La Locanda Cistercense

Highly recommended. Beautiful property recently renovated with small but very nice and well-kept rooms and, above all, equipped with air conditioning in Piazza Duomo, near the beautiful Cistercian Abbey of San Martino al Cimino. Great attention to detail and remarkable cleanliness throughout. Also lovely is the breakfast room on the first floor with tasteful furnishings and high-quality products, with various types of cakes, each better than the last (in particular the 'torta della nonna') and some savory options. The coffee service is excellent. In this regard, I want to thank the ladies who delighted us at breakfast for their friendliness, availability and excellent service: Rosaria and her mother Maddalena. Finally, thanks to Valentina for the care and organization of her property and for the constant attention to guests, from check-in to check-out. Not to be overlooked is the much-appreciated service of constant replenishment of fresh still and sparkling water during this very hot Viterbo summer. Worth mentioning is the excellent restaurant located beneath the B&B that we enjoyed at the Ferragosto lunch, with good dishes, generous portions and reasonable prices.

Kindness, hospitality, attentiveness and care. Qualities embodied by the very sweet Mrs. Eleonora and by the helpful Mrs. Valentina, the inn's owner. A peaceful place where you can rediscover genuine things, with a century-old history and a wonderful atmosphere. A place to try and stay.

We returned for the location, the restaurant and the friendliness of the hosts who, in the meantime, have also very nicely renovated the rooms. We will definitely return. Highly recommended.
