Everything was amazing. The host was absolutely wonderful and accommodating. She knew we were tired from our journey and allowed us to check in early to rest. The view is also amazing and my favorite parts were the hammock and the jacuzzi. The breakfast was absolutely amazing and even included an extra dessert at the end. The only things of note were that the door to our room was rather old and hard to open and that the rocks in the pool were a bit slippery and sharp. I had a small wound on my foot from when I tried to swim in the pool, but mostly that was my own carelessness. Overall the stay was amazing. I would definitely come back.

The Jasmine House is fantastic.

The mother-daughter team that runs the B&B is so sweet and welcoming. The garden pool and jacuzzi are great for relaxing after touring. The breakfasts were the best of our trip. The warm ricotta every morning was delicious. The location is right around the corner from the cathedral, and parking was easily found a few blocks away.

Little paradise in Ragusa Ibla! What a wonderful B&B! I stayed in a lovely room (Peppino - all the rooms have names! - so cute!!) with a balcony overlooking the baroque city and hillside. This room was clean, spacious, comfortable and even had a high-tech toilet (Japanese tech)!! The property is centrally located with less than a 5-minute walk to the city center and the beautiful duomo cathedral, with plenty of choices for restaurants. Giovanna is a most wonderful host, she suggested the best restaurants and gives great advice for places to go and what to see. She and her lovely assistant, Lisa (hope I got the name right?) are so very caring and want to make sure that the guests are very well taken care of. You can tell that their heart and love is in it! Breakfast was great with many homemade and local treats and a lovely “surprise dessert” - something different every morning. You are sitting in the beautiful little garden with a great hillside view. Oh, what a wonderful retreat the garden is! It features a lovely small shallow garden jetted pool (saltwater pool) you can lounge in as well as a spa - which I have not tried out. You will find inviting and comfortable porch furniture and sun beds as well as two hammocks next to the pool and spa. There was also a self-service bar with soft drinks, beer, wine, etc. available at the garden. I so very much enjoyed coming back from exploring gorgeous Ragusa Ibla in 86 to 88 degrees heat and relaxing and cooling down at this wonderful pool and peaceful garden! Be prepared for a lot of steps and uphill walking discovering this wonderful baroque town, but it is so very much worth it! I could go on and on about this lovely place Casa del Gelsomino B&B in Ragusa Ibla! Come and experience it! I did not have a car but used taxi or train to travel in Sicily. I took the train to get to this gem of a B&B, Giovanna arranged for a taxi to pick me up from the station. And when it was time to go to my next destination in Sicily - wonderful caring Giovanna and Lisa offered to take me to the train station!! - she had to go to town that day and just so very kindly offered to drop me off! How can you top this? This truly is a small little piece of paradise! Thank you for this unforgettable experience! I hope to return sometime soon! 🥰

We had a wonderful stay at Casa del Gelsomino. Close to everything in Ragusa Ibla but absolutely quiet. We got the best breakfast on our trip around Sicily. Homemade jams, fresh ricotta, fresh orange juice, many other things and every day different local products with an explanation by the lovely host. All this in the beautiful garden with a spectacular view!

We liked the charm of the place, the very detailed arrangements, the position of the building and the view of the garden, the involvement of the host in solving problems. It is better to have a small car, driving and parking there could be challenging, but this is, Old City.

Our stay here was perfect! The room was small, but very clean. The grounds of this place are really spectacular! The breakfast area was so relaxing, and the pool and hot tub were phenomenal. We spent an entire afternoon just relaxing in the pool and hot tub. Breakfast was amazing! The fresh-made ricotta served with honey was wonderful. We had an amazing dinner at Duomo (Michelin starred restaurant) and would highly recommend. It is pricey, but well worth it! Be careful when driving. Our GPS sent us right through the main town square and ZTL zone. We are expecting a ticket by mail. There is a way to go around, but we did not know it at the time. I would highly recommend staying here. We loved it!

