An unforgettable experience for all Montalbano fans: falling asleep to the sound of the sea and waking up to views of the beach where the detective swims every morning. The staff were very friendly and helped make our stay truly special. We were very comfortable; it's a shame we couldn't stay longer.

Of course the main reason to come here is the location for any Montalbano fan, and it’s such a cute village too and well worth a visit. The room was fantastic, well appointed with daily service and the ghost of Montalbano all around. The only reason for not receiving full marks was that all communications with the hosts were poor. I had problems getting in and asked for assistance; later I had questions about checking out and all were completely ignored. Due to windy weather, breakfast couldn’t be had on the balcony, which meant you had to share breakfast with complete strangers at one table. I don’t share breakfast with strangers. I waited and the next day braved the balcony. The breakfast was pretty sparse too.

Lovely view from the terrace — great for watching the sunset. The only negative was parking: anyone with mobility restrictions was unable to come close due to the traffic rules. The room was nice and the hosts were very welcoming. We will probably return.

This was a wonderful two days. We are fans of the romance of Montalbano rather than the stories, so of course the property was romantic as was the town, the seashore and the Sicilian feel of the joy of life. All made so much more by Ivana and her team. Ivana is the ultimate host, helping us with the inevitable car-hire problem by sourcing a brilliant garage, as well as being friendly, chatty, informative and a lot of fun. Our stay could not have been better. If you do decide to stay, here's the information you will need about parking your car. PARKING: On the straight road going down into Punta Secca is the CONAD supermarket (at the rear there is a large car park free 24/7). Closer to Montalbano is the car park on the other side of the roundabout. Its parking meter takes coins only. Free between midnight and 8:00 a.m., it is one euro per hour. For example, put five euros in at 22:00 and your parking expires at 11:00 in the morning. This car park has a kiosk that will change notes into coins, but if arriving early have some coins ready. Driving further down the road, just a few metres further is the red light. Take the left diagonal straight road Via Paulo VI all the way to its end, follow the one-way road round left and straight on up, taking you eventually back to near the CONAD supermarket and the way north out of town. Parking in town in July and August and on weekends can be impossible, but everything is very close, so if you are lucky enough to be fit and healthy then park at both places: CONAD during the day, and the roundabout car park with CCTV at night.

Ivana and the staff are lovely, relaxed and friendly. The only issue is finding parking to drop off and pick up luggage due to the parking arrangements, but parking nearby is otherwise good.

The house and the location are everything you imagine them to be. You go to sleep and wake up to the sound of the waves, and the terrace is a prime location in the area. Breakfast and then the rest of the day, whenever you feel like it, including spectacular sunsets over the sea. Very easy access to the beach. Punta Secca is small but there are many lovely restaurants and bars by the sea, and two decent food shops. Everything is within walking distance. You can hire sunbeds and parasols from a man on the beach. The place is relaxed but lively well into the night. The hosts are very helpful. The smell of freshly warmed croissants at breakfast sets you up for the day. We did the full-day Montalbano guided tour, which is an excellent way to see some of the best sights in the area. The hosts have the details. The rooms are charming and have everything you need.

It was wonderful to stay in the house of Inspector Montalbano and relive Salvo's morning coffee on the terrace! You could not be closer to the beach if you tried and the view from Salvo's terrace was spectacular. Vanessa was a wonderful host and helped arrange a taxi and guide for us. She also put up with our basic Italian! The home made cake at breakfast was a nice touch. Our room was quite small, but had a lovely sea view. Aircon in the room worked well and was needed given the July heat. Excellent!

La Casa Di Montalbano was the perfect accommodation for a 3 night stay in May.\n\nIvana, the owner, was so helpful and friendly - arranging transfers, recommending local places for delicious lunch and dinner and organizing a Montalbano tour for us.\n\nThe terrace overlooking the sea is a real highlight and we enjoyed a delicious breakfast, coffee and juices. All served with a friendly smile.\n\n100% recommend.

As Montalbano fans, this was a dream come true. It was a pleasure to spend a few days in the house so identified with the character. The location is exceptional. The house itself is clean but basic (showers are poor and water was not warm) but all forgiven because it is what it is. Breakfast was basic continental but eaten on the famous terrace made up for it. Vanessa who managed the property was very helpful and efficient. Thank you, Vanessa!

We chose La Casa di Montalbano as we love the Television series and wanted to stay here and visit local attractions. The B&B is comfortable and the hosts, Ivana and Vanessa, are wonderfully helpful and very pleasant people. Ivana assisted us with transfers and local bus information and also made time to discuss Sicily, the Montalbano show and where to go - Scicili and Ragusa. Vanessa prepared delicious breakfast, including a lovely breakfast cake. It was a pleasure to enjoy the famous view and outside area so famous in the series. It was windy, as you would expect by the sea, but we enjoyed the beach and some of the local seafood restaurants. If you enjoy the series, then you shouldn't miss the hospitality of Ivana and Vanessa at this delightful location. Sicilian people are really friendly and made our holiday special.

Unfortunately, breakfast was not offered during the vacation period of our stay, as stated on the facility's website. The place is magnificent, and forms part of the TV legend "Comisario Montalbano", so if you are a fan, you are in for a treat. We accidentally left something in our room, but the manager was extremely helpful and efficient in arranging its return.

But also those who have never seen this series will be fascinated by this villa full of genius loci, the beautiful terraces, breathtakingly romantic sunsets, charming interior including Montalbano's living room, tasty breakfast, perfect hosts, and excellent seafood restaurants in the vicinity including the series' Enzo a Mare, long sandy beaches and baroque towns nearby like Scicli where Montalbano's office is located. Lovely spacious and bright room, with great views of the sea and 16th century tower. The bed was very comfortable and we fell asleep to the sea crashing on the rocks each night ... idyllic. Breakfast was on the famous terrace and was varied and enjoyable. The staff are lovely as are the locals and there is a good selection of excellent restaurants and bars. It is a B and B so if you are a needy traveller it might not be for you but we loved it.

The house is very dated inside, and the outside tables are falling to bits. The standard of the property is something that you would have expected about 30 years ago, so if you like that feel you will be OK. Breakfast was very basic, do not expect tablecloths on the plastic tables on the balcony nor the table inside. It is disappointing as it could have been much more charming. The view of the sea is very nice though. Very noisy rubbish collection at 7 am.

What a treat to stay in Inspector Montalbano's home! Great position in a lovely village. Naturally we are not the only fans of the series, so expect the lack of privacy. Also note that the balcony is in shade during breakfast. However, there are some great cafes and restaurants nearby and the apartment is within easy reach of the lovely baroque towns of Ragusa. Rather ordinary breakfast. Otherwise everything is fine. Very nice young man hosting.

Excellent location on the beach of Punta Secca. Accommodation is very clean, room spacious and staff providing breakfast very attentive. There is a living room and a terrace that is shared with a few other customers, and that provides for excellent views of the ocean. Beach is in its natural, traditional state without being taken over by umbrella stands.

