It's a good value. Close to the Colosseum and Roma Termini. It's meant for travelers who are blitzing through Italy. You rent a room and share the kitchen where breakfast is served. Breakfast was good, better than most B&Bs; a great way to start the day with espresso or cappuccino. The hosts were great, which is important if you're traveling in Rome — they helped arrange a transfer to the cruise terminal. We only stayed one night, and I think by staying here we really maximized our time in Rome; we saw most sites in a single day. We just walked out the door and caught any city bus (you can tap with a credit card and it is valid for a few hours). You're not going to get a fancy B&B or hotel, but the location and the hosts make it worth it. There is nowhere to sit with your computer if you're a business traveler. I'd say staying here a night or two is perfect. A few things: no elevator and many stairs from the main street. If you're coming off the bus from Termini, you'll have to carry everything up. It's a family-run B&B; support the locals.

Great location and fantastic host. They were very accommodating and the location is very convenient. 10/10, would recommend. Keep in mind, if you are a big eater for breakfast, you might want to get some more food after as it is a light breakfast.

The room is very comfortable and has many nice amenities. The host, Marco, is super friendly and helpful. The location is near many good restaurants and the metro is not too far. The breakfast is nice. Marco let us help ourselves when we had super early departures. I highly recommend this bed and breakfast.

The good: The property is about 15 minutes of walk from Termini, the central train station. The stops of a few bus routes are nearby. Marco, the host was very nice and a good communicator, both in email and in person. The breakfast included hot coffees, milk, and juices, croissants, toasts, hams, etc. The not-so-good: The window of the "triple" room we had could not practically open so the room air could hardly ventilate and felt stale. The bathroom space is tight and the shower stall is very small.

Communication with Marco was good ahead of and during our stay. He also let us leave our bags while we went for a walk before catching the bus to the airport. We were asked to switch rooms after the first night (stayed two nights) and the larger (triple) room was definitely nicer. Both bathrooms were awkwardly laid out and had some mold issues though and the towels were pretty tired. Breakfast was good - toast, ham and cheese, yogurt, juice, cappuccino, etc. The breakfast table takes up most of the central common space so it can be noisy in the rooms if you are a late riser. Reasonably priced places to stay in Rome are hard to come by so we think this is a good option for one or two nights.

The room had a musty smell until we turned on the air conditioning. Also, I was very concerned that the proprietor asked for cash instead of paying with a credit card. This substantially increased the cost of the room. Breakfast was disappointing. It would have been helpful to have eggs and fruit. Cheese and ham were good.

Marco was absolutely lovely as the host and I felt very safe and comfortable at the A&F Colosseo as a solo young adult female traveler. The room was clean, comfortable, had all the needed amenities, and served exactly its purpose. The BnB is located in the heart of Rome, walking distance from many major historical sites and Roma Termini, which is the train station that takes you directly to the Rome airport.

We really enjoyed our stay at A&F Colosseo. The B&B is situated in an apartment block on a quiet residential street within easy walking distance of all the principal sights in Rome. The main train station (Roma Termini) is only 13 minutes walk away. The metro station (Cavour) is a few minutes walk away. The B&B is kept super clean by the lovely Marco who is a wonderful kind host. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. We slept very well. The en-suite bathroom in our room included a shower cubicle and all the toiletries (soap/shampoo/shower gel/hair conditioner) were provided. The towels, sheets, pillows were all excellent. The breakfast is simple but tasty and abundant! There is toast, ham, cheese, yoghurt, croissants, cereals, coffee, tea etc. No eggs, but this did not bother us. We enjoyed chatting to Marco and other guests at breakfast, it was such a warm and friendly environment. We already miss this place and will definitely be back again at A&F Colosseo.

From before we arrived, we knew we were going to love staying at A&F Colosseo because our host Marco was in contact, introducing himself and the property through words and pictures. Throughout our stay he was a conscientious host, sharing local insight into several parts of our trip; for example, he shared his insider knowledge on how much time we should allot to arrive at the train station before our train's departure. The property was spotless and comfortable with a nice breakfast each morning that Marco arranged around our schedules. The property had several good restaurants nearby, including an ice cream shop (gelataria) that was just a block away. The property was also conveniently located within walking distance of the main train station and sights such as the Colosseum. All of these wonderful things combined with a very reasonable rate - a true gem! We wished we had more time to stay in Rome at the A&F Colosseo and would stay there again. Highly recommend!

Rafael and his wife were an amazing couple. They had our requests waiting on arrival. Rafael translated into English via telephone and enthusiastically advised us on where to dine like locals. He also provided advice on all aspects of travel. The couple lives next door, so they were always on hand to help. \n\nThe accommodation was well equipped with good internet and a fridge, etc. There was even a balcony where one could smoke without having to leave the property. The room was spacious, and we stayed for four nights. The air conditioning was one of the quietest I've ever encountered. \n\nAmongst all the B&Bs I've stayed at, this was one of the best places I found. The couple's hospitality was so exceptional that I felt like tipping them, which I almost never do. \n\nThe usual breakfast was served, consisting of pastries, coffee, hot chocolate, milk, cereal with yogurt, and juice. Nothing was too much trouble for this welcoming couple.

