B&B Alla Casa Sconta

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our four nights staying at Alberto's home. We were lucky enough to be there for Alberto's pizza and prosecco night. We walked into the town centre every day, sometimes twice, which took us around 40 minutes each way. There was the option of the bus, which stopped 400 m away at the bottom of the hill, but walking is the best way to explore a new place. We always felt safe, even at night.

I stayed here with my two children for four nights and we all loved it. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. The pool was ideal for my children (if a little cold for me!). The dog Romeo was a fantastic bonus; he was such a sweet-natured and calm dog, always happy to be fussed over and petted. My kids are already asking when we can return!

We are very happy about finding this nice place, with really friendly owners and a gourmet breakfast. As I read about, this is a pretty peaceful piece of countryside in the city center. I can only suggest booking a room and having the same experience as us! Thank you Roberta and Alberto!

Highly charming and well decorated property. Clean and friendly rooms. Garden might be kempt a little better, but it is a big task for Roberta and Alberto. Pool is great. Bus stop with two lines to the city close by. Parking option only for very small cars but otherwise it should be difficult to find a spot. Highly individual. We loved it!

Very authentic place with good taste.

We spent a week here in May 2023 and really enjoyed our stay. The location is very close to the bus service that provides easy access to the City Centre and beaches. It is a unique home full of character and Roberta and Alberto (as well as the dog Romeo) are wonderful hosts. Highly recommend!

A favorite for this charming B&B where you feel good. Everything is tastefully furnished and the comfort is complete: the beds, the furniture, refrigerator, air conditioning, bathroom. It also has a small pool that refreshed us well and a pleasant terrace to relax and read a book. Breakfast is served on this same terrace. It is included in the price, but extras such as eggs and cheese can be added. The owners are super nice and welcoming. Perfect for a weekend. Perhaps not suitable for people with reduced mobility, given the number of stairs to access it.

I chose Casa Sconta on the advice of a friend I wanted to visit who lives nearby. The exchanges with Alberto and Roberta were very quick, and they looked for the most suitable solution for me, traveling with my three small children. The B&B is in a quiet neighborhood and very well connected to reach the center of Trieste by public transport. The garden is very pleasant, and the house is authentic, tastefully and simply decorated in respect for the old. We stayed in the terrano room, which is very charming and spacious, with a lovely view and very comfortable bedding. The breakfast is very rich, and the coffee is exceptional. Thank you Alberto and Roberta, we had a very beautiful stay.

Very good welcome with a family atmosphere where you quickly feel very comfortable. The city center is within walking distance and there are also very close bus stops. The cleanliness is impeccable and the setting is magnificent. The garden and pool are definitely a great plus if you have children. Our little girl loved the place and playing with the daughters of our hosts. A big thank you to Alberto, Roberta and their daughters!

The accommodation is a lovingly renovated 200-year-old farmhouse. It is located in the countryside but still close to the center (10 min by bike). There is a nice little pool with a garden. For breakfast, we could get some extra dishes for €6.00 per person (fried egg, bruschetta, ham, cheese). As the owner also lives here, we also met his whole family with children and grandchildren. Very friendly and family-oriented hosts!

The B&B Alla Casa Sconta is a particularly charming accommodation: interesting decor and very friendly hosts. It should be noted, however, that the parking space is only suitable for smaller vehicles and that luggage must be carried up many steps to the room.

This accommodation was excellent: it is located about 20 minutes on foot from the train station in the Roiano district, on a small, quiet street, and about 25 minutes on foot from the port. It is an old renovated farmhouse with a beautiful garden and a shared swimming pool. The room with bathroom was spacious, with a very comfortable bed. The kettle, hairdryer, etc. were all available. The breakfast was very tasty; for a small extra charge, there were eggs with sage, olives, and tomatoes, for example. We would definitely come back! Thank you to Roberta and Alberto.

Beautiful air-conditioned rooms; the hosts were very nice; breakfast was good. Since it is a small establishment, we could always swim in the pool and stay in the garden without crowding. Additionally, we had access to wine, lemonade, and water bottles at any time of day or night, which were really reasonable prices. We will definitely come back.

For an overnight stay before our cruise, we found a small paradise here that left no wishes unfulfilled. Upon request, we were even able to rent a parking space for this one night. Upon arrival, we were allowed to refresh ourselves in the pool and the way to the port was easily manageable in 20 minutes. The original Italian breakfast offered by our hosts in the morning was delicious and plentiful. We enjoyed our stay with Roberta and Alberto very much and can recommend this oasis in the city to others.