La Casa di Montalbano was an absolutely charming little bed and breakfast! Ivana and her team—Simone and Agata—were so warm and welcoming, and extremely available for our every need. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the breakfast was delicious. We took our mom here for her 70th birthday, as she is a big Montalbano fan, and it was so fun to stay in the house and get the full Montalbano experience. There are also some amazing restaurants in Punta Secca. But that wasn't all there is! Punta Secca is very well connected to the southeast part of Sicily. We took day trips to Siracusa, Noto, Ragusa, Modica, Piazza Armerina (to see the Villa del Casale Romano), and we also managed to squeeze in a beach day at Marina di Ragusa. All in all, we had an amazing trip and would highly recommend this bed and breakfast to any lovers of Montalbano, or even just of Sicily!

The other guests we met with the same love for Montalbano. For fans of Inspector Montalbano, this is simply a dream location, and although not cheap, it's an absolutely unmissable experience. Enzo al Mare is a 4-minute stroll away (although only open for a brief period every year). Other Montalbano locations like il Castello di Donnafugata, the wonderful Scicli, and Ragusa are a 20-40 minute drive away. The place was very clean and comfortable, breakfast very good, staff very pleasant, and being able to sit freely on the famous terrace throughout our stay was great. Early booking is recommended.

The fridge is not working properly and the shower head in our room was not working properly, but neither of these things detracted from our enjoyment of our stay at La Casa di Montalbano. We had a lovely stay, enjoyed particularly the croissants at breakfast, meeting other travellers, the views, the story. Would have liked info about the local restaurants. On our first night, after no lunch, we ended up buying stuff from the local mini-supermarket but had no plates, knives, bottle openers, etc. at the house. Learnt later that the restaurants we tried to visit and were closed, actually opened at 8.30 PM!

We loved staying at The House of Montalbano overlooking the pretty beach, breakfast on the terrace was the icing on the cake. Perfect end to a 'Montalbano' sightseeing filled holiday in south east Sicily. If you're a fan of the show, check out the town hall in Scicli, where they've preserved the film set of the police station, it's well worth a visit.

As a fan of the Commissario Montalbano series, we were looking for an experience that resembles what you see on the show. This was just perfect. Too bad the lower level house was rented to other visitors and we were unable to visit it, but we did have access to all the spaces at the top level including the famous balcony portrayed in all episodes. The surrounding areas were very busy, not exactly as seen on the show. The DÉnzo restaurant a few meters away exceeded our expectations by far.

Casa Montalbano exceeded my expectations - the size of and view from 'that' terrace is fantastic, as was the excitement of being there after seeing so many Montalbano episodes! We had a non sea view room and it was a good size and the bed was comfy! The shower cubicle could do with an upgrade but that was my only negative. The air con was the best we'd come across in our two weeks touring Sicily. Sara and Ivana (the hosts) were both super friendly and mostly we had the terrace all to ourselves - it certainly was not a problem in any way sharing with other guests. Punta Secca too was a lovely little town completely off the (British!) radar although perfect for watching the holidaying Sicilians with many restaurants - although do book as soon as you arrive as they fill up fast. The sea right in front of the house is only waist deep, sheltered and with a totally sandy bottom so just lovely. I highly recommend staying here - such a treat for fans (& a great stay even if you aren't)!

We were really looking forward to staying here but I have to say it was a disappointment. There was nobody at the property to let us in when we arrived and it took over 15 minutes before anybody responded to either of the phone numbers provided. Access to the property is a problem as it is in a pedestrian zone which wasn't clear in advance. We are big Montalbano fans! It was great to be there and to recognise the house and beach from the films. However, I did expect a welcome upon our arrival, but only got a code to enter the building and we were expected to find the room on our own. In fact, I only met Ivana right at the end of our stay to settle the bill. There is no question that the bed and breakfast is run as a ‘no frills’ business. More readily available background to the house, history of the filming and area would have been very helpful, given that people visit La Casa di Montalbano because of the TV series. The breakfasts consisted of boiled eggs, cake, croissants, cheese, tea/coffee. Sara provided breakfast on some of the days we were there and was very friendly. She did give us some useful information. The setting of the B&B is stunning. We had a room called Scirocco with patio doors. These enabled us to walk directly to the terrace rather than going through the sitting room. The bedroom was a good size, and the shower room was adequate. It was nice to have a small fridge in our room so we could buy our own drinks to have on the terrace before going out. We ate delicious meals at some of the many restaurants in Punta Secca (within walking distance of the B&B). These are the restaurants at which we really enjoyed an evening meal: Scjabica Cuoco Pescatore, Sand Design, Pappappero, Rosengarten. Our evening meal at Enzo a Mare was a disappointment. On reflection we should have gone there for a small lunch just to experience where Montalbano is filmed having his meals. We visited all the places where the programmes were filmed including Scicli, where the offices are exactly as shown in the series, Via Scale in Ragusa, where Montalbano and his colleagues have discussions, and the castle at Donnafugata where Montalbano talks to a Mafia boss. The beach at Punta Secca is unspoilt by tourism and a lovely place to relax. The town has a pleasant ambience, and the Spar supermarket provides a range of basic needs including marvellous arancini and panini.

The host Sarah was very friendly and helpful. We lodged there in late May and were surprised to find half the local businesses not yet open or working at reduced hours (and no, not whining about the split shifts shops often work). The room heating/cooling worked well, though usually we enjoyed windows open. Breakfast was reasonably varied and Sarah was quite attentive to our coffee needs (preparing large cups of coffee as opposed to the typical teeny shots).

It's impossible to submit a normal review for this B&B because, as we all know, this is the house used to film Inspector Montalbano! As big fans of the series, it was a huge thrill to stay there for two nights, it was insane to sit out on the terrace and have dozens of tourists snapping away down below on the beach and the roadway. As a normal b&b it was fine, the young lady running the place was efficient and charming, but all that pales into insignificance when I realise that I sat and drank wine on the same terrace as Montalbano, and slept in the same house. Of course this justifies the price, it was a unique and unforgettable experience. And I say that to you personally, in person.

Dream come true: as fervent Montalbano fans, my friend and I were delighted to arrive in time to go and see the last day's filming activity at the house, including the Inspector himself and the Advocate. Maria who receives you and Ivana, agency, are lovely, kind people. A bonus also was the opportunity to book massages with Marisa - most thorough, calm and effective! If you're a fan of Inspector Montalbano, then you will feel like you're stepping into the TV series and it did not disappoint us at all. We arrived on a beautiful sunny day and sitting on the balcony overlooking the sea makes you feel a little bit like a celebrity. The constant sound of the sea is just fantastic, and the views over the famous lighthouse and the beach are breathtaking. The room was lovely, and breakfast was fantastic. Maria, our host, was very kind and helpful, providing information about anything we wanted to know about the property and the popularity of the TV series. It was a great experience, and we now watch the TV series of Montalbano with extra interest, now that we have sat on that famous balcony in Punta Secca (Vigata) and stayed in his house.