The B&B is located a few meters from Roma Termini, close to all the tourist attractions of Rome that can be reached on foot in a few minutes, with connections to the metro and bus lines. I didn't like the limited space for breakfast, especially because it is practically inside the rooms, as soon as you open the door you find yourself facing the breakfast table, which can cause a bit of noise when there are other people staying and you want to sleep peacefully. The bathroom of the triple room I used was a bit uncomfortable as it is quite small and not very bright. Access to the B&B from the street is via a rather steep staircase, not recommended for elderly people who have to carry suitcases and dangerous when not descending carefully. The service and attitude of the manager Mr. Marcos are very good.

Marco offers great availability. Quiet and central location in the historic center (15 minutes), also reachable on foot. Breakfast is excellent, with sweet and savory options, very good fresh croissants, coffee and juices. Clean room with a kettle, herbal teas and minibar. Bathroom without bidet (I mention it for those who really cannot do without it). I gave the property a 9 for this reason. Various tips about the stay were always excellent at any time of the day. Very good value for money.

Mr. Marco welcomed us with great kindness and made himself available for any problems or needs we might have had. The location of the property is central, with many restaurants and also small supermarkets and shops where you can get everything you need. Breakfast is very good and offers a variety of choices; Mr. Marco is extremely kind and makes himself available to prepare croissants, coffee and cappuccinos. The room is clean and comfortable, with a kettle, tea and herbal teas, and also a small minibar. There is also a smart TV, which allows you to watch Netflix, for example, and spend an evening watching a movie or TV series if you are tired from traveling or from walking a lot and want to relax. My boyfriend and I were very satisfied and we will certainly consider this property the next time we return to Rome.

We stayed at this B&B during our vacation in Rome and had a wonderful time. The location is really perfect: a few steps from Termini station and very close to the Colosseum and the main tourist attractions, so very convenient for those traveling by train who want to visit the city. Host Marco was extremely kind and helpful, flexible with check-in times and always attentive to our needs. Although he was not there in person when we arrived, he allowed us to access the property remotely, making everything very simple. The room was clean, cozy and well organized, with everything we needed (and more). We appreciated the great attention and care in every detail that made our stay very pleasant, such as the presence of shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom and the breakfast, varied and abundant. A very useful touch was also the map of Rome we found in the room, along with the Wi-Fi password. Highly recommended!

I recommend this B&B for its proximity (but not too close) to the station, in a quiet and silent area. Comfortable beds, Wi-Fi, excellent breakfast prepared by Marco who is extremely helpful and welcoming. You can reach everything on foot and there are many Roman trattorias nearby that are worth it. On my next trip to Rome, I will definitely return here.

The property is located in a perfect spot to see all of Rome. Many places are within walking distance, others can be reached by the metro which is very close. The room is comfortable and clean. Very convenient! Less than 10 minutes walking from Termini station. The host was really kind and helpful. When we arrived, he welcomed us in person and helped us carry our bags to the room (there is a flight of stairs before reaching the door of the accommodation). He immediately showed us the room, made us feel at ease and left us a list of places to eat and a map to help us orient ourselves. Later he asked us what time we wanted to have breakfast to be ready to accommodate our requests. He remained available in chat for all our needs. I must say that the quality-price ratio is excellent. In the bathroom, there were towels for hands and face and for the shower, hand soap, a hairdryer, as well as shower shampoo and conditioner. There is a bus, the 75, that passes on the main road and takes you to the Colosseum in 10 minutes. It's a shame about the "packaged" breakfast, although it was very, very rich in both sweet products (cookies, toasted bread, yogurt, jam, and Nutella) and savory products (toasted bread, cold cuts, and cheese slices). I will recommend the property to friends and family.

Structure in good condition in the Monti area, convenient to the train station, metro, and close to various points of interest reachable on foot. The owner is super helpful and friendly, an excellent host! Breakfast ranges from sweet to savory and, upon request, also gluten-free and lactose-free (obviously packaged products but the service is offered). I would definitely come back and recommend it!

Marco, the manager, exquisite, kind, and super helpful even in our most delicate requests (he allowed us to cook in the small kitchen area for our child). The bathroom in the room is a bit small, but needs some improvement in cleanliness. The breakfast is good, but the variety could be increased. The only drawback is that it's very inconvenient for those with a stroller as there is no elevator, there is no entrance in the doorway to leave it, and the door must be fully opened to access. We will definitely come back!

We stayed three days in Rome and stayed at Marco's property. Extremely kind and helpful manager. Abundant breakfast. B&B located in a strategic area a stone's throw from the metro and the Colosseum area. In the evening full of bars and restaurants. I will definitely come back.

In addition to being close to Termini, the metro, and the Colosseum on foot, coming back home after a walk under 30 degrees, in a cool house thanks to the thick walls, in my opinion, is priceless. Small but well organized, in a central location 10 minutes walk from Termini station. The Monti district is quiet and offers excellent restaurants and bars. You can quickly reach the Trevi Fountain area on foot passing by the Quirinale and also by metro. The host is very helpful and makes you feel comfortable.

Excellent location just a few steps from the Colosseum and near Termini station, very spacious, comfortable room, and furnished with excellent taste. Too bad for the absence of a bidet in the bathroom. Marco, the manager, is a very helpful and welcoming person. We stayed in the largest family room and we really enjoyed it. Great location, close to the station, to the metro in two words very central and therefore one can easily make use of all the facilities dedicated to us visitors. Excellent cleanliness and room arrangement. In breakfast, I gave a nine not because it's poor, but as an incentive for overall improvement. However, my judgment is very favorable especially for Marco's meticulousness to whom I give my thanks.
