The B&B was clean and fine for a few days. The room and bathroom were a little tight for two people and luggage, but that is to be expected in a major European city. It was about a 20 minute walk to the Duomo, during which you will pass plenty of restaurants. So the location is good for exploring Milan. I was disappointed by the breakfast. It was basically pre-packaged processed food that was soft and tasteless. Come on this is Italy, surely you can do better.

The area is nice, with many restaurants just 5 minutes walk. The breakfast is terrible, but if you request in advance she will provide yogurt (although fruit, no). No shampoo but if you ask during check in, she will provide. I did not feel the host was happy to have us stay, no warmth.

I certainly recommend B&B Da Mara when going to Milan. Everything was taken care of. The apartment is beautifully decorated, charming, and homey. It is very well located near Porta Romana. Our host was very friendly and helpful.

Very well located, a 23-minute walk from the Duomo and very close to the Porta di Romana metro station which takes you everywhere. Everything was very good...with just one downside, the rooms facing the street are particularly noisy due to car and motorbike traffic. Remains one of the best value for money in Milan.

The B&B da Mara is easily accessible by public transport. However, the parking situation is very difficult. The room was clean and was tidied up daily. We were warmly welcomed by Mara and well taken care of. The breakfast is plentiful but unfortunately only Italian. For guests who mostly like sweet, it is just right. All in all, a good accommodation for a stay in Milan and a very pleasant host.

We had a wonderful stay and felt very comfortable in the very homely furnished room. Despite the different languages, we felt well taken care of by the very friendly hostess. We would gladly come back!

The location we liked. The room spacious and super clean. Mara, charming and pleasant. But there are details that make us not come back... filling the house, room, bathroom and so on with instructions on how to do things, it rather looks like a military service. A normal person takes all that for granted. The breakfast, packaged and laborious, we were able to have a second cup of coffee. I missed a kettle, as in any b&b or hotel, since we bought coffee sachets ourselves to make one at night. The place is recommendable, but I didn't feel comfortable neither at home.

Lei mi critica tutti i miei suggerimenti scritti e a quanto pare non avendo scritto che vicino al lavandino c'era e c'è un bollitore (di cui lei segnala la mancanza) lei si lamenta, ma vicino ci sono le bustine di camomilla e nel cassetto le tisane e il the. Mi spiace ma per tutti i miei ospiti al momento questo mio massaggiare è sempre stato gradito, grazie ugualmente per il suo soggiorno, cordiali saluti mara mars.

Excellent accommodation in Milan, you feel better than at home, it's a place you can call home, also the location is perfect to immerse yourself in the heart of the city, the service at Bed and Breakfast da Mara is wonderful as she explains everything perfectly and her attention is the best. Honestly, I would stay here again in this beautiful B&B.

Mara is an exceptional host. Her B&B is very welcoming, well kept and spacious. Our "blue" room was equipped with all comforts and was very clean; we really lacked nothing and for any request Mara is available with her sweet smile. The value for money is excellent, the abundant breakfast provided is much appreciated and the location is also fantastic, allowing you to reach the city center in a short time (the metro and tram stops are nearby and with a 20-minute walk you reach the Duomo). We cannot wait to return and to recommend this place.

A gem in a very lively area of Milan. It is just a short walk from the metro stop (line 3), so you have the opportunity to reach in a few minutes areas of significant tourist interest (the Duomo, just to name one) or of general utility (such as Central Station). Small but clean and welcoming rooms, with everything needed for an absolutely comfortable stay. But the real plus is the owner, Mrs. Mara, who put us at ease right away. She furnished the property with style and elegance, making it warm and welcoming. From today this has become our reference point when we need to stay in the city of Milan.

Vacation in Milan. We recommend the B&B apartment from Mara. For two people, a comfortable bed and a place to rest during the day. The breakfast is in typical Italian style: sweet but abundant, perfect for starting the day well. Apartment located about half an hour's walk from the center, but close to trams and the subway with convenient connections to all attractions in Milan, the train station, and the airport. Mara is a very kind lady who takes care of her guests. She only speaks Italian, but she is fluent in instant messaging, which eliminates communication problems. We recommend it.

We already knew this B&B da Mara and since we had a great time before, we decided to go back. The stay lasted three nights. The room was spacious, well furnished, and welcoming. Mrs. Mara was very kind and always available. The position of the bed and breakfast is in the heart of Porta Romana, so it is very central. I would gladly return.

Everything perfect: structure in a central location well served by the subway with a wide choice of restaurants and bars in the area. Excellent cleanliness, availability, and kindness of the owner. Mrs. Mara is courteous and very helpful. The structure is clean and in a fairly central location that allows you to easily reach Piazza Duomo, even on foot. The lovely and comfortable room is equipped with maximum functionality. The breakfast, although prepackaged, is varied and well assorted. The cappuccino is also good. Only downside: there are no single-dose/travel-type dispensers, generally found in hotels and B&Bs, of soaps, shampoos, shower gels, instead of which there are classic "family" bottles.

