Excellent position, close to all main attractions, comfortable beds, quiet room, cleaning every day, very helpful host, Italian breakfast in the café in front of the property, 1 minute walk from the bus station to Fiumicino airport. The bathroom is a little bit small, but has all necessary, so the size is not a big problem. Highly recommend!

Ovidio welcomed us and provided all the necessary instructions to access the hotel smoothly. We arrived at night, but he stayed attentive until we were able to enter and settle into our rooms. During our stay, he behaved like a true gentleman, taking care of every detail of our visits, answering our questions, and meeting our requests. Ovidio was extremely efficient in resolving all our doubts and treated us with great courtesy throughout our stay at the hotel. We 100% recommend staying here. The location is excellent, very central in the city of Rome, and Ovidio is a spectacular person: very kind, cordial, and attentive. He is truly splendid.

Very good experience near St. Angelo castle and close to Vatican, Spanish steps, shopping area and vibrant restaurants street. Host exceeded my expectations. During check-in I received a full package of practical advice. Place is very safe, calm and silent during night. Room was small, cozy and very comfortable. Thank you for hosting!

Great style of accommodation in an impressive building. Very friendly host. The location was perfect to reach Vatican City and Rome city centre. The only thing was the doors were a bit noisy. You could hear other guests coming. Overall, I can recommend it and would come again.

The host is very friendly and pleasant. The accommodation was very quiet and pleasant. The airport bus stop is a minute or two walk away, so it is very close. Also, it was nice to have a supermarket right in front. It takes about 30-40 minutes on foot to the Colosseum and 15 minutes by bus.

We spent seven nights at Marta Guest House on our first visit to Rome. I highly recommend Marta House for the following reasons: Location: The place is very well located due to several reasons. Firstly, it has a direct connection with the airport shuttle, which stops less than 100 meters away. Secondly, the area is quiet with several shops and cafes nearby. Lastly, its proximity to the center, the Vatican, and other places is convenient. We made almost all our trips on foot. The bus and metro are also very close and easy to access. Bedroom: The bedroom was very quiet, clean, and kept at an ideal temperature. We slept very well. The Team: The customer service was very attentive and friendly. We were able to easily receive information via telephone or message regarding any questions we had. We were welcomed with a big smile and given helpful advice for visiting the city. Our host and everyone else were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We had an excellent stay and would like to thank the entire team for their kindness.

Friendly, helpful, clean, convenient, character. Good AC, elevator. My only comment would be that there is just a handheld shower in a tub, rather than a full shower, but that’s what I would expect from a historic building. Loved our stay here!

Excellent location very near the Vatican and many other attractions. We were able to walk almost everywhere. Our host was so helpful, providing us with a detailed map when we arrived, along with recommendations for bus routes and how to get around, places to eat, and things to see and do. Our room faced the courtyard so it was relatively quiet, although the street is not especially busy/noisy. At first we opted not to purchase the breakfast ticket (which was to be used at a cafe across the street) because we wanted to try different places. However, after remembering that Italian breakfast is normally just a pastry and coffee no matter where we went, we opted for the very economical tickets which provided a hot drink and pastry for the two of us for just 4 euros. Without the ticket the same breakfast cost us 9 euros. So do purchase the tickets as you will get the same breakfast for less than half the price. Internet connection was very good here, which was not our experience at many other places we stayed. All around excellent value for the money, and we would definitely return to stay here again.

Nice rooms, next to the river. Marta was really kind and we also got a lot of information from the guy at the reception (traffic, restaurants, maps). Breakfast is for an additional 2 euros/person in the nearby bar...a croissant and a coffee, it was nice but we needed to eat somewhere else too.

A perfect place in a perfect location with a perfect host (thanks Ovidio). Great for strolling around, only a few minutes from St. Peter and Castel Sant'Angelo. A supermarket just on the opposite side of the street is super pleasant and practical. The accommodation was absolutely silent with a room facing an inner courtyard. We had the smallest room, but absolutely sufficient with a good bed/mattress and everything in working condition. We had a great time and we totally recommend it!