I have been watching the programme "Inspector Montalbano" and the scenery is so beautiful that I wanted to go there and take some photos of his house. When I found out that the actual "Montalbano" house was an exclusive B&B, I just had to stay there. Fortunately, I managed to find a room on the right day, thanks to Maria, who is a superb host. However, my overnight stay was more than that. It was a very pleasant experience thanks to Maria ensuring that her guests have everything they need to make their stay as enjoyable as possible. Furthermore, the balcony is more than just a balcony. Having your breakfast there, with the soft sound of the waves breaking, the breeze caressing your face and the beautiful view of the sea is absolutely magical. I could have stayed there all day. The experience does not end here. Maria provides you with an umbrella and chair, and you can enjoy the sandy, secluded beach with its crystal-clear blue water and swim to your heart's content. And, as I was leaving before the allocated breakfast time the following day, Maria offered to leave some breakfast for me in my room. The whole experience was fantastic and much more than I expected thanks to Maria's friendliness, efficiency, and attention to detail. Thank you very much, Maria. You made my day. Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful time at La Casa di Montalbano in Punta Secca. It is a super apartment in a wonderful location. We were met by Maria who explained everything and helped us with arrangements for a great tour of "Montalbano" locations. Thank you very much Maria for everything. As a self-catering apartment, we weren't expecting any breakfast but there were so many things left for us, coffee with an excellent coffee maker, plenty of breakfast items and two big bottles of water. It was just as beautiful as we hoped, with great cafes and restaurants just a few steps away, a lovely sandy beach and a tiny harbour with fishing boats. Excellent location beside the sea with great breakfast on the terrace in the morning. Maria was very helpful with information before and during my stay and went out of her way to make sure everything was okay with my transport arrangements (travelled by bus) to get to the property which was very reassuring for me. I was in a single room and it would benefit from air conditioning rather than the overhead fan but apart from that it was a wonderful experience in the home of Montalbano! The village is charming with a glorious beach and some nice places to eat. I hope to go back sometime.

I unfortunately had to do this trip alone although my sister is the great Montalbano fan. (She was unable to go) I was interested to see what the room was like as I was told it was a converted attic room and was delighted with the décor and spaciousness of it. Although the windows are quite high up, the room faces the sea and gives a lovely soothing sound at night. Maria was a superb host, her English is very good and she was extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it for Montalbano fans and others alike. Despite it being a very pretty small town, Punta Secca is essentially a holiday resort and therefore is very quiet out of season. Buses to nearer, livelier towns - e. g. Marina di Ragusa - are fairly regular and cheap. I spent very enjoyable couple of days there and would come back.

As a fan of Montalbano, staying here was like stepping straight into a magical episode! If you aren't a fan, it's still a gorgeous location and house, but you might get annoyed by all the tourists. Surprisingly, the pizza restaurant a few steps away is very good, both we and another couple staying at the B&B got a pizza with low expectations but it was fantastic to eat on the balcony with some tasty wine. N.B. The bar opposite lent us some wine glasses when we bought a bottle from them.

We stayed at La Casa di Montelbano for 3 nights. Maria, our hostess, was charming, accommodating, and very helpful. Shortly before our stay, my husband was diagnosed as celiac, and Maria had no problem providing a suitable and very ample breakfast for him, even going so far as to supply individual gluten-free muffins and cakes. She also supplied recommendations on some local restaurants prior to our trip. Guests were given full access to lounge, dining, and terrace areas, and deck chairs and umbrellas were supplied for use on the local beaches. Tea and coffee were available. We booked the accommodation because we are fans of the Montalbano series, but our experience has now made us fans not only of Montalbano, but also of Sicily and the lovely Sicilian people. Maria, our host, was kind, friendly, and accommodating. I think the house is overly priced due to its Montalbano connections and does not really represent good value for money. Our room was quite basic for the price we paid. I don't mind basic, but I like value for money. It was quite cold while we were there and the lounge would have been comfortable, but the only heating was a gas heater with unpleasant fumes, so we had to switch it off - we could smell the fumes upstairs in our bedroom. Since the house was full - it is generating a fair amount of money, and I think the owner should be willing to invest in a better heating system. Other things are done cheaply, e.g., stick-on towel rails in the bathroom - a really cheap makeover, and the price should reflect this. Breakfast was lovely and more than adequate.

Dear Liz, thanks for your email but let me say something important for all readers: all my rooms have air conditioning-heater and you could choose the temperature desidered, I don't know why you didn't. In the living room there is no gas heater but an electrical heater and a liquid isoparaffin stove that is very safe because it does not produce carbon monoxide but only carbon dioxide and water vapor. Nobody felt the awful fumes till their rooms, we asked to them of course after your email, because we want to be sure that all our guests have a comfortable stay and we pay attention to that. Maybe it was only the first minute when you switch it on (we will check again anyhow). I don't understand why you want to accuse the owner about the money they spend: Two years ago all air conditioners have been replaced by the latest generation inverters, your bathroom was completley new (it was an outside service bedroom till last year). I really don't understand..but thanks for your opinion.

Enjoyed spending time with others in a setting that, absent a shared interest in Montalbano, we likely wouldn't have visited. The house is comfortable and relaxing. The view (and sound of the ocean) from the large room facing the sea was exceptional. Maria was a gracious and helpful host. And although the town was empty in the off season, each night more than one restaurant with welcoming staff and excellent seafood was open to enjoy. My wife and I are glad we stayed here.

As an avid Montalbano fan, it is hard not to give this B&B the highest rating. However, if I was staying here without knowing who Montalbano was, I would still give it the same rating. Great location by the beach, drift off to sleep listening to the waves breaking on the sand. Maria is just wonderful, great breakfast, clean rooms, what more can you ask for? Also, a comfortable lounge area where the guests mingle and compare favorite episodes! Ragusa Ibla is the nearest large town and you must visit, it is superb. We loved our all too short visit and will return.

It was a delight to stay at Casa di Montalbano - we love the Inspector Montalbano TV series. Even without the Montalbano connection we would still have loved staying at the B&B as the house and location were perfect. If you have windows open, there is a lot of outside noise from people until the early hours, and when we stayed, there was music until midnight. The location is idyllic and the views from the terrace and our bedroom, we were lucky to have the room with a sea view, are unforgettable. Montalbano fans, so staying in a room with that sea/beach view couldn't get much better, but perhaps watching the filming of the final scenes in next season's episodes, with Livia and Montalbano, from the breakfast terrace, just possibly edged it! Ivana (landlady) was most helpful making sure we felt we 'owned' and fully enjoyed the facilities, (despite being surrounded by a film crew for a day), and along with her staff made us most welcome. Having access to the lounge/dining area and terrace was a real benefit which all the residents seemed to enjoy (felt like a house party at times). A really relaxing and enjoyable stay (despite the tourists). This was our 5/6th night in Sicily so we were able to relax into the atmosphere and the Sicilian ways/pace in this lovely B&B.

The main attraction of this B&B is that it is used for Inspector Montalbano filming. However, the room we had without a sea view was a bit of a jumble when we arrived. Good morning Mr John, thanks for your comment although not so good but I wish to underline something: the house opening was on 2nd may because of filming the new episodes of Montalbano Commissioner and we apologized with you if something was not in working order. It is not correct you say that it was like an hostel room. Wi-Fi is available but we found it broken the opening day and on 5th may (3rd may was sunday) it has been repaired. Our breakfast is served from 8.30 every day.

As Montalbano fans, we were looking forward to our stay at La Casa di Montalbano and we were not disappointed. The room was light and airy, and the bed very comfortable. We appreciated having the mini-fridge to keep our water (and Prosecco) in. The setting could not be better, right on the beach, and the swimming there is just wonderful - as another reviewer has noted, we enjoyed having the two beach chairs and parasol to use. Laura and her colleagues were very welcoming.

