in Monteriggioni. From the first contact, the owner Mrs. Laura proved to be extremely helpful and friendly, so much so that her cordiality contributed to our choice. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Davide, Laura's brother, who offered us a welcome drink and immediately made himself available for any needs. The structure, simple but well-kept, stands out for its order and cleanliness, offering a pleasant and welcoming environment. The biggest surprise was the breakfast: every morning an extraordinary buffet that delighted us with a variety of sweets, savory dishes, and hot or cold drinks, served without any restrictions. The generosity and attention to detail made every awakening a true pleasure. Thanks to the map of the area and the valuable advice from Davide and Laura's husband, who is equally talented and helpful, we managed to organize our days exploring the wonders of Tuscany with clear and useful indications. After this extraordinary experience, we can only recommend the B&B Il Ceppo to anyone looking for genuine hospitality, impeccable service, and an attention to detail that makes guests feel truly special. I had a great time, the managers were very kind and available to suggest destinations and itineraries. Very spacious and comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast that varied and abundant I had never found before. Very convenient and quiet location, I was really well, I hope to return soon. Highly recommended both for the well-furnished room, equipped with all amenities, spacious and very clean, and for the breakfast that was truly above expectations. Friendly and family-like atmosphere.

Good structure in terms of offer/price. Really caring and friendly managers. Recommended.

The room is very clean and tastefully furnished. The breakfast is more than abundant with excellent quality Tuscan cold cuts and cheeses, marinated anchovies and preserves, various bruschettas, scrambled eggs and desserts; all accompanied by "agricultural coffee". The hospitality of Mrs. Laura and her team is incredible, one feels at ease. The location is strategic for visiting Siena and its surroundings, from Monteriggioni to San Gimignano to Volterra and Colle Val d'Elsa. Do not miss the Abbey of San Galgano and the museum dedicated to it in Chiusdino.

At first glance, I was disappointed with the location of the structure, but I must say that the room was extremely clean and the manager was very helpful. As for the breakfast, it was excellent and super abundant.

We stayed 2 nights in this B&B, very comfortable to visit various points of interest in the surroundings. The spacious rooms and bathroom are well maintained and clean, but what struck us the most is the breakfast that I would define more as a brunch, brought to the table of each guest, very abundant and with various types of sweet and savory treats that you can't help but try just for how inviting they look. We have just returned from B&B Il Ceppo, located 5 km after Siena. It is a strategic location for all directions you may want to take by car. The structure is comfortable both for the bedrooms, which are clean and well equipped, and the bathroom, which is not small. The kindness and hospitality of the owners are phenomenal. They gave us a lot of information about excursions to do, particularly on non-touristic routes. Top breakfast, with cold cuts, sweets, cheeses, jams, scrambled eggs, and various types of sauces and preserved vegetables. A bomb!!! Surely, when returning to Siena, we will know where to stay. Thanks to Il Ceppo.

Authentic Tuscan hospitality! Strategic location to better explore the territories of Siena, rich in villages, trails, hot springs, and unspoiled nature. Great price and super abundant breakfasts with trays of cold cuts and cheeses, bruschetta, croissants, cakes, and the inevitable tripe, accompanied by their good wine! We chose the B&B Il Ceppo for its strategic location. It is located a few kilometers from the stunning Val d'Orcia, the spectacular Chianti and its wonderful castles. Don't miss the visit to the Brolio castle and the Val d'Elsa. Furthermore, the wonderful villages of Volterra and San Gimignano are very close by. Speaking of the property, we were amazed by the hospitality and the clean rooms. The breakfast was extraordinary, Mrs. Laura in the kitchen works wonders. Few times have I given a 10 to a structure. Just one word: perfect.\nThe price paid was the lowest found in the area, the room large and clean, I stayed in a double for single use but it was really very big. The kindness and availability of the owner was exceptional right from the start and the breakfast in the morning was the icing on the cake, abundant and extremely good. I will definitely come back!

Stopping here is always a wonderful experience. The owners are very kind, they truly do their best (and more!) to make us feel at home, among friends. The property is beautiful and clean, it is located in a position that I consider excellent both for visiting Siena (10 minutes away) and as a starting point for tours in those areas (Crete Senesi, Val D'Orcia, Pienza, the famous "Eroica"). In addition to all this, you will be greeted warmly, with great sympathy and passion by the owners who will also provide you with valuable advice on restaurants and places to visit. Holiday 'worry free'. If you want to be comfortable in every direction, Siena, Montepulciano, Volterra, via dei castelli, and you are passionate about bikes, you should consider B&B Il Ceppo. Hospitality, kindness, and comfortable rooms will accompany you during your holiday. In the morning, the breakfast will satisfy all your desires. And when you have finished your stay, you would already want to go back.

