Description Breakfast
Pozzo di Mezzo is a guest house made from the reclaimed tiles and stones of an old Emiliana farmhouse: the finishing touches, the walls, the doors, the shutters and the gates give the residence a strong handcrafted feel.

Situated in Bologna, 4 kilometres from the historic center, it is an ideal place for those searching for hospitality which combines the intimate, private and welcoming atmosphere typical of a B&B with the discrete, attentive and punctual professionalism of a hotel.

Located in the city of Bologna, 4 kilometres from the walls of the historic center of Porta Santo Stefano, Pozzo di Mezzo is surrounded by the hills of the Parco dei Gessi, which allows guests to enjoy the countryside in the city.

The B&B is a 5-minute walk from Via Toscana where you can find:
restaurants, bars, cinemas, grocery stores, tobacconists, newsagents, pharmacies … and the local Church. Bus stops n. 13 and n. 96 in 15 minutes reach the most beautiful areas of the historic centre. Like all historic centres in Italy, Bologna forbids access to cars from 7. 00 am to 8. 00 pm.

Highly recommended. The perfect home away from home. Loved everything about the place. We booked all 3 rooms and all were top notch. Francesca is an awesome host and made us feel welcomed long before we actually got there. You will not be disappointed.

The B&B Pozzo di Mezzo is superb. If it doesn't bother you that it is a 20-minute bus ride away from the city center (the bus station is nearby and the bus departs frequently) then book it. The house is wonderful, the rooms pretty and very clean. And the owner Francesca is very helpful and charming. Totally can recommend it!

The property was very well appointed and of a high standard throughout with a very pleasant seating area outside. All necessary amenities are close by including a regular bus service. Bologna is a beautiful city that we will visit again.\n\nThe hostess, Francesca, gave us a very warm welcome and provided lots of information about the area which she is so clearly so passionate about, including her own hand drawn maps of the immediate area and one of Bologna itself, which were both very useful. Without doubt she is the most helpful and enthusiastic hostess that we have ever met, but was never intrusive with the advice that she offered.\n\nThank you very much Francesca, we'll see you again.

Impeccable and very clean rooms and Francesca was extremely helpful in helping us find a restaurant where to have dinner on New Year's Eve and she made an effort to call various places that offered à la carte menu instead of the usual New Year's Eve dinner. Delicious pastry breakfast deserves a 10 out of 10; a bit less the prepackaged one on January 1st and for this reason the rating is only 9 (but we were warned in advance). The place is close to a street where you can find everything but to go to the city center (where it is almost impossible to park) you have to take the bus (it's only 15 minutes anyway). Highly recommended and worth coming back.

Exquisite place and far from the chaos for those looking for a bit of tranquility and elegance 10 minutes from the city center, all well served by means of transport and local establishments. Even more exquisite is the owner, of a kindness and unique availability at any time and for anything. Totally recommended.

In the middle of greenery, rustic chic, beautiful outdoor spaces, attention to detail and refined finishes in the room, top hospitality and availability, autonomy, parking. Also appreciated the Nespresso coffee machine in the room. Absolutely satisfied.

What can I say... a wonderful weekend. So many things I liked that I'll try not to digress too much: The Pozzo di Mezzo B&B is very well maintained, it seems new, recently renovated, everything is perfectly in the right place and nice to see. In my opinion, the room photos don't do it justice! Impeccable cleanliness, needless to say. Breakfast: from the website, I didn't understand how a breakfast could cost so much, instead I find it brilliant. If you want to have a coffee with the machine (which is also delicious) and a packaged brioche are included in the price, which I consider low compared to Bologna and what is offered. If you want instead a bakery breakfast that is actually practically a sweet/savory lunch with the best you can find, then it's worth spending more because you won't have lunch for sure, so many things are offered (I'm not joking). Location: it would be perfect if they weren't building on the road to get there, but I say this just for transparency because once you pass the gate, you don't hear any noise and the view isn't affected. And then her: Francesca, a fantastic owner whose aim is to make you enjoy every moment. Super kind and helpful, she seems to know what music you would like to hear as background and what glass of wine you would like to drink. In short, top! I will definitely come back.

Beautiful Bed and Breakfast, excellent location, typical local house, external terracotta floors, very elegant and clean. The hostess who welcomed us upon arrival was super kind. If desired, there is the possibility to have a plentiful breakfast, we felt better than at home! Highly recommended.
