Our B&B is placed at Bergamo art city, in a quiet, panoramic setting, in the heart of the city nearby Città Alta. "I Ghiri" is unique, distinctive style.

Our guests will be able to stroll around the lights and colours of the shopping streets, explore tradition and culture along your own delicious fine food and wine trail, explore cultural events and exhibitions, enjoyable long walks in the many gardens and stunning surrounding countryside.
Near our facility you can find several monuments and famous places. Any football fans can catch their team playing at nearby stadium 'Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia di Bergamo'.

We had a great stay at I Ghiri BnB. The room was beautiful and spacious. The Città Alta is just a five-minute walk away. The hosts were really friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.

This is a historic house close to the Old City, and is hosted by the owner herself. We had an amazing stay - perfect in every respect. The property is over 200 years old, and one can see it in the antiquated doors and ceilings. So cute and quaint, but otherwise equipped with all modern comforts. The owner Cristina goes out of her way to make her guests feel at home. She gave great recommendations for food and sites to see -- we went to dine at the Colombiana and loved it. The breakfast was abundant and delicious. 10/10! The only disadvantage is that because it's a historic house, there is no lift or a way to avoid stairs, which may be a problem for guests with mobility issues. As for our little group, we simply couldn't make a better choice in Bergamo.

A nice place to stay near to the Città Alta Bergamo next to the forest in a quiet area in a lovely classic Italian building. Everything was perfect, the breakfast was fantastic and the host, Cristina, is a super kind woman. Highly recommend.

A beautiful (albeit) short but peaceful stay in the equally unmatched città alta of Bergamo! Preciously aged infrastructure that simply added to the charm of the warmly welcoming hosts! recommend if you want to be close enough but not in the full blown centre which can get a little tourist busy! Thank you for your hospitality and complete delicious breakfast!

Excellent stay at I Ghiri with Cristina. The 3 bed room was enormous and beautifully decorated. The location is great, less than 10 min walk from the old town, but set in greenery and very calm. There is parking there and it's very easy to find. Cristina was incredibly helpful, providing us with a map of the town and recommending various restaurants. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Charming stay, very friendly and warm host, couldn't do enough to help you. Position of B&B good, just a short walk up a hill from where the bus stops. Breakfast of cheeses, meat (if required), eggs, yogurts, fresh fruit, jams, honey, cereals and delicious fresh bread every morning. Delicious coffee, assorted teas and fresh juices.

I have just returned from my trip to Bergamo and my stay at the B&B il Ghiri. This was the best B&B I have stayed in. The house was lovely. Extremely clean. Very comfortable bed. The breakfast was better than you get in expensive hotels. The owner of the house was just perfect to be running a B&B. The correct mix of friendliness, but very professional. The accommodation was a little way out of Upper City and as I was staying there on my own it was just a very very tiny issue for me. Having said that it would not deter me from staying with this family again. The house, breakfast peace and quiet more than made up for the walk uphill away from the Cita alta. I would recommend this B&B to anybody traveling to the wonderful city of Bergamo.

Great BnB just 5 minutes walk from Bergamo's Upper Town. The owner is lovely, she does everything to put you in the best conditions. She is available to provide the necessary information to visit the city. The establishment is quiet and the breakfast is good, with fresh fruits, local cheese, and everything you need to start the day well. We started and ended our 10-day stay in Italy here! We highly recommend it :)

This B&B is 10 minutes on foot from the upper town and close to the funicular that leads to the lower town, so it has a very good geographical location. Cristina is very welcoming and helpful. She is interested in everyone, provides excellent advice on tourism and restaurants. The bedding and wifi are perfect, as well as the abundant breakfast tailored to your wishes. I highly recommend it.

Being in Bergamo is a pleasant experience, but staying at I Ghiri makes the experience even more beautiful. Cristina's large house, built on a hillside, is immersed in still wild nature. At night, scents of trees and humus rise, and you can hear the crickets. It feels like being in the countryside. Yet, you are only a two or three turns away from the historic center of Bergamo, which can be reached in a few minutes on foot, passing by beautiful villas and their gardens. Even the "città bassa" is easily accessible on foot, for those who enjoy walking. Cristina, always attentive to the comfort of her guests, warmly welcomes you, with great savoir-faire and refinement. Her house is full of charm and impeccably maintained. You immediately feel at home and leave with regret. Before heading out for excursions, you happily go to the kitchen, where a rich and varied breakfast is served: eggs, Italian cold cuts and cheeses, cherry tomatoes, yogurts, fruits, tea, coffee, fruit juices, croissants and small pastries typical of Bergamo. The day starts well! Thank you very much, Cristina. I loved I Ghiri, where I slept like a "dormouse".

The lady was very kind. The environment is very clean and familiar. Excellent breakfast. The private external bathroom is adjacent to the room and is absolutely not a problem for privacy.

We felt at home in this historic charm property. The location is convenient for reaching the historic center on foot, comfortably leaving the car in the b&b's parking provided, also the area is quiet and you rest very well at night. A plus are the valuable tips from Mrs. Cristina and her husband.

What can I say, thank you Cristina for the hospitality and detailed information for visiting the city. The B&B is located a 5-minute walk from the center with private parking at our disposal. Despite leaving early, we still found a plentiful and varied breakfast.

We were kindly welcomed by Mrs. Cristina, the B&B is slightly outside the historic center of Bergamo Alta, reachable on foot in about ten minutes, surrounded by greenery, has a private parking included in the price, which was a pleasant surprise, the rooms are clean and tastefully furnished, perfect breakfast, abundant and varied sweet and savory. It's a pity we could only stay one night, highly recommended. The only downside is the lack of accessibility for wheelchair users, otherwise perfect.

A beautiful villa immersed in a quiet and peaceful location but just a 5-minute walk from the Upper Town. Carefully furnished, very clean structure and functional spaces. The breakfast was also excellent as well as the welcome from Mrs. Cristina who provided us with valuable tourist and food and wine information about the city. Highly recommended!
