Tenuta Santa Tecla

The property manager/owner did not check with us on our stay, experience or if we needed anything. It was very basic overall, and not worth the price. Probably they weren't putting in the effort because it's not the season, or probably there's some other reason. In any case, I would not recommend this place. There are other places offering much better service at this price!

Tenuta Santa Tecla was an amazing experience and location. The estate itself is incredible as it overlooks the sea and all of the animals on the property make it a great spot for kids. The walking trails and flowers make the whole estate an amazing experience. The host is amazing and provides fantastic communication and helpful advice when you check in, not only about the property but about the general area with things to do. Overall the location is fantastic because it provides a great central spot to explore the whole east coast of Sicily. From there we were easily able to get to Taormina, Catania, Bronte, Etna, many great wineries, and Acireale. This is a truly wonderful property that appears to only be getting better with many additional renovations on the property that appear underway. The views are absolutely spectacular. Highly recommended location to stay with a family!

We had a very nice time at this farm. We were ten people and we stayed in the adjacent apartments. The pool is amazing and probably the best thing about this place. However, there are some issues that could be a real problem for others and we were lucky to not have it too bad. The apartments are joined at the top by a hole in the wall that is filled by a wardrobe. You can hear everything in the other apartment since there is no real wall there. Also we had limited cutlery. One good knife between two apartments and no chopping board. We had to ask for a chopping board and an additional kettle. Also we were five people in an apartment but there are four chairs. Not ideal. Lastly the beds are very very basic. That was ok for us, but might not be for others. I should also say that the wifi in the apartments is terrible! There is one router in one apartment, so the other one has hardly any signal and upstairs (where you sleep) there isn't any at all. So I wouldn't count on proper internet access. The main house is very nice but there is a train that runs right behind it. We were lucky we didn't stay near there. However, there is also an events center on the grounds right next to the apartments, so we had loud party music till 11 on many nights. Luckily our children didn't wake up from that. The breakfast is very basic and a bit stingy. You have to ask for many things like milk and extra food as they run out here and there. If you have a kitchen like in the apartments you do not need to waste money on breakfast. The pool is by far the best feature and is wonderful. The owners are quite nice, but although they accommodated our requests, they were not very happy about it, like when we asked for a kettle, they said we can boil in a pan. True, but why do the main houses get a kettle and one of the apartments and not the other one? Also, we were two groups. One group came early and was told the room would be ready at 3. We came after them and rang at the main gate. The first answer we got was "I told you the rooms are not ready". That is not the nicest way to greet someone, especially when it was clear that we can stay at the pool area till the rooms were ready. I should say that the cleaner was very nice and helpful and was the best staff member there. I have never been to any other place in Sicily, but I would not go here again. Maybe it is good compared to others in Sicily, but I was not impressed.

The place is amazing, especially if you love nature. The gardens and grounds are beautiful and very well kept and clean. Our hosts Marxia and Kristina were so welcoming and saw to our every need. The pool is so relaxing and the on-site parking in the shade was ideal. A place I would love to return to!

Place is beautiful, with a very nice panorama of trees and sea. The pool area was fantastic and it has a large garden with many trees, a children's playground, and a small farm with animals. The room was big enough for 2 adults and 2 children. Secure and free parking inside the villa. Breakfast was small but ok. We felt very welcomed and relaxed. We had no problems at all.

I truly enjoyed my short stay there. The only downside is that you have to go out to eat, otherwise the establishment is impeccable overall.

Beautiful haven of peace with a stunning view, flowered and well-kept gardens. A generous buffet with local products, homemade bread, and real orange juice.

Very beautiful property set in greenery, an oasis of peace ideal for spending relaxing days. Fabulous pool with a panoramic sea view. The owner is very helpful, courteous and ready to assist with any request. On arrival she provides a long list of information about places to visit nearby and recommendations for lunches and dinners of various types. Breakfast is good. The only thing Tenuta Santa Tecla lacks is a restaurant, which they will probably open soon as mentioned by the owner, and it would really be a significant plus for such a property, so as to spare guests the need to find a place to eat at lunch and dinner. One suggestion I can give is to improve the cleanliness a little.

The property is set in a beautiful park. Complete relaxation. Panoramic pool.

We will be back soon! A truly welcoming place, lots of information for visiting the area, a swim in the pool while watching the moon over the sea, a breakfast that felt like a lunch, a green oasis of peace. The photos do not do it justice; it is much more beautiful than it looks!

Beautiful structure. Externally well maintained. The garden and the pool are well kept. The owner is very kind. The only downside we found, having booked the spa suite, was the cleanliness. Absolutely poor for a structure of this kind that truly deserves it. This is constructive criticism and therefore our advice is to pay a lot of attention to cleanliness. For the rest, nothing to say, everything is impeccable!

Great location, stunning view, fabulous pool, very good breakfast with genuine and fresh products. Very nice room and the hosts' willingness to ensure a stay at maximum comfort. I will definitely return and I recommend it!

Enchanting location, with a view of the sea, and immersed in greenery. Well-kept outdoor spaces. The room was not very clean, with particular neglect in the bathroom, which was not taken care of, and with accumulated dirt. The hot tub was unusable. We only stayed for two nights, and at breakfast we always found the same slices of cake. The sandwiches were not fresh, but most likely frozen and thawed at the moment. It is truly a pity because the place is really commendable, but the accommodation is not worth the price paid.

Magnificent place with a splendid view of the sea. Spacious and clean rooms. Hosts who make you feel at home. We hope to return.

My family (my wife, our three kids, and our little dog) and I treated ourselves to a couple of days of relaxation in the heart of Sicily. The welcome at Tenuta Santa Tecla exceeded our expectations, so much so that we gave up our itinerary of visits and excursions here and there to take full advantage of the tranquility and atmosphere of the villa. We preferred to stay by the pool to admire the magnificent marine backdrop, read a book in the shade of one of the many trees that sweeten the landscape and air, and chat with Marzia, her husband, or some of the girls who took care of us as if we were family. The welcome, in the most authentic sense of the term, is certainly the pride and joy of Tenuta Santa Tecla, not to mention the beauty and tranquility of the place, the good food, and last but not least, the unexpected and interesting library that enriches the reception. Sure, we missed out on the trendy tourist sites, but we gained a couple of relaxing, fulfilling days in great company. Highly recommended, hoping to return as soon as possible.

Very beautiful and welcoming structure located in a quiet area with enchanting scenery. A place that offers rest and tranquility. The lady is very kind, helpful, and hospitable. Excellent breakfast, abundant and with zero kilometer products. Excellent cakes and jams. A destination to try if you want to stay near Acireale.

Ideal place for those who feel the need to disconnect and indulge in some relaxation. The location is in my opinion ideal because it's close to Acireale yet at a 'safe' distance from the coming and going of cars and noise in general. The host is super kind. The cleanliness is meticulous. The breakfast deserves a special mention because the homemade jams and cakes make it over the top!! I hope to come back in the future.

Together with my partner, we were looking for a place to unwind and relax, this property far exceeded our expectations. The staff is very professional and friendly, the owner is very kind and always available for any need. I highly recommend this location.