The room, almost a suite, was lovingly renovated, the hosts very welcoming and with great tips for the stay, the whole atmosphere simply wonderful. Buses are reachable around the corner and so you are quickly in the center. The additionally booked parking lot right next door is a real help, otherwise you would have real difficulties finding one. Restaurants, bars, etc. are reachable at a short distance, so everything for a successful stay is there. Highly recommended!

A very beautiful accommodation with a lot of Italian flair and attention to detail. Everything is lovingly rustic decorated. Very nice owner. Good breakfast, for an extra charge there are even more delicacies. Located in a secluded area, you need a bus or car to get to the center or take a 40-minute walk.

B&B Alla Casa Sconta at its best, welcoming hosts who enjoy conversations with guests, interested but never intrusive. Individual and original atmosphere.

We chose the accommodation because the Convention Center is not far away. After spending the whole day alone, this accommodation was an absolute sanctuary for me! The hosts were extremely kind and nice.

The old stone house with partly old interiors has charm. The beds were very comfortable, the breakfast was meager (cheese, cold cuts, eggs, juice had to be paid extra for). The garden furniture did not invite to linger. The hosts were friendly and helpful.

We stayed in March for 10 days at Alberto and Roberta's CASA SCONTA. We were warmly welcomed and well taken care of. The 'Terrano' apartment was well-equipped and quiet. Two bus lines took us from a nearby bus stop to the center and to other bus lines that ran in the area. Several useful supermarkets, bars, and restaurants were within walking distance. We recommend it and would come back ourselves.

We are absolutely thrilled. The location is very quiet, but not isolated. Bus stop 3 minutes away. The house has been renovated with great attention to detail. We were welcomed by Roberto and Roberta as if we had known each other forever. Breakfast on the terrace was always a fantastic start to the day. For us one of the best B&Bs. We will come back.

We stayed with the children (5/7) for 4 days at Roberta and Alberto's place. The house, the garden, and the hosts are very charming and lovely. The children had a lot of fun in the pool. The location is simply optimal. At night it is very quiet, a bus stop and supermarket are reachable in 2-3 minutes on foot. By bus, you can reach the city center in about 10 minutes. The parking space for our car was in the immediate neighborhood on a secure private property. The house dog is very child-friendly. Our room was equipped with a bathtub, shower, toilet, air conditioning, and kitchenette. Wi-Fi is available in and around the house.

Unfortunately, we only stayed there for 1 night. Totally beautiful and cozy. A little oasis in the midst of the big city of Trieste. Highly recommended.

Owners were simply wonderful. I was alone with a one-year-old child; unfortunately he had a high fever during the night and they were very kind in helping me with the luggage. Very, very nice towards the child. Comfortable and functional pool, quiet location, good-sized room, varied breakfast.

The hosts are very kind and welcoming,and they allowed us to check in earlier than the scheduled time and to park in the area adjacent to the property which,although not reserved,was free. To reach it you need to go up a ramp that is not very wide. To reach the parking on foot from the property you must exit the garden and walk about 50 meters around a house,re-entering its grounds and going up the ramp. It is not very practical if you have forgotten something in the car. Alternatively,there are public parking areas about 500 meters away. The property is charming,an old farmhouse nicely renovated and furnished. The small pool in the garden provides a pleasant moment of relaxation;there are sofas,sun loungers and deck chairs available,as well as shaded spots. The room was comfortable,with air conditioning(there was only one window with a mosquito net,but both openings had blackout blinds for the night). The bathroom,small and added later,is not suitable for people with reduced mobility,but it was equipped with everything. The shower is practical(one part of the taps was not working,but this did not prevent the shower from functioning). Breakfast,included in the price,was plentiful,but it was necessary to inform in advance what you wanted to eat by booking on a slip of paper. It is possible to order additional breakfast items for a fee. Therefore,only the items booked the day before were served. Breakfast was served in the porch. The garden is charming,with many plants(some not very well cared for) and with the grapevine pergola. The distance from the center can be walked in about half an hour,manageable,but in hot weather the route is completely exposed to the sun and on busy roads. Nearby there is an excellent trattoria for a seafood dinner.

We stayed for two nights and I must say we felt very good. The managers are friendly, the services offered are simple but valuable. The structure is decentralized but well connected with buses. Overall, we are satisfied!😊👍

A small green oasis in the city. The owners Alberto and Roberta are very friendly and make the stay feel like family. The property is an ancient renovated farmhouse that keeps the memories of the past. The rooms are clean. Well served by public transport connections to the city center.

A wonderful country house in the city, with fruit trees, pergola, and a lovely pool. Very quiet, twenty minutes walk from the center. Alberto is an interesting and interested person, he gave us valuable advice on what to do and how to move around the city. It's better to inform the structure if you arrive by car to book the parking.

