It’s easy to be cynical about reviews but La Fonda more than lives up to the praise that’s been posted. From the beautiful wisteria covered courtyard, to the fantastically comfortable beds, and bountiful breakfasts. With air conditioning for hot weather periods and an impeccably clean environment, our accommodation was faultless. We recommend the room with the balcony looking towards the sea. Katie is a fantastic and charming host who will make you feel extremely welcome and can offer great tips and recommendations to help you get the best out of your visit. La Fonda itself is ideally placed, close enough for beaches and restaurants whilst also being in a quiet part of the town. Nearby on street parking readily available and within walking distance of the ferries to the Maddalena Islands.

We really enjoyed staying at La Fonda by Katie. Katie is lovely and always ready to help and give us good addresses. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable, the bathroom as well. The breakfast was good. We also loved the terrace with the view over the roofs and the sea. La Fonda is central in Palau and near the beaches (10-15 min by foot) and the ferry to Maddelena. I highly recommend this La Fonda.

Perfect in all aspects. Katie is a great host and the room that we had was lovely. The decor, furnishing, and air conditioning are to a very high standard. We really enjoyed our coffee and breakfast on the roof terrace. We would recommend La Fonda to anybody.

We stayed at La Fonda for 4 days, we just loved it. The house is very cosy and Katie is very nice! The rooms are nicely decorated and the bathroom is modern and clean. Also nice breakfast and roof terrace. Wish we could have stayed there for more nights.

The accommodation is centrally located, and you can easily find parking nearby. It is very clean and lovingly furnished. The breakfast is plentiful and diverse, there is something for everyone. The centerpiece is the owner Katie! She is always available, helpful in every situation, and super friendly - simply too nice to be true.

A fantastic accommodation with a direct view of the sea, friendly hosts and a lovingly, personally prepared breakfast on the terrace high above the sea with fresh products from their own wonderful garden. You are away from the hustle and bustle, it takes about 20 minutes to walk to Vico Equense, I loved it, but I also enjoy walking. The owners arranged a parking space for us in town and picked us up there and also drove us back. All in all too good to be true.

Katie is a wonderful hostess. Very kind and super helpful. The accommodation is very clean. Centrally located, the center of Palau and the beaches are within a 5-10 minute walk. Delicious breakfast, everything you need. Katie also occasionally makes scrambled eggs or fried eggs. We had a very, very nice week.

We had a wonderful time in this establishment, managed by Mrs. Katie in a welcoming way, with kindness and taking care of the guests' privacy. The location is also excellent for any type of excursion to the most beautiful beaches of both the archipelago of La Maddalena and the entire Costa Smeralda.

Strategically located property in a quiet area, yet close to the center of Palau, reachable in 5 minutes on foot. The main beaches of Palau are also nearby. Spacious room and bathroom, with the possibility to hang out in a small attached terrace. Daily cleaning. Varied and plentiful breakfast. Katie is a fantastic host, welcoming, discreet, and always available to provide help or suggestions, attentive to guests' needs. If we return to Palau next year, we will know who to contact.

I can only say beautiful things about the bed and breakfast La Fonda and Catherine, who manages it. It was a wonderful holiday, the bed and breakfast is in a strategic position, a stone's throw from the center, in an area where parking is not difficult. Beautiful beaches can be reached in a few minutes by car. The bed and breakfast is a gem, comfortable and well-equipped, and Catherine is a special person. I really believe that this is now our favorite place for our holidays in Gallura.

Recently renovated facility, located near the center of Palau, easily reachable on foot in 5 minutes. Spacious rooms with balcony, linen change every 3 days. Possibility to use a kitchenette with fridge and coffee machine available to guests. Varied and abundant breakfast including fresh croissants and homemade cake. Katie is an always present and available hostess ready to provide suggestions for beaches, boat tours, and restaurants. Parking always available in the nearby surroundings. Excellent value for money.

Beautiful structure, easily reachable even by public transport in the town center; well organized, my room was spacious on the first floor with a charming bow window, well furnished; well-stocked breakfast, excellent value for money; very kind, helpful and efficient owner. Quiet and peaceful location. Absolutely recommended for a stay in Palau and to visit La Maddalena.

I hope to return next year, I can simply say it was a fabulous holiday beyond all expectations, I recommend La Fonda to those who want to spend days on this unique island.

Very welcoming and tastefully decorated structure. Spacious room with everything you need. Good quality bed. Breakfast with everything you need both savory and sweet. Just a 5-minute walk from the center. So in the evening there is no need to take the car for restaurants or anything else. Katie is very friendly and always ready to give you advice on restaurants or beaches. We had a lovely week. I can only recommend it.

We spent our summer holidays at the B&B La Fonda and were guests of Katie for a week. The property is located in the center of Palau and in 5 minutes on foot you can reach the port where ferries depart for La Maddalena. At the same time, the street is quiet and you can sleep pleasantly in the evening. The B&B is very well maintained, with attention to every detail and you can see in every small detail the care with which Katie manages it. Our room, located on the ground floor, was spacious, clean, and very bright, equipped with a wardrobe, chest of drawers, double bed with bedside tables, desk, and armchair. The bathroom, also spacious, is equipped with a shower and bidet. Daily cleaning is carried out by Mrs. Paola, very kind and discreet, with towel changes every 3 days or upon request. Breakfast is served from 8 to 10 and is truly exceptional, with everything from sweet to savory, fruit, yogurt, milk, coffee, and tea. On the roof, there is a clothesline available to dry beach towels and swimsuits, while on the second floor there is a fridge available to guests to cool some drinks.

Katie is an excellent host. The property is very central, just a few minutes from the port and the main street. Our room was very cozy and tastefully decorated. Highly recommended.

Cozy and clean facility. Abundant breakfast, and the manager offers the opportunity to take away what you don't consume, to eat it later. Upon our arrival, we found water and fresh fruit in the room. In short, excellent facility and good value for money.

Very comfortable place. The owner, Katie, is very nice, extremely kind and helpful. Room cleaning done every day. The breakfast cakes are a delight. Recommended.

B&B La Fonda. Located between the historic center of Palau and the beach of Sciumara, quiet at night, clean, well-kept, small and family-oriented, suitable for those seeking relaxation and privacy. Breakfast made by Katie is different every morning. Katie is nice and helpful. She is generous with information. She is the one who does everything with the care of someone who cares about the structure and the clients. Personally, I found myself very well and when I return to Palau I will certainly try to return to Katie.
