Breakfast at Pra da Lares is an important moment where I prepare with love and care what you are about to eat with my own hands. Bread I knead and bake the bread myself, often in a wood-fired oven. I choose organic flours from local mills, mainly the Pezzini Mill in Sarnonico. For the leavening, I use my sourdough, which is much more digestible and natural than industrial yeast. Jams The fruit you find in the jams comes from the trees surrounding the house, which give us cherries, plums, apricots, peaches, apples, pears, blackberries, strawberries, red and black currants. Over the years, together with my husband, we have tried to diversify what the orchard can offer us, so there are many different varieties. You can also buy the jams I produce from me. The fruit is not treated with chemicals. Jams are available for you, just ask me for information and price list. Cakes and cookies Cakes are the most fun part for me, they are delicious and allow me to be creative. I use local flour and butter, but the most important ingredient for me is the eggs, which I collect fresh every day from my henhouse. Elderflower syrup The Pra da Lares breakfast is accompanied all year round by this syrup, which quenches your thirst in summer and, with its perfume, brings back memories of summer in winter. I pick the elderflowers from the plants in my garden and at the edge of the surrounding woods. I make it as my grandmother Carolina taught me.