The location, position and ambience of this B&B is wonderful, right on the beach at Punta Secca (they even give you your own beach chairs to borrow) and close to good restaurants/bars and small shops. Punta Secca itself is nice and easily explored.\n\nHosts Ivana, Laura and team are very welcoming. And of course there’s the pleasure of having breakfast on “Montalbano’s balcony” and then later in the day just sitting on the balcony at sunset with a glass of wine– delightful.\n\nWe had a very comfortable and well-fitted first floor double bedroom, overlooking a small piazza with a separate bathroom/shower.\n\nBreakfast is continental style (of course) and enthusiastically served by a member of the team but is only of average quality. Each morning seemed beset with small problems (no knives one day, no butter the next, hard-boiled eggs that weren’t hard boiled, rather stale bread each day, temperamental toaster). But their home-made marmalade is lovely. But it’s more than made up by being able to eat it on “Montalbano’s balcony”.\n\nIf you aren’t a Montalbano fan, I’d suggest you’d find this a superior B&B well worth staying at with a superb position and balcony but rather expensive for the quality and breakfast you actually get. You might also find the almost constant stream of tourists looking up at you on the balcony and taking pictures and bit wearing. On the other hand you might find that attractive.\n\nIf you are a Montalbano fan, have you booked yet? You’ll love almost every moment of it.

The single room was a bit too small and the bed too uncomfortable (mattress too soft) and the location in relation to the tower was not ideal (noise until late at night and early in the morning due to the garbage collection service). They did not show the most interesting part. There should be a reception guide; for example, indicating which episodes each room corresponded to. Breakfast on the ground floor is essential. I want to emphasize that Ivanna, Simone, and Agatha made us feel at home. In my case, I had an accident on my foot in Ragusa and they did everything possible and more to help me during all the days we stayed there. For me, these days have been like family. The house is as I imagined it. The furniture in the room is very old. In the wardrobe, the hangers were old and each one different from the other. They pay little attention to details. It was noticeable that they refilled the gel and shampoo bottles. Also, we stayed for two nights and they did not replenish. We only saw the hostess on the last day when she had to come to collect. No one welcomed us even though it was before 8 pm. They don't even have a map or information about Montalbano's route. Considering this is the house, they should care more, and people would surely appreciate it. In short, it was a bit disappointing even though we were very excited to fulfill the wish of staying at La Casa di Montalbano. By the way, very expensive for what they offer. The other B&Bs we visited in various cities of Sicily were great, much cheaper, with very good breakfasts, and especially attentive hosts always helping when needed.

Siamo soliti chiedere sempre ai nostri ospiti come procede, lo abbiamo fatto anche con lei ognuno dei due giorni del vostro soggiorno e ci ha risposto che andava tutto bene. Ci ha fatto anche fatto i complimenti al momento dei saluti. Poi invece leggiamo la sua recensione e non capiamo.... ci sembra quindi corretto analizzare e rispondere affinchè non si creino dubbi per i futuri ospiti. Ci terremmo a sottolineare che l'arredo della sua camera era caratterizzato dai mobili d'epoca della famiglia proprietaria, sono antichi dei primi del '900, tipicamente siculi, che a nostro avviso raccontano la storia della casa. Controlleremo le grucce negli armadi e faremo più attenzione, grazie per l'avviso. Alcune coase ci possono sfuggire e vi ringraziamo sempre perchè le segnalazioni ci aiutano a migliorare l' attenzione verso i nostri ospiti. Shampoo e gel doccia vengono svuotati e riempiti ad ogni cambio ospite e controllati giornalmente per ciascun soggiorno, in modo tale che se si stanno eaurendo le riempiamo nuovamente. Questo per far si che si utilizzi meno plastica possibile e non ci siano sprechi inutili. In genere non ci siamo nel pomeriggio, a meno che non sia necessario un nostro intervento. Solo gli hotel hanno l'obbligo di una reception H24, ma siamo sempre reperibili e disponibili e presenti tutti i giorni dalle 8 alle 13.00. In soggiorno ci sono tante mappe e itinerari turistici, eravamo lì tutte le mattine fino all'ora di pranzo, bastava chiedere e avremmo soddisfatto la vostra richiesta evitandovi la scontentezza; ci scusiamo per la disattenzione nel caso fossero finiti e non ce ne fossimo accorti. Proprio come abbiamo fatto per la vostra colazione: non appena la prima delle 2 mattine ci avete detto che consumavate solo cibi salati, nonostante ci fossero già a colazione formaggio locale e salame locale, vi abbiamo fatto trovare le uova per la durata del vostro soggiorno. The accommodation has an exceptional location by the sea, with the added value of being the iconic Casa di Montalbano. The cleanliness is perfect, breakfast is good and the attention from Ágata very friendly. As for the manager, Mrs. Ivana, I must say she was not entirely friendly, some issues with the reservation I had to address directly through the platform as she did not respond to my requests. The same tone was set upon arrival, as I did not see the email with the entrance instructions, I messaged and Mrs. Ivana insisted that I had an email, to check in spam, finally she provided the information. I had been traveling for several days and did not have access to my email. The only thing to improve would be the behavior of the person in charge, otherwise it was a lovely stay.

The site is excellent. And from my perspective, I think I had the best room. Breakfast could be improved, as it was all sweet-based (I am diabetic). There was no hot food (except for coffee) or savory. The second night I had very noisy neighbors, who spent the night going up and down the stairs talking loudly and laughing without respecting others' sleep, but I believe this is not attributable to the B&B, as there is no one responsible at night. The manager, Maria Chiara, was very pleasant. She acted as a guide showing us the places we could visit and where to eat. Agata was also very kind. I would like to receive a receipt for my stay. I requested the B&B Card some time ago and it has not yet arrived. I try to request it again and the system tells me that my email is already registered.

Hola, Teniea el recibo listo para vosotros ya el dia que dejate el habitacion, però dejaste el B&B muy rapido y olvidaste de tomarla. De todas forma te he enviado el recibo en su email privada. Por El desayuno quisiera pedirle que entinde como bebida caliente?? Nosotros no tenemos solo caffè, sino tambien tea, leche, cafe americano, cappuccino, espresso, decafeinado, todas la bebidas. El desayuno encluye tambien pan, pomodoro, aceite y queso, que son todos salados. Disculpe si no has podidod comer lo que necesitaba claramente si sabias que tenia diabete ponia algo mas en el desayuno. Si los huespedes tiene que seguir una dieta es importante que nosotros lo sabemos asi que podemos poner en el desayuno todos los productos necessario. Te todas forma espero de encotrarnos pronto. What can I say... For a fan of Inspector Montalbano, staying in that house, even for just one week, is not living: it's dreaming! The house is in a fantastic location. You go down the stairs and you are immediately at the sea. What more is there to say! Inside the house, the living room and the iconic little terrace catapult you straight into every single episode of the famous TV series. The presence of Vanessa and Agata, although with different roles, ensures that every guest feels at ease. The cleaning is thorough. The only complaint concerns the breakfast: its selection has remained unchanged for six years now and, in my opinion, it could and certainly should be updated with new options. Considering what I said about the breakfast, the price seems too high. Apart from that, it remains a dream.

Fantastic place. When you enter the property it's like stepping into a painting. Everyone is very kind and hospitable. Only downside: you'll end up in hundreds of photos. Unfortunately being in the center means you'll have 'city' noises early in the morning (garbage collection, street cleaning, etc.), but nothing that can't be solved by closing the windows and turning on the air conditioning. Go there; you will not be disappointed.