This is a hidden gem! The location is excellent. It is very clean and updated. The property manager is delightful, extremely helpful and kind. Our room was comfortable and had all we needed. The property is darling. There is a large garden in the back that is loaded with jasmine vines, citrus trees, a pool, beautiful fountain, hot tub, hammocks, seating area, bar.... everything! It overlooks the hills and is incredibly charming. I can't recommend this property more highly.

The best breakfast of any during a two-week vacation in Sicily. We will remember the warm ricotta for a long time. Served in the lovely garden by Lisa (owner's daughter) who we really enjoyed talking to and hearing about her life in Ragusa.

Amazing property.

What the room lacked was more than made up for by our wonderful hosts Jane and daughter Lisa. The terrace and outside area was sublime and the breakfasts were the best we enjoyed in Italy. We would definitely return here when next in Sicily.

It is a fantastic place: the garden, the room, every single corner in the structure is made with a sense of beauty and harmony. The atmosphere is homely, everything you need to feel comfortable is available. Abundant breakfast with local products, served elegantly with a smile and warm, friendly attitude by Lisa and her mother. The B&B is located only a few steps from the center of Ragusa. We were provided with a map with very clear instructions for parking, something very important. Highly recommended.

This B&B is fantastic! The location is perfect for exploring Ragusa Ibla, as everything is within a 15 minute walk. The property itself is very clean, and the rooms are very nice, but what sets it apart is the outdoor areas, as well as the hosts themselves. It was a real pleasure to have breakfast every morning in the garden and chat with the hosts, who were so friendly and accommodating. The food was among the best we have had in a B&B. I would stay here again without hesitation.

This was my second stay at Casa Del Gelsomino and it lived up to my very high expectations. Giovanna and her daughter Lisa are welcoming and very hospitable, the pool and breakfast and relaxing area are superb, the breakfast outstanding, these women really care about their guests and they know their food! As an elderly woman I enjoyed the short easy walk to the centre each day, and the proximity to the main sights and good restaurants. I thoroughly recommend Casa Del Gelsomino.

The location of La Casa del Gelsomino was fantastic, as it was just a short walk from the square and center of Ibla Ragusa. The hosts were very warm and welcoming. The breakfast was outstanding.

La Casa del Gelsomino is a beautiful Bed and Breakfast in the heart of Ragusa Ilba. Giovanna and her daughter Lisa were so gracious. They helped with directions and parking. They also made wonderful suggestions for a special tour and restaurant ideas. Above all, the breakfasts were amazing. They even accommodated my wife's gluten allergy. Highly recommended.

We chose this B&B for its central location in Ragusa Ilba, which is a 3-minute walk to the center square and its outdoor jacuzzi and spa pool. Giovanna took care of us every morning, where an excellent breakfast is served overlooking the spectacular views over the valley. Be prepared for plenty of walking and steps but well worth it. Hopefully we will get to return here. Amazing stay.

My family and I had the most wonderful stay here, I could not recommend enough, fabulous, 5 stars. Every aspect of our stay was effortless, comfortable, relaxing and fun! We used the plunge pool and jacuzzi daily, what a lovely experience looking out over the breathtaking views of the valley. Our trip was not long enough and would definitely return! Giovana was our main hostess and was wonderful... so accommodating and attentive, the continental breakfast had an extra surprise course every morning, a lovely touch! What a wonderful stay... you will not regret booking here. 3 mins walk from the Duomo and square, 15 min walk from the bus station. It is a hilltop village so be prepared for steep hills and steps but you take in the sights and scenery while strolling through picturesque streets. You will enjoy immensely.

Very comfortable and clean. Host was exceptional, as were the breakfasts. Bedroom was a generous size, with nice en suite (only slight downside was the water temperature and pressure of the shower) however, the beautiful gardens/view, amazing breakfasts and ambiance of the whole place more than made up for that. It was a real pleasure to stay here.

