Nice B&B with all needed amenities. It is well positioned in the castle district. The breakfast is a weak point given the distance and its limited choice. We lacked human presence to get recommendations as we experienced at different places in Sardinia.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location is perfect — close to everything we needed, but still quiet and relaxing. The room was clean and comfortable, and we especially loved the terrace — it was such a nice spot to relax and enjoy the view. The situation of Residenza Kastrum and the rented room are nearly perfect. We enjoyed our stay in Cagliari. But it is to say that the bed or the mattress of room 4 should be renewed. It is uncomfortable, worn out. And we have had no information on where the breakfast will be served although we asked Roberta for the address the night before by sms and mail and have tried to contact her by phone in the morning. Our answer to her demand for feedback remained unheard.

The suite is large and lovely, and the rooftop views are both panoramic and wonderful. If you fantasize about breakfasting on the rooftop, as I did, keep in mind breakfast is alas at a cafe a walk down the hill. It is less a "bed and breakfast" and more an apartment with a manager who responds (promptly) by WhatsApp.

Stayed over with a group of friends when visited Cagliari. Charming place, brilliantly located in the middle of the historic area/ old city centre! Easy accessible (checkin/checkout), good facilities, excellent communications with the owner, parking places in its proximity; we only regreted we couldn't stay longer! Roberta was very welcoming and helpful during our short stay. We arrived early and were expecting to just leave our luggage for a few hours, but our room was ready right away. The location was perfect, close to everything but quiet. The place was very clean and well kept. We forgot an item behind when we checked out and Roberta let us know as soon as they found it and kept it for a few days until we were able to come back and pick it up. The included breakfast was close by and delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Host was great. Always available to answer questions and help. I needed to be high on the hill of the old city near the duomo and the location was perfect. It was also quiet and out of the buzz and traffic of the lower city. Continental breakfasts were available at bars just a few steps from the hotel: both had indoor and outdoor tables with wonderful views of the old city. The service was friendly and the breakfast perfect for my needs and tastes. But for those looking for more than a continental breakfast, keep this in mind.

We stayed twice at Residenza Kastrum in September and October 2020. It was really easy to communicate with Michele also in advance as we wanted to confirm a few things before booking. He was really friendly. The room and bathroom were spacious. Everything was clean, etc. It was a nice bonus that there was a rooftop terrace where we could smoke and enjoy nice views of the city. The location was really good as well. Because of covid-19, we received a breakfast voucher for the cafeteria next to the cathedral.

This is the best hotel/guesthouse we have ever stayed in anywhere in the world. Yes, we have stayed in 'fancier'/more grand, thus expensive places, but euro for euro this is the best place we have ever stayed. Treat yourself to the suite if you can.

Roberta was perfect, she responded very quickly to all my questions, making our stay perfect. Only the breakfast was a bit sparse (coffee and pastries). Fortunately, Roberta managed to ask for my children to have hot chocolate instead of coffee! It would have been nice to add a fresh orange juice... Possibility to leave your luggage in the lobby when you have a flight in the afternoon. Super convenient. It would be good to plug in the lobby fridge so that we can leave some products there before our flight. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

I couldn't get the wifi in my room (had to go to the hallway). Breakfast to be taken outside and too simple (just a coffee and a croissant). I had to pay for an orange juice or a second croissant.

Great address and well located to easily visit Cagliari on foot. The room is spacious and the terrace is fantastic. The little attentions of coffee, tea, sweets, and bottles of water in the room are truly a plus. We received all the information to retrieve the keys and access the room independently.

Le -: the person in charge of welcoming us asks us the day before around what time we think we will arrive, we say between 6 and 7 pm, and indeed we arrive at 6:30 pm. Too bad, this person is not present and once we contacted her, she tells us she will arrive as soon as possible. It can happen but tired after a good day of sightseeing, having to wait with luggage at the foot of the building in a narrow street, is a shame. The +: apart from that, everything is very good, clear both the functioning of the premises, the explanations of things to see in the neighborhood or where to eat.. The day before, we are given clear and precise explanations on how to reach the structure on foot because located in the heart of the castello district, you cannot reach it by car, but you can park for free on a boulevard 5-10 minutes away. Beautiful and large spacious room, complete and very satisfying breakfast in terms of quality/quantity, the real + of this establishment, the breakfast that can be taken on the terrace on the rooftops overlooking the cathedral, the sea, the city.. and also its location in the heart of the castello which allows all kinds of visits.

I stayed here for the second time, this time we took the Suite which is really stunning. The terrace is fantastic and you can have superb aperitifs at sunset with a view of the sea and all of Cagliari (you have to bring everything though). We noticed that the terrace is one of the highest in the historic center! Unfortunately, the breakfast is a bit scarce (little choice) but the place is so beautiful that breakfast is not very important in the end. Excellent location in the historic center. We will definitely come back.

If you love the unique atmosphere of the Castello district in Cagliari, with its breathtaking views, unforgettable sunsets, and a village rich in history suited for human scale, this is the perfect place for you. Just a short walk from the Cathedral and very close to the Marina area, the location is truly ideal, in a historic building on a narrow street of the old village. We had been here years ago, bringing with us wonderful memories, and returning was like reliving those same emotions. Breakfast is not served directly in the property but in a nearby partner café; however, there is a coffee machine and a kettle in the room. The only point that could be improved: some details in the bathroom could be perfected, but these are normal structural adjustments. Overall, an experience I highly recommend!

