A surprise "Breakfast with the Commander" our father Antonio Casanova, who will tell legends and anecdotes of our magical island.

I loved the time I could stay at Il Ghiro. It was much more than a bed and breakfast. If I needed something I could ask any time. If I wanted no contact it was accepted, if I wanted a little chat it was also possible. Thank you, Il Ghiro, for this wonderful time at Carloforte. It would not have been the same without Il Ghiro.

Excellent welcome from Bruno who manages his charming rooms with taste and efficiency (excellent futons and memory foam pillows); tailor-made breakfast and as much advice as you want! The location is ideal, the two small rooms overlook the most charming square.

We stayed for three nights in this really nice place in the center of Carloforte. The room with the bunk bed has a small balcony overlooking the central square, very picturesque. We felt at home thanks to the hospitality and kindness of the owners and the attention to detail, including the excellent breakfast with typical products from the Carloforte area. We will definitely be back soon! ❤️

Everything poetic. The colors of 'Il Ghiro' cure the Good mood. The perfect moment is breakfast time in the square. The only praise for the effort is linked to the spiral staircase to reach the rooms with Japanese opening. We loved it.

Finally I met him! I courted him for a long time, attracted by its vibrant colors and original yet authentic style, but it was always full! I spent two pleasant nights and it did not disappoint my expectations at all. In fact! There is a lively, real, and intense atmosphere. I felt well received by the attentions of Rossella and Bruno, who offered me a healthy and abundant breakfast with delicious homemade products. Top! I just missed a slightly softer and cuddly pillow.

At Il Ghiro you experience living in a real Carloforte house, impeccable service and well-kept and clean rooms. Every piece of furniture and object recalls the tradition and culture of the place. The breakfast is excellent and rich, with Carloforte products, the yogurt and mulberry jam are super delicious. Genuine and sincere kindness and cordiality. Recommended for people who love authentic and well-kept places.

Everything perfect, from the parking under the house, to the cleanliness, to the friendliness of the lady at breakfast (I apologize, but I forgot the name :)). Bruno, if any of you come to Genoa, we have the B&B Villini Albaro or the apartment InCasetta and we would love to have you as our guests (the focaccia here is something else!). We stayed at this property for three nights and it was a pleasant surprise. The B&B is located in the heart of the ancient village. All the furniture is well-kept and never random. Through the thick walls and the beams of the past, the memories of three generations come alive, and that's why it's not an anonymous place. Bruno is a friendly and helpful guy who kept us company during the excellent and healthy breakfast with local products. Thanks to him, we entered the magical world of this paradise island! If you really want to find a small downside, I would say that perhaps people who struggle to sleep could have some trouble falling asleep due to the noises coming from the square. However, the windows are well isolated. We will definitely come back if we are ever in Carloforte again!

I stayed at the Il Ghiro property for a day and I was thoroughly satisfied. The property is located on the main square of the town, easily reachable on foot from the ferry terminal and the bus stop to the beaches. The interior is tastefully decorated with attention to detail, the cleanliness is commendable, and the breakfast is exceptional. In addition to being abundant, it is based on local zero-kilometer products, including wild blackberry jam, yogurt, and sweets made directly by the owners. Bruno, the owner, was kind and helpful. The only downside for those with light sleep, like me, is the excessive noise coming from the square below due to the chatter of people until late at night and the vendors setting up the Sunday morning market at dawn. Still an experience to be repeated! Highly recommended.

The eight days spent at Il Ghiro were particularly pleasant: the structure is very welcoming, right in the center, and well taken care of in every detail. The owners, two very friendly brothers, have always been kind and ready to meet our needs. A special mention to the breakfast: typical sweets, homemade jam, and fresh bread were never missing.

B&B really comfortable (right in the city center) and welcoming. Spacious and clean room, and a very nice bathroom. The manager is an exquisite person, helpful and always very kind. He even helped us find a shared taxi for the return, given the Sunday train strike. A heartfelt thank you, and we will definitely come back.

Delightful Bed and Breakfast, simple yet well-kept with solutions that make a historic residence a small cozy nest. Abundant and genuine breakfast. Hosts are truly hospitable and helpful, thanks to their words you can discover the touristic side of Carloforte and more. The only small downside, given the centrality of the structure, is the night noise during the weekend, but absolutely negligible considering everything else! Absolutely recommended.

The B&B Il Ghiro is charming, the hosts are friendly and helpful, the cleanliness is perfect, the breakfasts are excellent and creative. I did find the location in the main square of the town a bit noisy, but the issue was resolved with a pair of earplugs. I hope to return to Carloforte and enjoy the hospitality again.

The B&B Il Ghiro is located in the main square of the village. It is comfortable and welcoming, evoking in the memory of guests an atmosphere related to sharing and familiarity. It is recommended for its central location, for the atmospheric furnishings, and for the perfect cleanliness. The managers are very kind and always available. We easily found free parking in the port area just a few steps from the property. I had read other reviews where it was said that the square was noisy, but it did not seem so to us at all.