Quirky Bed and Breakfast in terms of layout, but an outstanding place to stay. Hostess puts on an excellent breakfast. Like many of the more interesting Bed and Breakfasts in Sicily, parking is a challenge. Suggest just plan on parking at the top of the hill in a fair-sized lot, rather than on the street.

The hot tub was nice. Breakfast was great! Hydro pool is suited to summer weather.

From the booking stage to staying at the property it was a pleasure dealing with both sisters Carmela and Giovanna. Breakfast was always the highlight of each day to see what surprises Giovanna gave us, she is a true gem. My only complaint which I forgot to mention when I was there are the mosquitos around the pool area. Not sure how you would tackle them as they love water…. We missed out using the good relaxing facilities.

If I could give this Bed and Breakfast more than a 10, I would do so. Giovanna and her staff are very nice. The breakfast is abundant in delicious food, typical of the area. There is a beautiful garden where breakfast is served, overlooking the gorgeous view of Ragusa. There is a hot tub and also a soaking pool on the lower patio. It's a short walk to the square in the old town. Loved it and we will return.

The staff of La Casa del Gelsomino was extremely service minded, helpful and pleasant. They stood out to make our 4 days stay such a pleasant experience. And with such a location just 5 min. from the main Plaza of Ragusa, we could not have asked for more... . We can highly recommend this B&B.

Our stay at Casa del Gelsomino could not have been better! I would 100% recommend: not only will you be welcomed in the warmest manner, you will have an incredible garden at your disposal (with a very appreciated pool in the hot summer days of Sicily), and the breakfast is something I have never experienced in my previous stays in B&Bs... so delicious! I will most definitely come again.

We left with a gift from Giovanna of dried Oregano - wonderful. A very charming place, walking distance to all the beautiful places in Ragusa Ilba. Lots of places to eat and shop. Very narrow roads, so be careful if you are arriving by car.

This property is in a great location right in the center of Ragusa Ibla, just a two-minute walk from the Cathedral of San Giorgio. Giovanna was the most wonderful host we had the pleasure of knowing during our 21 days in Sicily. La Casa del Gelsomino is an expression of her kindness, love, care, and eye for quality. The breakfast she prepared each morning was extraordinary! The garden is exceptional, with the most lovely, unique soaking pool and comfortable sitting areas. Just marvelous to stay here.

Great experience! The bed and breakfast is in a quiet area and close to the center. It is possible to move comfortably on foot. The rooms are comfortable and welcoming, not very spacious but equipped with all comforts: heating, hairdryer, flat screen television and Netflix subscription. The strong point is certainly the garden with hot tub and hot tub pool, where it is possible to enjoy the excellent breakfast prepared ad hoc by the owner, with background music and a spectacular view. A true corner of paradise.

An extremely well-kept structure, in terms of furniture (both the room and the external common areas) and service. Very quiet accommodation. Superb breakfast. Precise instructions for arriving at the structure and recommendations for parking, the only weak point of the accommodation. However, we are in the historic center of a town that is a symbol of Sicilian Baroque. One piece of advice: avoid arriving too late in the afternoon, and worse in the late evening, if arriving by car.

Here it feels like home. Giovanna, the very nice hostess, together with her daughter, has pampered us throughout our stay, also providing us with very valuable advice. Poetic location, breakfast taken care of with a taste of love. We hope to return soon.

We stayed for two days and I can say that it is a place suitable for relaxation. Mrs. Giovanna and her daughter Lisa (owners of the property) are kind and welcoming, superb breakfast, a place I recommend to everyone even for a weekend.

It was tiring to find you, but it was worth it. Garden with fantastic relaxing pool. Sublime breakfast with super friendly managers. Thank you for everything, see you next time.

Beautiful garden with two terraces, where you can immerse yourself in the waters of the natural pool or the whirlpool, while enjoying a suggestive panorama of the Ragusa Ibla valley in absolute relaxation. Abundant and varied breakfast, also with typical local products up to the final touch of a delicious pistachio cake prepared by the owner, who has been very kind and helpful. We were truly enthusiastic.

