La Piana dei Castagni

We rode the Eurovelo 7 and made a stop for 2 nights at Valeria's. The accommodation is truly dreamy, very clean and well-kept, with a great garden and view. It was by far the best accommodation on our way from Brixen to Florence. It is very easily reachable by bicycle from Modena, and as the next stop, one can easily go to Lake Suviana. Valeria was a wonderful, warm host who personally welcomes you, shows you everything, and immediately treats you with homemade cookies and cappuccino. The breakfast was also super tasty and plentiful (Parma ham, various cheeses, homemade pastries, yogurt, juice, bread, cappuccino…). All in all, truly a perfect accommodation!

Excellent structure nestled in the greenery and, although a bit isolated, still close to all services. Manager up to the task, friendly and ready to provide information for a pleasant stay. Absolutely nothing negative to report. Definitely worth considering for a trip nearby.

My wife and I stayed 3 nights in this beautiful farmhouse, from where you can enjoy a beautiful panorama. Abundant breakfast with genuine products. Comfortable and clean rooms. Valeria, the host, is a wonderful person. An inexhaustible source of information. We had a great time. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Lovely place, ideal for relaxation or as a base for different excursions. Being a bit secluded, do not set Google Maps to the shortest route version to reach it, as it will make you lose yourself in the countryside. Instead, pass Cereglio towards Castel d'Aiano and shortly after Serra Sarzana you will find the signs on the left.

When you leave a chaotic and polluted metropolis and arrive at this beautiful farmhouse, you find clean air, tranquility, and relaxation. The view over the hills is magnificent, and there are many things to see in the surroundings. We had a splendid time. Mrs. Valeria is very kind and patient: she made us feel at home. The environment around is still healthy, fortunately, with fireflies, butterflies, toads, owls, and deer easily visible. A true paradise for nature lovers. We keep a beautiful memory and will definitely come back.