The natural location overlooking one of the most picturesque glimpses of the sea we have known so far perfectly matched the accommodation that faithfully preserved the environments and atmospheres of the famous television series that found its filming set here. The location of the house, I think, needs no comments. Who doesn't know it? I think it's the "little house" most famous in Italy! Wonderful! The price is really more than fair, and it would be a real shame not to stay there, if a room is available. The room is spacious and well cleaned, as is the rest of the property. The breakfast is well assorted, sweet and savory, with local products and homemade cakes. Vanessa, who served us breakfast (and made the cakes) and Ivana, the manager of the property, are two wonderful people and gave us good advice on places to visit in the area. If you can, go there! We hope to be able to return.

The location is amazing. Every time I return to this house, I leave a piece of my heart. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and reasonably priced. Beautiful location facing the sea and excellent stay facilitated by the courtesy and friendliness of the staff responsible for welcoming guests. The breakfast, varied and with Sicilian sweet specialties, is very good. I would suggest replacing the tables on the terrace with round Liberty-style tables that are a bit smaller to enhance the typical style and the atmosphere of the early 1900s that can be felt in this beautiful house.

Riguardo l'arredo esterno devo dissentire, purtroppo le persone che vengono da fuori non sanno cosa significa il vento di ponente, il sale del mare e la sabbia che corrodono tutto in pochi giorni. L'unico materiale adatto è la resina dura e pesante, che non voli quando si alza il vento forte e non si arrugginisce o scolorisce in breve tempo con la forte esposizione al sole a cui è sottoposta + il resto delle intemperie. E' una barca più che una casa al mare, perchè si trova proprio sulla sabbia. Le abbiamo provate tutte negli anni...mi creda! Grazie comunque e spero di rivedervi presto!

What can I say? The three-day break ended too soon. The structure does not disappoint expectations, given the reputation from the TV series. I did not expect a great stay. The choice was linked to the fact that it was on our itinerary and to the curiosity of entering an environment known worldwide, the series of Commissioner Montalbano, personally appreciated and followed. It is good to maintain a structure linked to the environment for which it is known, but some things need to be reviewed, especially the bathroom. The structure is neglected and lives on the myth of Montalbano. The cleaning is very superficial, the windows and curtains are dirty, which gives a sense of neglect and abandonment. The acclaimed terrace, worthy of its fame for the location, furnished with dilapidated plastic tables and chairs, loses some of its charm. Moreover, one of the reasons for our stay here was precisely to enjoy breakfast on the terrace in the morning, but even the weather denied us this satisfaction with a downpour from six in the morning until our departure. The breakfast, however, was not particularly well stocked or cared for. The lady who manages the structure I saw only for a moment before leaving and she did not seem interested in the guests. She was not known. The only positive note, in line with our other experiences here in Sicily, was Simone, welcoming, kind, and helpful.

But yes, I think it is a bit overrated. There are more luxurious accommodations, with more services, at lower prices. Here you pay for Montalbano. The room is beautiful, complete, the bed linen and towels are good. There is a white dust that covers everything, I understand that it comes from the proximity of the sea, but perhaps it could be cleaned more often, especially on windows and shutters. There is a dossier with activities, which could also be more complete, or the lady could be a bit more welcoming and take advantage of the potential of the house. I stayed for one night in this structure. Suggestive place, certainly also thanks to the most famous Commissioner in Italy, but also for many other reasons. The view is stunning, magical atmosphere thanks to the sunset that provides a splendid backdrop. Good attention to the customer and careful and prudent management of the place, as it should be everywhere. I recommend the terrace early in the morning at sunrise, and perhaps a swim before going to the police station. An experience to try and very satisfying.

It's the "House of Montalbano", and just this would be enough. In reality, it's a place where the rhythms slow down, the lungs fill with sea breeze while the eyes embrace a suggestive panorama, all simply having breakfast. And then there's the courtesy and affability of the staff. As soon as you arrive and put down your luggage, you become part of the "House" too, of its slow pace, of the palpable presence of the Commissioner, of being on one of the most famous sets in the world. In the beautiful and lively square on the side of the house, at any moment you expect to see an old gray Fiat Tipo arriving. And you even seem to hear a knock at the door. It's not the first time I come here, but the sadness of having to leave this place is unchanged.

No, I'm sorry but I didn't like it. Neglected structure, they live on the myth of Montalbano, when will it fade for what reason should one choose this structure!!? Especially dirty, the much praised terrace uncared for, dirty, with a dirty recycling bin, four old and dirty tables and chairs, in the morning they don't even provide a floor sweep. The room redone in an approximate way, they don't even remake the bed, it's just covered. Not to mention the breakfast, poor, scarce, frozen or packaged products, incredibly sad. Yet in Sicily you expect something more. I say all this in view of the fact that they have an exaggerated price of over 150 euros for a small room not overlooking the sea. Positive note the welcome of Simone, good, kind and hospitable. Of course, the view is not up for discussion... but only that!

We chose the property for its connection to the famous structure La Casa di Montalbano. Beautiful room, with everything needed for a vacation stay. The highlight is definitely the terrace, cool in the morning at breakfast, spectacular in the evening at sunset. The building hosting La Casa di Montalbano is truly iconic. Having breakfast while listening to and seeing the sound of the sea is unforgettable. The rooms are modest, but for the price paid, the service could be significantly better, especially regarding breakfast. Sicilian sweets are very famous, and it's a shame they are not included in the buffet. One of the people working at the property is really rude because it seems to make distinctions among guests.

Spectacular location and the allure of the fiction meets expectations. That being said, it's a shame that with such a spectacular location and such a draw just for being Montalbano's house, there is so little care in the management and upkeep of the property. The breakfast is absolutely disappointing compared to what we've had in other, much more economical B&Bs in Sicily. The bathrooms definitely need some refreshing, everything in the B&B could be more meticulous considering the not very cheap price. The terrace tables are old and shabby. In conclusion, I'm glad I was there for the pleasure of looking out from that terrace, but I definitely wouldn't repeat the experience as the quality-to-price ratio is completely unbalanced. It's a shame, such a fantastic location should be better taken care of.

B&B with undeniable charm for being a famous place from fiction. Cleanliness of the premises and the room, equipped with a TV and a fridge. Availability and courtesy from Simone, the friendly young man who prepared breakfast for us and handled the payment. Breakfast more than sufficient with industrial products (croissants, toast, juices, yogurt, some cold cuts and cheese, coffee, cappuccino, tea). We did not have the opportunity to meet the owner, Mrs. Ivana, whose contacts were only via email and, in some cases, by phone.

Beautiful place, comfortable room, with clean and comfortable bathroom, the living room and the terrace to share with other guests. On the beach, with street parking very close by. Spectacular especially for those who love the Inspector Montalbano series, moreover Punta Secca does not offer many tourist alternatives besides the beach, but it could be a perfect stay even just passing through in a quiet place.

Beautiful experience. Check-in via email with very detailed and easy to follow instructions. Beautiful room with a window opening onto the beach. On the terrace overlooking the sea, we had a delicious breakfast with sweet products, fresh fruit, and Sicilian specialties such as ricotta and cannoli, but for those who prefer, there is also a savory breakfast. The staff is extremely kind and attentive to any guest's needs. Two fabulous days.