We really liked the Bed and Breakfast da Mara from the very first moment. Everything was very clean and the room was tastefully decorated. The breakfast was very good and abundant by Italian standards. Especially the cappuccino was very tasty. The Bed and Breakfast was very well located: tram and metro station nearby. But even on foot you are not far from the Duomo di Milano. We had a great time and would return to Bed and Breakfast da Mara at any time.

Mrs. Mara is an excellent host, kind, smiling, and helpful, and her Bed and Breakfast, carefully designed in every detail, makes you feel at home. There is truly nothing missing, and even the water in the living room/kitchen that you can take from a dispenser and the plastic bottles kindly provided (for those who have the habit of drinking during the night without having to get out of bed) is the epitome of customer care. Not to mention the cleanliness of the bathroom and common areas, the proximity to the metro, everything perfect, I will definitely come back.

I spent four nights at Bed and Breakfast da Mara and had a very comfortable stay, close to bars, restaurants, and taverns. Just a short walk from QC Thermemilano, an excellent day spa to relax after intense days exploring the secrets of Milan. I found a very beautiful, warm, welcoming, clean, neat Bed & Breakfast, with a very cordial, professional, always available owner (Mara), in short, a really great person. Moreover, the location, despite being in a central area of Milan, offers quite an affordable price. You can also reach the most beautiful places in a few minutes on foot. I will definitely return to stay with Mara for my next stay in Milan.

We had a great time. The B&B da Mara is cozy, equipped with everything you need and well organized by Mrs. Mara. The connection to the city center is convenient and fast. The only flaw is the breakfast, which indeed "clashes" with everything else: not very comfortable, based solely on packaged "industrial" foods. Besides this small drawback, however, the experience was more than positive. We would recommend it and will return!

Courtesy and hospitality. A quick search for a B&B where to stay for 2 nights in Milan, I randomly found 'B&B da Mara'. Initially, I booked it exclusively because it is located a few hundred meters from the Porta Romana metro stop, then it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The owner, Mrs. Mara, was very courteous and welcoming. I stayed in the blue room with private bathroom: it is sufficiently spacious, equipped with all comforts, the cleanliness is impeccable, the bed is very comfortable, and the decor is well taken care of down to the smallest details. The B&B's location just outside the historic center is strategic. The breakfast is average. The owner respected the agreed price both on the website and over the phone. A more than positive experience. I will consider it for a possible return to Milan and will recommend it to others. Thank you, Mrs. Mara.

In a big city like Milan, finding a host who makes you feel at home is the most positive thing that can happen to you. You can tackle the city and the tasks you have to fulfill knowing that you will return to a welcoming, clean, well-equipped, comfortable, colorful place with all the comforts. Personally, I had the pleasure of meeting Mara and chatting with her, and since she is a nice, kind, intelligent, and helpful person and very pleasant on a human level, I already know that wherever I have to go in Milan, even if not in the Porta Romana area, I will return to Mara to face my Milanese stay.

Expectations perfectly met. I had read excellent reviews, everything corresponding to the truth. Strategic location, comfortable room, meticulously cared for in every detail, fragrant. All the services of the structure are excellent. A special note of satisfaction deserves the availability of drinking water 24h/24h, with the dispenser accessible to everyone (essential for a "camel" like me). The owner is extremely kind, puts you at ease effortlessly and makes you feel at home. I will definitely come back.

Found it immediately welcoming and cute, enhanced by the hospitality of Mrs. Mara who made my stay, albeit short, very peaceful, relaxing, and rejuvenating for the long departure that awaited me. Extremely comfortable, spotless room with every possible accessory and of great utility, with extremely fast Wi-Fi, very comfortable bed, and even though I used the room without an independent bathroom, I had no problem since I could use the outside area reserved for my room. Excellent breakfast with a wide choice of beverages and food of all kinds. I reiterate the courtesy and kindness of the owner to add an extra touch to a small but beautiful structure 5 minutes from the Porta Romana metro station and 10-15 minutes from the center walking peacefully.

I stayed at the B&B da Mara in the orange room for two nights. Mara is extremely kind, helpful, and pays attention to every detail. It is one of the cleanest B&Bs I have ever been to. The location is great as it is very close to the metro stop. The breakfast is plentiful and varied. Mara is also very fair as we had made a reservation for 4 people, then we showed up as 3 due to an unexpected departure, and at the time of payment Mara deducted the money related to the services for the extra person, even though we had not requested it. I will definitely recommend this B&B and will gladly return!

The structure is located in a quiet and fairly central area, a short distance from the metro stop. My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 nights, from December 30th to January 1st, at the B&B da Mara. The green room is very cozy and very clean, as well as the bathroom and all the areas that were at our disposal (kitchen and living room). The structure is very close to the metro stop, just 3 stops from the Duomo and it is easy to reach it even on foot. Mrs. Mara was very hospitable, kind, and helpful. She made us feel at home and helped make our New Year's Eve even more special. We will definitely come back if we were to return to Milan.