It's a wonderful palace very close to Piazza Cavour. You can walk to the Vatican, Navona, Pantheon all in 15 minutes by foot. Ovide is very charming and helpful. The rooms are charming and the house is just magnificent. Rome at its best. Looking forward to come back - Peter (Berlin)

When we arrived at La Maison de Marta, we were amazed by the large wooden door and the majestic entrance. Then an old-fashioned elevator full of charm. Ovidio welcomed us warmly and cheerfully. He took good care of us and helped us well when our flixbus was canceled and we stayed an extra night. He speaks perfect French and advised us on our visits, the route to take... We want to thank him warmly for his kindness and also thank his colleagues who took care of our room. Room with a lot of charm and air conditioning! We felt at home. What a pleasure to have breakfast every morning on the terrace of the Grand Café facing the splendid Piazza Cavour! La Maison de Marta is ideally located, near Castel Sant'Angelo and not far from the Vatican and Piazza Navona. We did all our visits on foot, except for the Colosseum. La Maison de Marta is 30 minutes from the airport by shuttle. We returned to France with stars in our eyes and one thing is certain, we will come back. Ciao!

Great stay. We had the small room, but we were very comfortable, very clean room, functional AC, to recharge before leaving! Ideal neighborhood, away from the tourist crowds and frequented by the Romans. We did everything on foot. Ideal for the Vatican. Breakfasts taken in nearby cafes, it was great! The experience of staying at La Maison de Marta during my trip to Rome was very good: the location is in Patri, close to all the tourist sites of interest. The room for one person was very comfortable, with a double bed and refrigerator. They took details into account to make it comfortable. The attention from the staff was excellent, especially the manager Ovidio, very kind. I recommend this location and I would return immediately.

Excellent location. The manager Ovidio is very kind, always available and attentive to the needs. The room is exactly as shown in the photos. The breakfast at the bar in front is a coffee or cappuccino with a brioche (in my case it was just what I needed). Highly recommended. I will return!

Ovidio has been a great host. Excellent location for walking and seeing beautiful landscapes with a mandatory crossing over the Tiber River. A few meters from Castel Sant'Angelo and the Vatican. Comfortable and cozy room. Good shower with hot water and optimal cleanliness. You can have breakfast at a café 50 meters away that is open every day and at all hours. Bus stop that takes you to Fiumicino in front. Excellent stay.

Excellent experience at La Maison de Marta. It's the second time we go. The personalized attention (from Ovidio and Marta) is spectacular. The price-service ratio is optimal. We can't imagine passing through Rome and not going. Hopefully they can improve the breakfast service and go back to how it was before the pandemic.

We stayed with my husband for five days. The stay was wonderful. The space has everything you need to be comfortable: air conditioning, excellent internet, minibar, safe, not to mention the unbeatable location: quiet, full of places to eat, drink, shop, and close to wherever you want, either walking or by buses a block away, even those going to the airport. Congratulations to Marta for her hospitality, to Sonia for her work and attention, and to Ovidio (who speaks several languages) for everything he did to make our stay perfect: directions, advice, generosity. He loves what he does and that gives an extra touch to the place where he works. As a suggestion: I would not neglect maintenance tasks in some parts of the accommodation that need it due to the age in which it was built, and I would improve breakfast, whether in the hotel or outside. I will definitely recommend it to anyone going to Rome, even to the travel agency where I bought the tickets. Congratulations and, again, thank you! We felt at home.

I was welcomed excellently and felt at home: friendliness, patience, professionalism, correctness, kindness, attention to detail, and a lot of availability. I was really sorry to leave. Note: breakfast is not included but is offered at the affiliated bar San Giusto, just a few steps from the property. Moreover, the bar is well stocked and the croissant is really abundant. Excellent breakfast.

The structure is very convenient, very close to Piazza Navona, Castel Sant’Angelo, San Pietro, a bit of everything. Convenient buses and the Lepanto metro stop, there are excellent restaurants and supermarkets. The room is clean and cozy, the shower is not very comfortable as it is not equipped with a handheld showerhead. The manager and staff are very kind and ready to provide information. We had a great time, we will return.

We stayed three nights at the Maison de Marta. The central location is strategic, in a quiet area, about 10 minutes from the main points of interest (Vatican, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Via Condotti, Piazza di Spagna, etc.) just a few meters from the Sitbus shuttle stop for the direct connection to/from Fiumicino. The room is basic but with all the necessary comforts, quiet. Daily cleaning. Perfect welcome. Ovidio provided us with all the necessary information for getting to more distant destinations from the accommodation. We will definitely return!