The location is suggestive and exciting. It's a nice idea to leave memories of the old owners like photos or books, which give a sense of intimacy and familiarity, giving the beautiful illusion that you are at home. The bedroom, I presume also from the family being from the early decades of the twentieth century, has renewed this feeling of being 'in the family'. The white and fresh sheets are comforting, consistent with the 'grandma' room. In the morning we were greeted by a fantastic girl named Sara who did everything to pamper us. Rooms and common areas are spotless thanks to the excellent Agata. However, there are definitely some things to change to justify the price per night of the stay, which is required for at least two nights. We toured all of Sicily, staying in historic buildings, paying less and getting much more. The bathroom, for example, would need to be redone. In the shower, there is no support corner for what is needed to wash, if not on the floor in a corner. The toilet paper holder is missing, so it is placed in the designated cavity that if you are not careful it falls to the floor. The metal circle around the flush button comes off with the risk of falling into the bowl every time you pull it. The waste paper basket is broken with the lid placed on the floor. A sort of half-broken and unstable plastic rack that I used to put the set of clean towels that would not have found another place. Apart from for the hands, there is no hook or something similar to hang used towels. A small wooden table to perhaps place what you wouldn't know where to put and that is needed in the bathroom is all stained and faded; moreover, with a little more care, it could have been the only nice piece of furniture in the bathroom. A small restoration and a nice glass for protection from shampoo and who knows what else and voilà, the game would be done. A bathroom like that, old and ugly, today you wouldn't even find it at the nuns' retreat. Breakfast is saved a bit by Sara's good will who seasons the food, absolutely basic, with her cheerfulness and availability. In front is the best ice cream parlor in Punta Secca, at least according to reviews, what would it take to offer, in the suggestive 'Montalbanesque' setting, a nice cannoli or a typical cup-shaped pastry from the area? With what you pay for two nights per person, maybe you could even afford a nice coffee granita without going bankrupt! It's a pity then, with a little expense and more attention to maintenance and renovation, a truly unforgettable stay could be offered, not just thanks to the famous Commissioner.

Beautiful structure that makes the most of the famous TV series, its strength. The room accommodation is comfortable, perhaps the shower box in the room assigned to us could be maintained, as it needs some improvements. The descent to the beach is very convenient, but the material for the beach service (chairs and umbrellas offered by the management of the structure) could be renewed. We expected a more frontal sea view from our room, but the terrace used as a common area and for breakfast is wonderful. The staff is very helpful and hospitable, always ready to collect and fulfill requests and any needs. For a B&B, the breakfast is good and abundant, complete with sweet and savory items. I would gladly return and highly recommend it.

Courteous, professional and helpful staff. The terrace and view are very suggestive, but they are the only reasons to choose the location. The property needs to review the worn furnishings of the rooms a bit. Many accessories are rusty, bathroom lamps have exposed wires and are without lampshades, the shower box is worn out, the bathroom was not well cleaned, and the light switches were covered with adhesive tape. There is little attention to detail. My expectations were unfortunately disappointed, especially considering the not insignificant price. The breakfast had little choice and was served on plastic placemats. In response to the manager, I reiterate the less than optimal condition of the furniture and bathroom in the room reserved for me and invite him to check personally. I would have posted the photos directly to better inform users, but the site does not allow it. When a guest pays a similar amount, it is not their job to point out the poor cleanliness. As for the breakfast, what matters is not the quantity but the quality of the products. As for the placemats, there is no "design" plastic. Best regards.

Gentile Sig.ra Daniela, accettiamo sempre i suggerimenti dei nostri ospiti ma mi spiace ma questa volta debbo rispondere perchè doveroso da parte mia e soprattutto nei confronti di tutti gli ospiti che arriveranno: di quali accessori arrugginiti parla? le lampade dei bagni sono moderni senza paralume cioè è proprio il modello così, ha presente? dove si vedono solo le lampadine ? forse per lei sono una novità ma esistono da un pò e il filo adesivo di cui parla non è altro che una sorta di cerotto di 3 cm x1 adatto al materiale elettrico che abbiamo messo per evitare che voi per sbaglio possiate spegnere l'aria condizionata. Il box doccia ha 2 anni di vita ed è in stile moderno come tutto il bagno della sua camera, se la pulizia non è stata corretta mi scuso e indagherò per l'eventuale disattenzione, anche se sarebbe bastato dirlo in sede subito anzichè aspettare ...per poi scrivere, ma si sa di questi tempi si usa così. Mi dispiace anche che non siano stati di suo gradimento la torta fatta in casa, i cornetti, i cannoli di ricotta fresca, le uova, il formaggio locale, le marmellate, gli yogurt, i cornflakes, i succhi, il latte di mandorla, la frutta fresca, i biscotti locali ecc.... La colazione viene servita su piatti e tazze in ceramica, le tovagliette di plastica dura sono di design e servono solo per coprire i tavoli in veranda, perchè la brezza del mare inumidisce subito qualsiasi tovagliato. Mi dispiace che tutti questi dettagli per lei importanti abbiamo influito negativamente sul vostro soggiorno.

Very welcoming structure that made our stay relaxing. Much is due to the kindness and courtesy of Mrs. Ivana and her staff (for empathy, without wanting to offend others, I mention Sara). Enjoying and starting the day with breakfast served on the legendary terrace of Commissioner Montalbano is an emotion that I do not describe, but that I invite you to try. Taking a swim, right under the 'House', having umbrellas and mats available, made our days more than pleasant. Many nice local spots in the surroundings, within reach of all budgets, contribute to making the stay very enjoyable. We will definitely come back.

How to ruin such a long-awaited expectation. The structure does not need to be praised for what it represents for a Montalbano lover like me, the disappointment is all for the management. It's a crime that a place like this is managed in such an approximate way. Let's start with the very approximate room cleaning. Shower box soaked in limescale, windows and sills full of dust, a sign that they are never cleaned. Not to mention the famous terrace. Two pots with dry and even smelly soil. Tables and chairs old and worn out. The breakfast? The biggest disappointment, served on the balcony with plastic tablecloths, fruit kept in the fridge who knows for how long, two hard-boiled eggs and some croissants (luckily there were those). A structure like this, as beautiful as it is for the scent of passion it exudes, deserves a completely different management.

It was our dream to spend a few days in 'La Casa di Montalbano'. The house is really beautiful and romantic. Unfortunately, we had the misfortune of encountering a large Sicilian family with two little girls. We are parents too and for this reason, sometimes we would have liked to have the chance to find a moment of peace. The girls were screaming and crying at night and during the day. Unfortunately, the adults were also shouting. This has spoiled the atmosphere a bit for us. Places like this should be protected from the animalistic screams of spoiled children. Montalbano did not have children, maybe that's why the house was calmer.

Beautiful structure but this we knew, exceptional location and this we also knew. The management of the B&B not present but the two girls working there I would say fabulous! Dated furniture although equipped with everything. A pity for the breakfast that greatly disappointed the expectations, to eat croissants and krumiri would not be worth the trip! I would have expected something much more typical and genuine! I would have thought, with some local restaurants that cook very well, to offer a take-away dinner on the splendid terrace but as long as there is a queue to book it will not be a priority to try to surprise the customer more! Overall a fabulous experience, it's a pity that the cherry on top was missing.

