Tenuta Carcara

We really loved our stay at Tenuta Carcara. The agriturismo was very beautiful - a charming property that was clean and provided everything we needed for our stay. We really loved the gardens and enjoyed going in the pool, even though it was a little cold in April, and our son enjoyed the ping-pong too! The hosts were welcoming and helpful and we enjoyed learning about the plants growing in the garden. It was a lovely rural location for a quiet break away and a great place to relax. We enjoyed eating in the courtyard in the sunshine. A car is necessary and it is 20 minutes or more to nearby places. There are lovely towns to visit nearby and great restaurants (Ragusa and Modica) and beaches (Punta Secca, Marina di Ragusa) and interesting archaeological sites to explore.

The property is a charming farmhouse with a lovely garden area and a new immaculate infinity pool and alfresco area. The rooms have been converted from the farm and floors are large uneven stones, so you need to wear shoes inside or it is a bit uncomfortable. I thought it added to the charm, my husband thought it was a pain. Beds were very hard and the wifi was not great for us. We did find it a little isolated especially with no breakfast and little in the way of supplies, the nearest supermarket/restaurants were 20-30 minutes away.

A dive into history with elegance and nobility! In the residence, time has stopped, we will definitely return.

Tenuta Carcara is practically an oasis of peace and serenity. Ideal for those who want to break away from the daily routine and want to relax. The structure is well cared for in every little detail, clean and the apartments are spacious and respect the style of the place. A former farmhouse immersed in the Ragusa countryside, far from the city noise. The park is fantastic, also well-kept and green, like the lawn around the pool, perfect for a relaxing swim at any time of the day. The structure is located in an optimal position, between the cities of Ragusa, Modica and Scicli. The owners are very kind, helpful and welcoming. My partner and I spent unforgettable days.