The structure is located in an inconvenient area. There is no parking nearby. We traveled a few kilometers to carry the luggage. The apartment is large but not very functional. The bathroom is far from the bedroom. The television is not present in the bedroom. The apartment is large and not very heated. The breakfast was in a nice bar but far away. It is not suitable for our needs.

Weekend of relaxation. I booked a suite at Residenza Kastrum and I was very satisfied. The room was practically equipped with everything, in addition to being particularly beautiful. Mi dispiace che nella sua recensione abbia scordato di menzionare tutti i servizi offerti gratuitamente alla Residenza Kastrum: macchina per caffè espresso con cialde incluse, bollitore con the e tisane, wi-fi, TV, tutti servizi gratuiti che offriamo ai nostri ospiti, per niente scontati, che tante strutture superior non offrono e che, come puoi vedere dalle tante recensioni positive, la maggior parte dei nostri ospiti apprezza. Detto questo, mi dispiace davvero tanto leggere dei feedback totalmente non veritieri, la macchina del caffè era stata perfettamente e attentamente pulita poco prima del vostro arrivo, forse proprio perchè era molto attenta a visionare la pulizia della macchina del caffe che vi siete permessi, senza nessuna autorizzazione vorrei precisare, di togliere il sacchetto del filtro della vaschetta dell'acqua e poggiarlo, tra l'altro zuppo di acqua, sopra la nostra scrivania in legno, causando un danno alla scrivania e alla macchina del caffe stessa! Pochi prodotti di cortesia... questa affermazione mi lascia interdetta! forniamo cuffiette, gel doccia, vanity set (dischetti e cotton fioc) e sapone liquido per le mani, la prego mi spieghi meglio cos'altro dovremo aggiungere per migliorare il nostro servizio perchè a mio avviso siamo abbastanza in linea con tutte le altre strutture ricettive di qualsiasi tipo e categoria. Terzo punto, vetri delle finestre sporchi, durante il suo soggiorno a Cagliari, come sicuramente ricorda, diluviava, detto questo non penso ci sia il bisogno di ulteriori spiegazioni, mi sembra ovvio che i vetri della camera non potevano risplendere. The presence of the lift is useful for those with heavy luggage. Lovely the small common terrace above the rooftops with a 360° view. We took advantage of the last-minute offer, so the price/offer ratio was particularly interesting. Parquet in the room and marble in the bathrooms.

I must say that Roberta in the reception, booking, and assistance service is excellent. The Residenza Kastrum is very nice, perhaps in need of some updating. The location is lovely and the view is beautiful. We will come back!

A beautiful palace in the oldest part of the city. The structure is very well maintained, very clean and well-kept. Very honest price. Roberta's availability and kindness, the owner, is top-notch.

The only downside is the breakfast in an external bar, perhaps it is a solution for the winter period, everything else is great.

The suite where my wife and I stayed is not a room but a real apartment. Refined, elegant, equipped with every comfort. Breathtaking panoramic view. Only downside is the breakfast not on site.

High-level panoramic suite, well furnished and with private access to the panoramic terrace, the true gem of the Residenza Kastrum. Unique location in a historic neighborhood like Castle. Cleanliness and excellent value for money are the other strengths of this property.

Michele is an attentive, professional, kind, courteous, and caring boy in everything. Beautiful structure, I stayed in the suite overlooking the port, being able to enjoy a wonderful sunset. If you happen to go to Cagliari, do not hesitate to book in this structure. Excellent.

Michele is a perfect and kind host. The place is convenient to visit the center, excellent location in front of the cathedral. Carinonil terrace. Clean rooms and the possibility to make coffee or tea independently. Breakfast cappuccino and croissants at the bar under the cathedral.

Very central location, very clean and with a breathtaking view of Cagliari. The manager was very kind and uniquely available. Only breakfast (not attributable to the structure) could be improved, as due to Covid reasons it was not served on site but a voucher is provided for a nearby bar with room for improvement in service. Otherwise, a perfect score of 10.

The short stay was very pleasant. I found an impeccable structure for cleanliness and an aesthetically perfect environment. Excellent renovation, well blended the antique and the practicality of the modern. The view from the terrace over the rooftops is fascinating. The only small flaw: breakfast. I suggest local products that surely are not lacking. Starting the day with good pecorino and local ham would be the best. I will do my best to return as soon as possible to enjoy again the splendid location and beautiful Cagliari.

Kastrum is a splendid place. The structure is located in an incredible position, on the edge of Piazza Palazzo, in a carefully and tastefully restored historic building. The manager is very kind and helpful. Only one flaw: the breakfast. If we exclude the homemade pastries, the rest of the offering is just sufficient and clashes with the nature of the structure. I believe that even if the rates were slightly revised upwards, the overall image would greatly benefit.

We stayed 2 days at Residenza Kastrum, very elegant and comfortable in every aspect. We were welcomed with great courtesy and availability. Excellent breakfast with fresh products; spacious and clean room; beautiful view of the historic center and the harbor from the little terrace on the roofs. In the city center and easily reachable from the paid parking (6€ per day). Functional wifi. Highly recommended!

Loved it! We stayed for 3 nights and everything was perfect. Very well located, about 5 minutes from Piazza Yenne. Roberta was an excellent host, always available. The room was spacious and equipped with everything we needed. We would definitely come back.
