"Aethalia Bed And Breakfast" is welcoming, with refined attention to detail.

Breakfast served from the Bed and Breakfast Aethalia, is composed of a variety of delicacies typical of the island prepared by Massimo, the owner of the b & b. Si ranging from empty croissant with jam and cream to rice pudding, from fruit juices ace, orange, pineapple with various cuts of meats such as bacon, ham, salami typical of the island. Exceptional circumstances and at the request of clinte also prepare omelettes cooked eggs and other tasty things on time and inventiveness of the owner Massimo.

In reality, I should give two different ratings to the facility: 9 for the first eight nights, 3 for the last two. Massimo and the staff are very kind and helpful. The location is beautiful, above Portoferraio with a lovely view of the gulf and in 5 minutes by car you reach the center. Beautiful garden very well maintained with comfortable private parking. Breakfast served in the garden under the shade of two very lush olive trees with a view of Portoferraio and the sea. The room for the first 8 nights was nice, equipped with air conditioning, large screen TV, refrigerator, safe, large wardrobe, spacious windowed bathroom that is not always found in these accommodations. For the last 2 nights we were transferred to another room. Massimo told us it was an attic room but it was still equipped with everything like the other rooms. It is true that it has everything if not more: 2 TVs, fridge, kitchenette, 2 bathrooms. The problem is that it is VERY attic-like, with an average height of perhaps 170 cm. I am 187 cm tall (and for this reason I do not consider myself out of shape) so I could only stand upright in the center of the room, otherwise I had to move bent. Moreover, the room is very dark and hot, being an attic, in fact it is here that we had to activate the air conditioning even at night. The bathroom adjacent to the room is equally low with a very small access door, the other, on the ground floor, is accessible via a very steep, narrow staircase with narrow steps. Our advice is: feel free to stay at Aethalia because it is nice, but do not be given the ROOM ABOVE as it is uninhabitable, moreover it is not worth the mere difference of 10 € less compared to the other room.

Massimo, a guarantee for my holidays. Originally from Elba Island, I have been living in Pisa for years and spent my week in complete relaxation and tranquility at Aethalia B&B. Everything perfect from breakfast to very accurate cleaning. Nothing to complain about, just compliments and good luck for the season. Greetings.

The bed and breakfast is in a strategic location, very close to the most beautiful beaches on the island. The structure is very well maintained by the manager Massimo, who takes care of everything, the breakfast is excellent, and the stay was wonderful for us.

Massimo, the manager, was really kind and helpful... besides being very nice! The B&B is about 2 km away from the center, but the view and tranquility are worth it, not to mention that parking near the center was not difficult to find. Recommended B&B!