We lived a dream. Seeing my wife's eyes sparkle (a passionate fan of Camilleri and the TV show Inspector Montalbano) was priceless. We would like to compliment the whole staff, from the lady who manages the structure impeccably to all the girls, no one excluded. Pity about the terrible breakfast: no variety and the products are not zero km as indicated on the website (unless the supermarket around the corner is considered zero km). Come spiegatole in loco, I croissants certamente sono prodotti decongelati, come in tutti i bar e B&B ecc.., non si fanno di certo giornalmente in casa. I nostri sono prodotti e confezionati da una pasticceria di Comiso, (RG) la stessa che rifornisce tutti i bar della zona, i nostri però sono al burro e non alla margarina. I biscotti sono naturalmente venduti in un sacchetto e sono di Modica (RG); anche il pane affettato è prodotto e confezionato in prov. di Ragusa e/o di Gela (CL). Il formaggio che offriamo è della Ragusa Latte, la stessa ditta che ci fornisce il latte fresco e la ricotta con cui facciamo i cannoli. Persino le uova sono modicane. Tutto ciò si trova certamente nei supermercati locali, non penserà mica che ogni giorno si debba andare al mulino a prendere il pane o nelle masserie a prendere il latte e la ricotta, quando le stesse vengono portati nei supermercati della zona. Mi spiace non abbia gradito.

Great facility, staying in this particular house is fabulous, great view from the terrace and the room is very nice and welcoming. In the last three aspects I didn't give the maximum not because they don't deserve it but let me explain the reason: unfortunately, due to our late arrival time (she would arrive in mid-morning), we didn't meet the manager, but I gave an 8 for his availability and courtesy, a 9 for the value for money ratio because maybe for one night it seems a bit excessive even if the structure also pays for the famous name, breakfast perhaps because I would have expected a little more on the savory, sweet, and drinks. However, overall it was an exceptional stay.

The experience is obviously memorable for Montalbano enthusiasts, who do not mind the price to have breakfast and sunbathe on the famous terrace. In the room there is everything you need, very clean and spacious even though the sea view is lateral (Libeccio). The common spaces are well organized. The management team is very efficient and caring. The breakfast is very well taken care of, do not expect a buffet from a large hotel, but everything is there; Sara is very kind and makes you feel at home. The Casa di Montalbano is famous and the pilgrimage of the curious is constant, which can be disturbing. A suggestion: since we were advised not to drink tap water, the small bottles should be replaced every day (not just the first day). No big deal, there is a fridge and we bought some bottles.

L'acqua dei rubinetti è la stessa che si utilizza in tutte le case della zona, è assolutamente potabile (non so che le abbia detto il contrario), risulta solo un pò pesante da bere preferendo un'acqua da bere più leggera come la minerale. In ogni camera, tutti gli ospiti che arrivano trovano una bottiglietta d'acqua minerale naturale a testa, come nostro omaggio di benvenuto, in modo tale che se dovessero arrivare tardi la sera e dovessero trovare i bar e supermercati chiusi, potranno servirsene. I would like to make just three points: lack of a wastepaper basket in the room, a television of mini size (almost like a computer screen), now in 2023 it is necessary to have at least a 32-inch TV in all rooms, and the top memory foam mattresses are a bit uncomfortable. \nFor the rest, a very beautiful location.

Being on 'that' terrace is truly an exciting experience. The terrace where breakfast is served and from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view, the terrace from which to watch the sun become a ball of fire and see a coming and going of people taking photos of a house and a square known and loved. Being guests in the house of Montalbano was a dream come true and lived up to every rosy expectation.

We were skeptical because we were told it wouldn't meet our expectations, however we were thrilled both by the location and the truly charming house. The attic room, besides being cute, has a little balcony overlooking the sea, from which you can enjoy spectacular sunsets and sunrises. It's a sleep rocked by the sea waves.

What can I say, fulfilling my wife's dream, a devoted fan of Commissioner Montalbano, was the most beautiful thing about this vacation. However, there are some shortcomings:\n1) Is it possible that a structure like this cannot have permits to reach the B&B by car, at least for loading and unloading?\n2) A safe in the rooms;\n3) But a gadget, even a simple personalized magnet from the structure, cost so much? Sincere appreciation to Maria and those who prepared the unique and delicious jams.

Staying at the House of Montalbano and even seeing some scenes of the TV series was evocative. Maria is very kind and attentive. The only downside is the cleanliness of the room, which was definitely poor. On the other hand, the towel change was daily and after 3 days they also changed the sheets. The evening was a bit noisy due to the curious. Still, I recommend it for a few days.

Regardless of being made famous by TV series, the structure is perfect, or perhaps it was chosen for this reason. Great view, extremely friendly welcome, impeccable cleanliness, perfect services, excellent restaurants a stone's throw away, tourist destinations of great interest reachable quickly by car (practically indispensable).

Stayed here for our father's surprise birthday, a lover like the whole family of Camilleri and Montalbano. Everything is as we had imagined, dream location by the sea, magic of the landscape, excellent restaurants around. From there you can easily reach places to visit absolutely such as Noto, Ragusa, Modica, Marzamemi, etc.\nWe will definitely come back.\n\nThanks to Camilleri for making us want to discover this paradise in person.

Splendid location, warm welcome, the ground floor apartment is spacious but with slightly outdated and a bit shabby furnishings. Kitchen fairly well equipped. Beautiful terrace on the beach with sunset view. Upstairs, the B&B is a whole different story, really beautiful, seen quickly, unfortunately requested and not available on that date.

Enchanting location of the property, dream terrace, spacious rooms furnished with furniture not up to expectations (I'm referring to the three rooms where we stayed, especially the attic, spacious, furnished with poorly maintained Ikea furniture), sufficient breakfast, but variety and quality not up to the cost, coldness and harshness upon arrival with Mrs. Ivana for the unprepared third bed, resolved with an additional cost. What saddened me the most is the high demand and popularity of the property (the most sought-after house in Italy, as stated by the lady!), one should not look any further! The customer shouldn't always be "right", especially if the problem was real.

De Francisci, la sua recensione e le parole nei miei riguardi mi lasciano alquanto basita, non perché il suo giudizio sia negativo (ognuno è libero di giudicare secondo i propri gusti) ma perché così scrivendo lei praticamente mi ha mentito e ha mentito davanti a tutti. La mia Signora ha dimenticato a prepararle il terzo letto, è vero, posso scusarmi per l'ennesima volta per questo, così come ho fatto al suo arrivo e l'indomani e al vostro check out ancora, ma al posto del terzo letto le ho praticamente regalato una terza camera con bagno privato come camera singola, piccola ma confortevole per una singola persona. Le ho chiesto solo 20 euro in più per le spese ma detraendo pure il supplemento terzo letto dalla sua matrimoniale. A me è sembrato che avesse gradito, altrimenti l'indomani non avrebbe chiesto di restare nella nuova sistemazione da me proposta. Non capisco quindi questo "voltagabbana". I was fortunate to stay for one night with my wife at La Casa di Montalbano. It was a gift for my seventieth birthday. Despite the inclement weather, due to a very strong sirocco wind, the emotion of sleeping in the house and having breakfast on Montalbano's little terrace was intense and for a lover of the Inspector Montalbano series like myself, it was the best.