The evaluation of the accommodation as a whole was positive. In particular, in the bathroom, there was no towel for the bidet, the toilet paper was not fixed on the appropriate holder but on the handle of the toilet brush (from a hygiene standpoint, this is not ideal). The window handle was not properly fixed and slipped off every time you tried to open it.

We stayed at this B&B for the Coldplay concert. We can only praise the hospitality received from Ovidio. The manager made us feel at home, welcoming us with a smile and offering impeccable service throughout our stay. Super friendly and kind, super helpful. It feels like home. Ovidio was perfect, thanks to him and his tips I was able to visit Rome smoothly, despite the little time available. The building is in a very convenient and strategic location for transport, between trams and buses you can move around easily. Room of the right size and always clean thanks to Sonia. I highly recommend passing by here.

It's the second time I've booked here and once again I had a great time. The location is fantastic and very convenient for walking around, very close to the Lepanto stop. They guided me step by step for the buses, what to visit, etc. On the last day, he even escorted me to the bus stop carrying my suitcase and waiting until I got on. I used the facility for a work commitment, and being practically next to the Court of Cassation, it was a very convenient solution for me. The staff is very kind (Mrs. Marta even waited for me on the street until I arrived, holding a parking space that had become available in the meantime), and the rooms, although small, are well maintained. An optimal solution also for those who would like to spend a few days close to the most touristic destinations of the capital.

Double room of adequate size, except for the rather narrow bathroom, but otherwise the room is livable, especially considering that in Rome you go to the room just to rest. Located in a perfect position and equipped with all the amenities: parking 50 meters away, bar, bus stop, trattorias and supermarkets practically a step away and located in the city center, which allows you to visit everything by walking comfortably. Extremely helpful and kind staff and they accept pets, we had a small dog. Considering all the amenities at hand and the central location, the prices are more than reasonable. I definitely think I will keep this in mind for future trips to the capital of the world.

I believe that the strong points of La Maison de Marta are the kindness, the hospitality, the availability of the managers. These aspects manage to become a priority over everything else, as they are truly unique and special. The furnishings and especially the fixtures are a bit dated and perhaps with limited resources could be improved to offer a better impact, but the floors, bed linens, towels, and bathroom are in order, albeit in their simplicity. The location is very convenient. However, it is not well indicated that the B&B is located inside a building and there are no external signs or signs (they are beyond the gate that is closed in the evening), perhaps this could be easily remedied. I reiterate the invaluable cordiality of the managers (owners?), capable of making you feel truly at home and pampered, not just treated with professionalism (and this really makes a difference!). Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We will never stop recommending your establishment.

Excellent Bed & Breakfast practically in the center, just behind Castel Sant'Angelo and the Court of Cassation, excellent tastefully furnished rooms, friendly and efficient managers. Absolutely to recommend and in case of return to Rome, I will definitely choose La Maison de Marta again! The only small 'defect' is the breakfast that can be had in an affiliated bar and not in the beautiful Bed & Breakfast. Last but not least, they accept pets, which unfortunately many still do not accept, so one more reason to give an excellent rating to the structure!

I stayed three nights at this property with my little girl and I must say I will gladly return. The location is central and convenient to reach the main tourist attractions, with all services, shops, supermarkets, restaurants and bars, subway and bus stops within easy reach. The managers are very helpful, kind and can provide you with all the necessary information. The room is clean and quiet. At night, you don't hear any noise. I would definitely recommend it if you want to visit Rome comfortably!

Excellent location, with a short walk you can reach the Vatican, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, and numerous other tourist destinations. Ovidio is very kind and helpful in explaining how to move around the city and what to visit. The room was spacious and clean, bathroom ok. Thanks to the excellent location, we managed to visit all the main attractions (museums, monuments, etc.) in just 4 days. Highly recommended.

The staff is generally friendly, but the lady who manages it is not. The sink didn't drain water properly, and the towel found was dirty and torn (I reported it to the staff and it was promptly replaced). The toilet paper was placed on the towel holder without a dedicated roll holder. Additionally, there were no shelves for beauty/bathroom accessories. There is a lot of noise at night. Personally, I wouldn't come back.