The welcome was excellent! The first contact is a message in which the owner explains all the parking instructions. Once arrived on the spot and crossed the door, one is pervaded by a sense of tranquillity. This is the perfect place for those who want to take a few days off. The location is great, as it is right behind the central square. To finish, breakfast is more than just breakfast, it can be considered a gastronomic journey. Fresh products are served with an excellent explanation by the owner. Thank you very much, madam, for the excellent welcome! We felt at home!

The structure is located in the heart of Ragusa, with a beautiful internal garden overlooking the valley, equipped with a whirlpool tub and a very unique pool/hydro. The room was a bit small but clean and comfortable. The lady was very kind. We couldn't have breakfast because our flight was moved up last minute, but upon request she prepared an aperitif in the garden.

The stay was truly perfect! The structure is very beautiful and well-kept, in a great location, with a beautiful view of Ragusa Ibla. The garden, the natural swimming pool, and the whirlpool are an oasis of relaxation. Nothing to say, except that we will definitely come back.

Excellent Bed and Breakfast with a very kind landlady and exceptional breakfast, both for the delicious savory and sweet treats and for the setting of the breakfast area. The Bed and Breakfast is located in a restricted traffic area and you can park in a square reachable uphill, but we didn't have any problems (except for a "navigator" in love with narrow streets) since the restricted traffic area was not active. Definitely worth going back for the splendid view from the rooms.

Beyond the impeccable organization, the place is truly enchanting, a fragrant and private garden hidden in the heart of Ragusa Ibla, equipped with every comfort: stone bathtub, with hydromassage and hammocks to relax on, heated Jacuzzi tub, patio for breakfast, with a breathtaking panoramic view. \nMy compliments to Mrs. Giovanna for the experience she guided us through. \nThe breakfast is a sensory journey: local cold cuts and cheeses, 'pane cunzato' and warm ricotta to accompany with honey, which arrives every morning from a local farm. \nAnd what about the pistachio cream made by Giovanna?\nTangerine, mulberry, fig jams, fresh fruit, juices, croissants, hot drinks, etc. \nafter all this goodness, a surprise dessert is served, different every day, \nWe tried the small cassata with ricotta and chocolate on a shortcrust pastry base and this morning, a spectacular coffee granita, with cream, accompanied by the classic brioche. \nMany thanks for the hospitality!\nTry it to believe it!

We had a good time, the place is quiet and private, and very well-kept. A place to recommend, we will return if possible.

Spectacular structure, photos do not do justice to a truly magical place. To experience! Attention and courtesy are top priorities in this enchanting property. Pool with whirlpool in the middle of greenery and Jacuzzi, they are splendid! Breakfast a sensory awakening, rich, good, and special!

Beyond expectations! I rated 10 all aspects related to the structure, location, cleanliness, etc. But for breakfast I would have given 100! Sublime, fresh products every morning, from warm ricotta to pistachio cream and homemade sweets. Super super super! The pool is a true oasis of relaxation. In the city center, even more appreciated. Photos do not fully capture how fantastic it is. Exceptional location, in the historic center of Ibla. The only downside is that you can't park the car in front of the property but it has to be left 150/200 meters further up.

We returned to this bed and breakfast after having been there a few years ago and it was even more beautiful! The relaxation in the whirlpool and natural pool, the view, and above all the welcoming and tasty breakfast prepared by Giovanna (with the daily pastry surprise!) always leaves a mark and the desire to return to enjoy this well-being again and to revisit a city that enchants us.

It's the second time I stay at La Casa del Gelsomino and I have always been very satisfied. The place is very welcoming, with an outdoor garden where you can relax. One of the strong points is the management, Giovanna was very kind, helpful, but above all smiling. The breakfast is unparalleled, with fresh local products and excellent quality, as well as very abundant. I will definitely come back.