I spent 3 days with my wife in this charming property. The seaside village itself doesn't offer much, but it's highly recommended for those seeking relaxation. The B&B managers are super helpful in meeting their guests' requests and finding solutions to make the stay truly unique. La Casa di Montalbano has become a sort of shrine, with tours organized from all over the world to take a photo in front of the famous terrace overlooking the sea. However, this does not affect the tranquility of the stay. The room we were given was spacious, clean, and equipped with all the comforts (air conditioning, bathroom with all the necessary amenities, beach chairs and umbrella). The beach towel rental service is also available. Breakfast is served in the common lounge and can also be enjoyed on the terrace. There is a wide selection of pastries, drinks, and fruit, with the possibility of making a toast.

Courtesy and availability of the people managing La Casa di Montalbano, combined with the appeal of the Bed and Breakfast, the location of the TV series "Inspector Montalbano", made the stay unforgettable. The only downside: having had the attic, the only room available that weekend. The rooms of the other guests glimpsed were much more detailed.

Great location, living room and terrace that seem to be on the set of The House of Montalbano! You expect the commissioner to come in at any moment. The two rooms I saw could improve, especially the bathrooms (very poor faucets and shower at least in ours). Maria is very kind and deserves a full 10. Let's say that in the end the pros outweigh the cons and I would leave again right away.

We had a very good time. The Bed and Breakfast is very nice, comfortable, and well-organized (we could have the keys even though we arrived late at night). Obviously the strong point is the location and the fact that it is the "house of Montalbano". So I would highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast for fans of the commissioner, while for others it may not be particularly interesting. A curiosity: when we went, all the other guests were English.

My family and I stayed overnight on the 20th and 21st of August 2015, being avid Montalbano viewers we were particularly excited to be right in the commissioner's house. We had a great time, enjoyed unique breakfasts on the legendary terrace and above all for the availability, courtesy and kindness of Mrs. Maria who made the stay even more serene and pleasant, not to mention that the B&B is perfect, very clean, organized and with a great breakfast, in short, truly nothing is missing. By the sea in an enchanting location, we fell asleep to the sound of the waves breaking, priceless. The B&B rides on the fame of 'Il Commissario Montalbano', but it doesn't keep up. The room has dated furniture (low-quality modernist pieces), the bathroom dates back to the '70s and seems to have been little renovated since then. The light in the bathroom doesn't work ("but the one on the mirror works, right?" said by the B&B manager). We had to ask to have the non-functioning mini-fridge replaced. Honestly, for 160 euros per night, I believe I can expect everything to be perfect.

Cara Signora, non avevamo dubbi sin dal momento del suo arrivo che avrebbe avuto da ridire su ogni singola cosa: mi ha subito telefonato perché la chiave era sbagliata e invece ne provava solo una su due (una della porta di ingresso e l'altra della sua camera, mah!), non trovando soddisfazione mi ha subito contestato che aveva prenotato una camera con vista mare e invece la finestra che aveva aperto dava sulla strada (non aveva ancora neanche aperto la seconda finestra con vista spettacolare sul mare) ma già si lamentava. Il frigo l'indomani si è rotto (come tutte le cose esistenti al mondo) e dopo 10 minuti di orologio ne aveva uno tutto nuovo in camera. Raccontare il resto direi che è superfluo.

I stayed at this property which is too limited to define as beautiful, with my daughter for three days from July 19 to 22, 2015. We immediately felt immersed in the magic of the place: in the morning, at breakfast, on the fantastic terrace where Montalbano dines in the fiction, it seemed to see him sitting at the table next to ours so much we were captivated by the magic of the place. The whole village is very delightful: a small fishing village made a bit more lively by the coming and going of tourists attracted by this magical house. Thank you again for the fantastic adventure you made us live. I forgot: beautiful sea. We will definitely come back.

A true slice of Sicilian life by the sea, a well-kept small town important for fans of the Inspector Montalbano series. Thanks to the managers for the excellent idea of welcoming tourists to this house and for the attentive and friendly availability they offer to their guests, and we also thank the owners. You feel at home but with a fantastic view. The comings and goings of Montalbano fans made the stay more fun. Who knows how many photos we ended up in while sipping coffee on the terrace! But the view, regardless of the fiction, made this holiday memorable.

The location is really great, on the small square and by the sea, allows you to move around easily on foot, a shame about the siege of Montalbano fans that prevents any privacy. I stayed with my wife. Like many other guests, we are fans of the lucky television series. We felt really good, the staff was friendly and willing to listen to our needs. The directions we found to reach you were excellent, and the location was great for exploring the beautiful area. We are sure we will return.

Welcoming structure in a truly exceptional context. The only downside, not dependent on the structure, is the continuous flow of curious people taking pictures of La Casa di Montalbano. The staff is very kind and shows maximum availability towards guests.

I stayed there with my wife Antonella (who is a huge fan of the TV series and, in general, of Camilleri's novels) on the occasion of our 30th wedding anniversary. We spent two beautiful days. Everything was as presented on the website, but with the magic of colors and the taste of the sea air added. There are many places to visit in the surroundings, but the Donnafugata castle-house is truly a journey into the memory of the Sicilian bourgeois aristocratic Belle Époque. Do not miss it. A cordial greeting to the staff who did everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible, and so it was. For those who love the TV series, it is a must to see the filming locations in person. We will certainly return.

Overall, it is a positive review. There are two things I did not like: the breakfast was poor and the fact that I had to leave the room in less than 24 hours, checked in at 4:00 PM and checked out the next morning at 10:00 AM.

Signora Pavone, la camera avrebbe dovuta essere rilasciata entro le 10.30, come del resto in tutte le strutture alberghiere ed extra-alberghiere, ciò nonostante io vi avevo comunque messo a disposizione un ulteriore bagno e il soggiorno per consentirvi di rimanere quanto volevate nel caso aveste voluto fare il bagno a mare o consumare un pasto pronto in casa portandolo da fuori. Lei poi con la sua amica ha deciso comunque di andare via lasciandomi le chiavi della stanza alle 11.30 Ma mi creda è del tutto normale che si lasci la camera dopo la colazione, la camera era pronta dalle 12.00 del giorno prima, non è colpa mia se è arrivata solo alle 16.00 Mi dispiace invece molto che giudichi una colazione scarsa quella servita giornalmente e composta di: cornetti caldi al burro, flauti caldi alla crema, pane a fette, pancarrè, cornflakes, biscotti modicani, yogurt vari gusti, 3 marmellate diverse, burro, miele, succo d'arancia e succo d'ananas, frutta fresca di stagione, caffè, the, cappuccino. Avrei gradito che specificasse cosa avrebbe voluto trovare oltre questo, forse il salato ma non è nella nostra tradizione mediterranea.

I understand Montalbano's choice, splendid house on the beach with a unique terrace for beautiful summer evenings. The sunset, the clear starry sky (and a bottle of wine) made it complete. A few good restaurants nearby and with Maria as host, little can go wrong. Many Thanks Ton and Marjo.

I stayed at this place at the end of May 2025. Beautiful view of the water. Fun to rent the "Montalbano" house. Excellent room. You rent the place for the terrace which is fantastic, but of course also very exposed to the wind. You can skip breakfast. Excellent restaurants nearby.
