We had a great full week at B&B L'Isola in a very charming and calm environment. Our hosts were really warm and welcoming and gave us plenty of friendly advice on where to go for a walk and eating out. They also very kindly lent us their bikes which took us on a 30km round trip. The bedroom was really nice and cleaned every day. As mentioned by others, Didier is a real character, never intrusive but with plenty of humor and wisdom. Only to avoid if you don't like your host to engage with you at all! Don't be put off by the proximity of the industrial area you see on the Google map, you can spend days without seeing it by just driving along the old village secondary road or walking and cycling the cycling trail. L'Isola itself is really calm, on the edge of a rural area and not far from the river Adda. It is exceptionally well located also to visit other areas (e.g. Valtellina or Val Chiavenna) than just the towns and villages perched around Lake Como.

Buildings with a history and a story. Furniture and decorations typical of this region. Very comfortable beds. Warm welcome from Daniel, the owner, who prepares delicious things for breakfast and also knows how to give good recommendations. An address that I recommend.

Un accueil chaleureux et un constant souci de notre bien être ont été les raisons de notre retour dans cet endroit pour un second séjour. Outre la chambre somptueuse toujours bien entretenue et d’une propreté impeccable, le cadre verdoyant est étonnant et contribue à faire du B&B l’Isola une étape incontournable pour découvrir cette région qui regorge de trésors! Il faut aussi souligner le petit déjeuner copieux, avec croque monsieur délicieux, gâteau différent chaque jour.. préparé tous les jours par Didier. Pour notre part, nous y retournerons sûrement et sans hésiter pour un troisième séjour.

Booked the day before arrival, I was welcomed by the owner, a very kind person with whom it is pleasant to converse, who handed me the key to the gate and the room. You are then free to enter and exit at will, as is the convenient private parking adjacent to the entrance. I really liked the place, for its location (just a stone's throw from the ring road that allows you to reach the lake or visit the surrounding valleys), for the tranquility (you sleep peacefully at night) and last but not least, for the 'furry friends' roaming the courtyard who are affectionate :-) Definitely a structure to recommend if you want to explore Lake Como and the surrounding valleys far and wide.

We stayed at B&B L'isola for 2 days with my husband and our daughter. As soon as we arrived, Didier welcomed us with his sweet animals (2 dogs and 2 cats). The place is an old farmhouse immersed in the green countryside that immediately gives a feeling of peace and tranquility. The room is comfortable, fresh, and clean with a bathroom stocked with everything and very well cared for. Didier is an exceptional and kind person, he recommended us a wonderful 'crotto' to go eat in the evening. In the morning, he served us breakfast outside the room, in the ancient cellars, with fresh and homemade products like French toast, juices, jams, a delicious almond cake made by him. There is also a kitchen available to everyone with a fridge to store personal belongings. The structure is in a strategic position, just 2 minutes by car from the main road, and nearby there is the Iperal Fuentes shopping center. I really recommend it because Didier made us feel at home, I hope to go back soon.

Wonderful place located at the end of the Wanderer's Way, impeccable breakfast and the directions given to us for the following day, very precise! Recommended if you like nature and rustic places, away from the town center.

For a 2-day trip with my husband and daughter to Sondrio, I booked on the same day and the lady immediately went out of her way to arrange and clean the room with a crib for the baby. The structure is located in an ancient farmhouse immersed in the greenery of the surrounding countryside. Comfortable and clean rooms with a bathroom stocked with everything and very well taken care of. The managers, exceptional and kind people, take care of all the details and in the morning they prepare a breakfast with fresh and homemade products such as French toast, juices, jams, coffee with a Neapolitan coffee maker, and more, served directly outside the rooms, setting the tables outside the ancient cellars or in the garden. There is also a kitchen available to everyone where you can prepare something if needed, and a fridge to store personal items. The structure is only a 2-minute drive from the main road. Nearby there is the Iperal Fuentes shopping center and other shops, or 2 km away you can relax in the summer on the shores of Lake Como in the Colico area. I highly recommend it.

We had a great time at B&B L'Isola, here hospitality becomes an art! The room is really cozy and special thanks to the furnishing elements like the fireplace and the wood stove. Hangers, hairdryer, towels, extra blankets, soap, everything is provided without needing to ask. You can see that the environment is really designed for the concrete needs of travelers. The exterior is truly amazing, a lush garden in front of both sides of the structure. A truly abundant and quality breakfast was served to us in the courtyard porch in front of a splendid stone tub surrounded by moss and succulent plants. Unique furnishing choices make the exterior of the structure very distinctive with an absolutely chic atmosphere.

La struttura è particolare e di grande fascino, immersa nel verde, la camera è pulita e spaziosa. Buona la colazione (unico suggerimento: mettere qualche brioche/biscotto), simpaticissimo il proprietario! Posizione comodissima per andare a Colico (10 min di auto).

Circondata dalla campagna valtellinese, a sua volta accoccolata in grembo alla montagna, l'Isola di Piantedo è un piccolo gioiello ricavato da un'antica fattoria del XVII secolo conservata in tutta la sua storica autenticità. Dotata di tre graziosissime camere, io e il mio ragazzo abbiamo soggiornato nell'appartamento, squisitamente ammobiliato e confortevole. In tutta l'Isola si avverte un'atmosfera di sospensione dall'esterno. Si entra letteralmente in una dimensione altra, una culla dolcissima. Didier, il gestore, uomo energico e risoluto, gestisce la struttura con spiazzante franchezza e onestà, qualità che hanno destato in me la più incondizionata stima e fiducia. Limpido e autentico come pochi, ricolma il Bed and Breakfast del calore e delle attenzioni che lo rende la perla che è, confezionando colazioni freschissime e genuine (non dimenticherò né le torte né i toast alla francese, strepitosi) e curando con zelo e solerzia cortile e giardino. Non posso omettere inoltre un paio di parole sulla cura degli animali, le due cagnoline, Nina e Polly, e i due gattini, Lilly e Yann, amati e soprattutto rispettati. In poche parole, qui torneremo, fosse solo per dare un saluto a Didier e famiglia!

Abbiamo soggiornato presso il B&B solo per due notti, ma devo dire che l'ospitalità, la colazione e le informazioni date sono state eccellenti! Utilissimi anche i consigli su dove andare a mangiare in zona. Le camere erano pulitissime e arredate di buon gusto. La colazione molto buona e fresca; fatta in casa. Il valore aggiunto l'ha dato Didier, che si è trattenuto a chiacchierare con noi durante la colazione. Simpatico, e socievole, ma mai invadente. Contiamo di tornarci in primavera!

Un angolo di semplicità e di piccole cose!lo descriverei così. la stanza e un abbraccio ed è arredata, personalmente, in maniera semplice e tradizionale. La colazione è gustosa e abbondante! pane, caffè, marmellate e dolci della zona. un ottimo posto per fuggire dal caos senza aspettarsi chissà cosa. ma solo la semplicità del posto e la bellezza dei gesti! lo consiglio vivamente a chiunque!