Great location to visit the province of Siena, the rooms are clean and spacious and the breakfast is legendary. All the staff is kind and helpful.

What can I say, everything exceeded expectations. The owners are fantastic people, they welcomed us with sympathy and treated us as if we were long-time friends. The rooms are well-kept, clean, and definitely renovated a few years ago. The location, not far from Siena, allows you to enjoy the tranquility of the outskirts and at the same time to reach the city center in a few minutes by car. The breakfast was top-notch, rich and delicious. Congratulations, we will meet again!

Great location of the B&B Il Ceppo, great welcome and hospitality from the Managers. As for me, the breakfast is abundant, but in 2022 not finding plant-based milk and fruit in the breakfast makes you lose some points.

Familiar atmosphere.

It is one of those places that you cannot fail to recommend for those who want to go to Siena. Friendliness and sympathy of the managers first and foremost, but also the structure and location allow you to enjoy your stay reaching Siena in a few minutes. And what about breakfast and the food served at lunch? Worthy of being called real home cooking with excellent flavors. It is advisable to book for lunch otherwise there is no place available.

I have been going to B&B Il Ceppo for years! Exceptional staff, hospitality, friendliness, and courtesy at the highest level! It is located between Siena and the beautiful Monteriggioni! For me, it is a must-stop every year. I recommend it.

Excellent reception. Super breakfast.

Spectacular!

If you stop to sleep at Davide's B&B Il Ceppo, and breakfast is included in the overnight stay, consider not needing to go to lunch the day after the overnight stay! The breakfast is very abundant, so much so that it's impossible to eat everything that will be offered. Cold cuts, cheeses, bread, various pickles, and even scrambled eggs with tripe, accompanied by a folkloristic agricultural coffee (red wine) precede the pastry cakes, the homemade cakes, and the spectacular blueberry jam! The structure, on the other hand, is very pretty, finely furnished, with a well-cleaned bathroom... nothing is missing, especially the Tuscan lily, even on the bedspreads! In short, more expensive than in other parts of Italy, but... definitely worth it!

It was an excellent choice. It was the structure we were looking for for that type of vacation. In a central position to move to nearby territories for trekking on the hills, bike rides, visits to art places. The managers are wonderful people, hospitable, kind, available to provide any kind of information. We couldn't have asked for better.

Located in a strategic area. Very close to Siena, Monteriggione, and nearby areas. Extremely kind managers always ready to give directions and tips about the territory. Too bad we only stayed one night, the owner and all the staff were welcoming, helpful, and professional. The breakfast is fit for champions, from savory to sweet in a transversal way, it practically looks like a lunch. We will definitely return due to the proximity to Siena.

It's worth even just stopping to eat. The staff is helpful, kind, the rooms are nice, clean and equipped with every comfort, the managers are lovely people and their products are exceptional, just like the breakfast. It's already the second time we've stayed and we will definitely come back.

We were really good, especially for the welcome and friendliness of the managers and for the truly extraordinary breakfast, practically a lunch and of excellent quality. Unfortunately, there were insects in the shower in our room and this prevents me from giving the highest marks but, given the rest of the impeccable cleanliness, I believe it was an unforeseen and certainly not usual event.

I could not give a higher score. If the maximum is 10 to the managers, to the quality-price ratio and to the breakfast (more lunch than breakfast) I would have given 11! I highly recommend it. I sincerely thank Laura, Davide and Lello for their willingness to meet our every request and for the valuable itineraries they suggested every morning. B&B Il Ceppo located a few kilometers from Siena (reachable in 10 minutes). Possibility of guarded parking in garage on request and availability. Optimal location to visit the Chianti Valley. Great availability of the managers to best indicate and optimize visits in the surroundings. Exaggerated breakfast (you can choose everything and more, including tripe).

What to say, must try. Welcoming environment, friendly owners who make you feel at home. And then the food, with breakfast that is a whole program that is worth only that the price paid.

The room was very clean, the staff was courteous, and the breakfast was excellent and plentiful. It is truly a beautiful memory.

The owners are very kind and helpful. The breakfast is abundant and of high quality. It is located a few minutes from Monteriggioni and Siena. Definitely recommended.
