Shattered our lady's basement

This is a great place but is let down by some very simple oversights. The tiny towels were threadbare. The basement has a damp feeling.

The location is excellent, but it is a basement below ground where there is a strong smell of damp. At night, unfortunately, it is difficult to sleep because there are venues open until 5 a.m. with troublemakers making noise and ringing the intercom, despite earplugs. Simonetta was very kind and available at any hour. If you want to save money, given Bologna's crazy prices, it can be a good compromise.

A really lovely little apartment, perfect for two people. It has everything: the host communicates excellently, is very kind, and everything is spotlessly clean. The location is strategically excellent. There is truly everything you need, truly everything. We had a really pleasant stay. Highly recommended.

Strategic location, everything nearby. The entrance is a bit narrow, but the room is comfortable, cozy and fully equipped. I would definitely return.

Accommodation located on one of the city's main streets: clean, well maintained and spacious. If you need to stay in Bologna, you can go there with your eyes closed. Simonetta is always helpful and welcoming.

Great experience. I stayed for a weekend and the room manager was helpful with every request, even with last-minute changes to the check-in time. The location is incredible, right below the towers, and the building is on a very lively and cheerful street, which I really appreciated. The room was not very clean, but it had every comfort, including a fan that was very useful given the room's underground location; in fact, I think the negative point was the musty smell. For a weekend, however, it is a fully comfortable and suitable room, with a nice bathroom and a very comfortable bed. I would definitely come back if I spent another weekend in Bologna.

Terrible. The property is located in a horrible building, in a basement with very slippery and dangerous stairs, with a very heavy door that makes you lose your balance when you open it and will certainly make you fall if you have luggage. The apartment is really very damp and cold because it is a basement, an environment perfect for salami and not for people; in fact it emits the damp smell of cellars, which is really strong and unpleasant. I tried spraying perfumes and essences, but it does not go away. The basement is really very humid and cold despite the heat pump, which works poorly and inefficiently, and the hotplate in the cooking area does not work, although the owner says otherwise. The shower water is freezing because the boiler probably works poorly and you will not find bath towels, but tiny, worn bidet towels, obviously charged at 30 euros along with the bed sheets, not even laundromat quality but household (always the additional 30 euros). Cleaning is not thorough. Kitchen dishes and pots are dirty and unusable. The non-smart TV does not turn on and does not find channels. Phones in the 'bunker' do not work because there is no signal; you can only use the Wi-Fi. The bed is impossible to use for sleeping and low, at floor level; cold and damp. If you have any physical problems you will not be able to get up from the bed. The only positive thing is that you are in a wonderful area of Bologna, in the historic center, near the university area and the towers, but if you look around a bit you can find better accommodations with little price difference nearby. The owner is really unhelpful. Run, don't think twice.

It is a B&B, but there wasn't even a coffee machine. The cooking utensils were present but all encrusted and dirty, therefore unusable. The cleanliness of the rest of the apartment also left something to be desired: we found a squashed spider on a cushion of the small couch. The bathroom, on the other hand, seemed clean. Great location, and the closing of the small windows insulated well from the external noise of nearby bars. However, the small size of these did not allow adequate air circulation, which not even the ventilation fan managed to compensate for. It is worth mentioning the owner's slightly disorganized behavior at check-in and the feeling that her main concern was money.

A shame about the smell of mold, otherwise everything was very pleasant!

Terrible experience, not to be repeated. We arrived Thursday morning and dropped off our luggage because the room was not ready yet. When we returned, descending the stairs I fell because they were wet without anyone warning of the danger. Fortunately, I only had some bruises. The room was nothing special, the bathroom was leaking water everywhere and the cleanliness needed to be reviewed. The worst part was the linen: six face towels for two, so thin that you can imagine how much they could dry. To heat the room, there was a heat pump that could not manage to heat the small room given the cold days. I appreciated that the owner added some comforters and lent us an electric heater. As the icing on the cake, on Friday night we could not sleep because of the music coming from the upstairs venue. Between the music and the setting up of tables, it was already three in the morning. Moreover, the storage of the venue is next to the door of the room, a constant nuisance. I don't understand how it is possible for people to manage a business without having the slightest understanding of the word hospitality. Failed.

I stayed for two nights in this studio with its particular style. The stone walls from times gone by warmly welcome you. Everything is very clean, said by a person who values cleanliness a lot. The location deserves 10+, it is located under the two Towers, you can quickly access all the wonders of Bologna and shopping is at your fingertips. The room is isolated from outside noise as it is located in a basement. Simonetta, a very kind person, is available to give you tips about Bologna. I will definitely return soon.

Simonetta was caring and very kind. The house is well furnished and perfect for visiting Bologna. I advise against it for people who cannot climb stairs because it is located in a basement. For this reason, noise from the street comes in. However, if you are someone who can adapt to this, you will be very well. Thank you Simonetta for being so supportive and for the advice.