I returned happily to this beautiful property, clean and well-kept. It has the serenity of a country house but in the city, with a nice walk you can reach the city center. The rooms are comfortable and full of charm, the owners very kind and helpful. The garden, the pool, and the overall atmosphere invite relaxation.

A gem you don't expect. Beautiful and particular place, I would say unique in its kind, very welcoming, 20 minutes walk from the historic center. Three hundred meters away there is a bus stop for the center. The owner is very nice, always present and not like those you never see. To recommend.

Albert is a great person and above all authentic. Excellent welcome and excellent quality price.

The hoteliers deserve a rating of 10, which is only a small part of what they deserve. I felt at home. They are people of unique courtesy, kindness, and education. If I had to come back, I would always choose them.

City center reachable on foot with a 15-minute walk but it is possible to take the bus a few steps from the property. Very hospitable and friendly people. We will definitely come back. Well renovated building, I would say almost unique considering the context in which it is located. Very spacious rooms, bathrooms a bit small but clean and functional. Owner always available and courteous. Very close to public transport to the city center, including the tobacco shop where you can buy tickets.

The house is an oasis in the city, with a portico and a front lawn. Very well served by public transport. The owners are very helpful and welcoming. Affordable room cost and furniture and facilities are very much to my liking, old and renovated but still leaving them original. Attention to detail.

Beautiful historic house in the center of Trieste, excellent location, quiet environment and very kind and friendly owners. Parking in the area is a bit difficult but private parking is available upon request for a fee.

I stayed with my family at this B&B. Excellent hospitality, wonderful hosts, I recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a few hours in complete relaxation.

Wonderful, unimaginable oasis in the first outskirts of Trieste, not far from the center, with truly exceptional hosts for hospitality and friendliness. What else to say, you really feel good in the "hidden house".

Wonderful. A special place, unique, a world of peace on a hill while staying in the city. A structure curated in every detail, that makes you go back in time while being pampered by every comfort and by the owners who make you feel at home, welcome you, and offer you an impeccable but never cold service, seasoned with the warmth reserved for friends. One night (but I hope soon more) in an excellent room with a rich, varied breakfast, in a characteristic and well-kept environment.

I stayed at B&B Alla Casa Sconta in October and I recommend it. Despite being just a short walk from the center, it is very quiet and relaxing, well-kept, clean, and welcoming. Alberto, the owner, is very kind and helpful.

Wonderful place, a gem, very beautiful farmhouse, clean and quiet. The hosts are very nice and helpful. In the morning at breakfast they made us find freshly baked homemade bread and bruschetta prepared on the spot. Top! Highly recommended!

A corner of Paradise where we found relaxation and a welcoming and attentive host, followed by a very sweet mascot. Airy, comfortable and clean room equipped with air conditioning. Abundant and tasty breakfast.

The house is located in a neighborhood not far from the center, which can be reached by very punctual and frequent buses in 5 minutes. Even though the neighborhood is not very beautiful at first sight, the B&B Alla Casa Sconta is a magnificent surprise! A stunning and well-kept garden, with a pool (which unfortunately due to the weather we couldn't try), armchairs, benches, and flowers. Upon arrival, the landlady welcomed us wonderfully, and she has always been perfect, kind, helpful but never intrusive! There is a small kitchen with a microwave and a mini-fridge always open, and you immediately feel at home, the furnishings are a gem, everything has been restored to perfection, and at the same time, there is everything you need for an extra comfortable stay (small fridge in the room, kettle with tea and coffee set). Finally, a plentiful breakfast with no particular time restrictions. Last note, we had some inconvenience with the check-in time and the owner was extremely available to meet our needs... what can I say, we hope to come back and we recommend everyone to stay here!

Great welcome and hospitality, charming and quiet structure, perfect to feel at home in the beautiful setting of Trieste!

The structure is located near the station and, with a walk of about 2.5 km, we arrive directly at Piazza Unità d'Italia. For the lazier ones, there is the bus terminal nearby. The owners Alberto and Roberta are truly exquisite people, accompanied by the faithful Romeo (the dog) always open to cuddles. Excellent experience, to be repeated in the future.

Wonderful, forgive the enthusiasm, near the city center incredible place, beautiful simple true real, do you want to see the real Trieste, not the postcards? Come here the owner is an artist.

I generally take a bit of time to choose the accommodation where to stay, in the case of B&B Alla Casa Sconta it was not so: I had no doubts that the structure could satisfy my tastes. A quiet place just a few steps from the Center of Trieste and from SISSA, the institute where I worked. A beautiful ancient house renovated with great care, also suitable for a summer stay having a garden with a pool. What made the stay even more pleasant and interesting was the knowledge and company of Alberto and his wife who were invaluable at all times, making me feel truly at home.
