Our B&B is placed by the sea at Catania art city, in an area of great archaeological and architectural merit, in a quiet, panoramic setting, in the old city centre nearby Duomo. "Amenano Bed & Breakfast" is a prestigious home where the echoes of times past linger in sounds, scents and emotions, design with meticulous attention to detail, a residence with unique, original style, a building of the past where the magic of history blends with modern amenities.

Our location and the surrounding area offer our guests a chance to for shopping, enjoy local craft products, taste the typical local products thanks to the food and wine tours, catch cultural events and exhibitions.
Close by our guests will find several monuments and famous places, sports centres and gyms for keeping fit, ski slopes and carousels for all winter sports. Remember that just only 180 m away there is the 'Cattedrale di Sant'Agata'. Any football fans can catch their team playing at nearby stadium 'Stadio Angelo Massimino di Catania'.

Open from about 6. 30am you can go for breakfast at any time, with no time limits, presenting our ticket, which will be delivered to you at check in.

The apartment is in a very good and central area, not far from the Main square and the main shopping street. It is nicely furnished and functional. The people who took care of the check-in were very nice and helpful as to how to get to the location from the airport and gave us some recommendations for restaurants, etc. However, what we did not appreciate was that we were not given the apartment we had booked, which would have been more spacious (featuring two double beds and a single bed, accommodating 5 people) instead of the one they gave us (which featured only one double bed upstairs and a sofa bed downstairs). That was quite disappointing. Also, we found it a bit frustrating that we were not allowed to leave our luggage in the hall at check-out, as we had a flight in the afternoon. These are surely some things that can be improved to make guests happier.

Exactly as shown in the photos. Only 2 minutes from Duomo square, this apartment is in an older building but completely and thoughtfully updated to the highest and most modern standards. I especially appreciated the thoughtful touches, like water and fresh fruit waiting for you on arrival, plus coffee and a coffee pot for you to make your 1st espresso of the day. Also, daily housekeeping, which is becoming a rare event with hotels. Annalisa was very kind and helpful and made a special effort to show up ahead of time when I requested a slightly early check-in. You have all the advantages and disadvantages of being right in the center. The modern remodel includes a second set of heavy doors/windows to eliminate the evening noise, but if you are a very light sleeper, you might want to bring some earplugs for sleeping. Also, as this is an older building, the apartment is on the 3rd (American) floor (2nd for everyone else), and there is no elevator/lift. Just FYI. All in all, an optimal experience. I would be happy to stay here again and would recommend it to friends/family.

Wonderful and charming property with a great location in the heart of Catania. Our host Carmelo was very informative and was there waiting for us at check-in :) the room was very charming and had most of what we needed to cook meals. We didn't have breakfast but it sounded very nice. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

It is not such a good solution that the key is in one and if someone stays in the room there is no electricity in the room if the other person takes the key.

Great place to stay right in city centre. Carmelo was an excellent host and most helpful, enjoyed the café breakfast experience, although choice was limited. Would recommend to friends.

The Amenano is in a beautiful heritage building right in the historic center of Catania. Communication with Carmello (host) was excellent. He was very helpful in accommodating a very late check-in. I only wish we had had more time in the area to enjoy the space. I can highly recommend this B&B!

The rooms are quite spacious and airy. This property is located on the second floor, there is no lift. The manager is unable to give you a hand with the luggage as he has a back problem. Book it only if you're travelling light and happy to climb the 2 flight of stairs. Breakfast consists of juice, coffee and croissant.

The apartment is located in the center of Catania. Despite being an area with bars and restaurants, the apartment is very well soundproofed, quiet and we slept wonderfully. Fully equipped apartment, with air conditioning, complete kitchenette and bedroom in the loft. Exquisite treatment from the hosts who provided us with every kind of information and advice to explore the city, in addition to welcoming us with a basket of fruit and complimentary water.

Excellent location in the heart of the city, very close to Piazza Duomo and convenient to Borsellino parking (at a charge with very affordable rates). Very friendly welcome and provision of basic necessities such as coffee and sugar, including a welcome fruit basket. Highly recommended. Until next time.

Our stay at this wonderful property was perfect! Large, clean and completely soundproof room. Very comfortable bed and strategic location for visiting the city and getting around independently. However, what makes this B&B a true gem is the management of Annalisa and Diego...two special people. We received information and messages even before our arrival in Catania. Good structure in the center of Catania, Carmelo very kind in everything, the cleaning lady likewise, the room is spacious while the bathroom is quite small (especially the shower), in any case the structure is absolutely recommended.

For those who wish to stay in Catania, I highly recommend staying in these charming rooms. Great location, easily accessible from the municipal parking lot and in the heart of the historic center. Excellent breakfast at Prestipino. Room well soundproofed from the outside, a bit less from the other internal rooms. Carmelo was very welcoming and kind. Recommended.

Comfortable. A stone's throw from Piazza Duomo. Very well structured, spacious rooms. Bathroom to be modernized. Ms. Ada very kind, helpful, friendly. The only flaw was the breakfast. I don't know if it was because of the presence of the Feast of St. Agata, but the bar service was not managed very well. To be revised. In general, highly recommended place!

I can only give compliments: the property is in a strategic position, very close to all the most important points of interest in the city; well maintained following an interesting renovation; furnished and complete with everything necessary (with double fixtures that guarantee excellent soundproofing with the outside, heat pump, hairdryer...); managed impeccably by Carmelo, available beyond what one might expect. Bathroom larger than standard, daily cleaning done by an equally friendly person. We didn't have breakfast included in the price, but we still had it in the same place where the manager directs his guests who have breakfast included: excellent.

The Amenano B&B & Apartments was a great find! Right in the center of Catania, behind the university just a few steps from via Etnea. Very large room in a historic building with all the comforts and well insulated from the noise of the nearby establishments. Carmelo, the owner, very attentive to your needs and very helpful with various suggestions (even helping you with your luggage, as the Amenano B&B & Apartments is located on the 2nd floor without an elevator). Great choice for a stop to discover Catania. All 10, just an 8 for breakfast, as it is provided by the bar, due to Covid restrictions.

The B&B is in a very convenient location to visit the city. Carmelo gave us some valuable tips that allowed us to comfortably organize our visit to the city, also capturing typical aspects of the place. Catania is a very interesting city, there is much to discover, especially if aided by a valid guide, as ours was. Unforgettable stay overall, starting from the location that has its own charm. Both the structure and the city are highly recommended to visit.

In the "center of the center" of Catania, as the very kind and always helpful owner Carmelo likes to say, our room was spacious, bright, and equipped with all modern comforts, it also had two balconies overlooking historic and lively alleys. Breakfast in one of the most beautiful squares in the city, at a historic pastry shop. Highly recommended.

With my wife, we stayed for 4 days in Catania. We were lucky to book with Mr. Carmelo, an excellent host, very kind, friendly, and discreet. The B&B is located in the ancient center of Catania, a stone's throw from the Cathedral, the Amenano fountain, and the university palace. With a few steps, you 'experience' Catania... what a life. Extremely clean rooms and a strategic location. A city to live and discover, especially on foot through its streets, even the more internal and less frequented ones, in search of glimpses, flavors, and typically Sicilian customs. Breakfast is not served at the property, but it is savored in one of the most historic and prestigious bars in Catania... The Bar Prestipino, one of the best ways to start the day well. B&B Amenano, a guarantee. If we happen to return to Catania, I believe we will return to Mr. Carmelo.
