A Casa de Nono

My wife and I spent five days (four nights) at A Casa da Nono. The room and bathroom were absolutely nice and clean. Gaia, the host, was a nice person, very helpful and friendly. I recommend this place to everyone who would like to stay in a calm, peaceful and quiet environment.

There are enough parking spaces on the public street in front of the house. The public bus stop is a 10-minute walk away and has a direct connection to the city centre. We had a good breakfast with homemade cake and marmalade. The hosts were very kind and friendly.

Very well-kept and exceptionally clean accommodation with lovingly coordinated details. The breakfast is plentiful and fresh. The accommodation has a small refrigerator (not mentioned in the description), and the air conditioning is advantageously placed in the wardrobe area, particularly pleasant when used during the night. Despite the nearby highway, the room remains quiet with the windows closed (the road is noticeable but not really disturbing). The host is friendly; communication works in both Italian and English. A charming feature is the host's animals (chickens, ducks, rabbits, etc.) that roam freely on the property. Parking is available on the street directly in front of or near the accommodation (no reserved spaces; you park where there is space). In the area there are bus stops for trips to Trieste; apps like glimble are also available for this, as well as a bakery and a tobacco shop where, among other things, bus tickets are available. The stay was pleasant and straightforward - a classic bed-and-breakfast experience. I would gladly stay again.

An oasis on the outskirts of Trieste! The rooms and the breakfast room are decorated with loving details. The mix of nostalgia and modern comfort invites you to arrive and feel at home. The whole experience is accompanied by content small animals that roam the adjoining land. Nothing escapes the extremely attentive hostess, and she also conjures up homemade delicacies at the breakfast table. Many thanks again! We felt very comfortable.

A perfect stay: highly recommended! The property is splendid, furnished with exceptional taste and an incredible attention to the smallest details. The cleanliness is truly impeccable. The real highlight is the breakfast: a special mention goes to Gaia, who delighted us every morning with truly exceptional homemade cakes and cookies. Gaia is a delightful person, very kind and always super helpful. Also noteworthy is the beautiful atmosphere of the garden, where in the morning it is possible to admire very cute little animals. We will definitely return!

A small corner of Trieste full of love and care for the history of its family, the territory and the environment. If you like an oasis of calm where every detail is cared for with passion and offered to the guest, who feels welcomed and pampered, this is the right place. The owner, Gaia, as her name already suggests, will welcome you warmly in an environment where wood reigns in all its forms and with an authentic shabby-chic flavor that draws on the roots of her personal history. In the morning, breakfast is the perfect moment to enjoy cakes and biscuits strictly prepared by Gaia, while you can ask for advice about all the treasures Trieste has to offer. Making the experience even more magical is the small garden populated by many farm animals that roam peacefully and make the stay even more relaxing, as if Gaia had the power to stop time, which today runs too fast. A little sheep, several hens and two roosters, the geese and a friendly white rabbit will transport you to a world where you reclaim something increasingly rare: the serenity of finding yourself in a corner of nature, even though you are in the city. The rooms are equipped with every comfort, with excellent space management, a spacious bathroom and a large shower area, all seasoned with great taste.

Great stay, unfortunately only for one night. The owners were kind and helpful. Quiet location, ideal for visiting the city and the surrounding area. Bus stops are nearby, allowing you to visit the beautiful city of Trieste without having to worry about finding parking. Clean property and spacious, tastefully furnished rooms equipped with everything you need. Excellent breakfast. Great value for money. I recommend it.

Very kind and genuine hosts. Cozy and simple. I was looking for something not far from the arena and it is conveniently located.

I must say the welcome was excellent. The property is new and clean. Excellent breakfast with fresh homemade products.

March 2026. New, welcoming and functional property with stylishly furnished rooms. Breakfast was excellent, made with local products. Staff were kind and always available. I highly recommend it for anyone staying in Trieste.

New property, equipped with every comfort and powerful Wi‑Fi. Breakfast is prepared by the owner and includes three cakes, cold cuts, the possibility to have omelettes prepared and an excellent coffee.

What can I say... The room was beautiful, welcoming and clean, the breakfast was excellent, and the owners were courteous and helpful. Great!

Gaia and her family have created a place where beauty, kindness, attention to every detail and the best tourist hospitality are the defining features. But there's more. Gaia is a true entrepreneur and a delightful, genuine person. The breakfast that marks a sweet farewell to this very positive experience is not only abundant but also very genuine: cakes and yogurt are homemade, and so delicious! And when you say goodbye to her, you carry her and the beautiful house where she hosted you in your heart. Her grandparents and the events they have gone through, and continue to go through, in this borderland are able to tell the story of which we are all part. Thank you Gaia and family! Lovely bed and breakfast. I stayed for two nights and felt very comfortable. Quiet place; you sleep really well. The rooms are spacious and furnished in an antique style. The breakfast is excellent, with delicious pastries prepared by the owner and different every day. The owner is very kind and friendly. I recommend it to everyone.
