Bed in Bo Porta San Mamolo

Do not rent from this man. I had agreed to rent this apartment for 2 nights (he has also some other properties, you can recognize them by his phone number). The actual address he gave me for it was a bit different from the one he set on the website, but still close enough to the city center, and the price sounded reasonable. Yesterday, without ever mentioning it before even once, he tried to call me twice to inquire whether I still wanted the room or not. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to pick up either one of the 2 (no more) calls, being that I was graduating, so as you can imagine I was a bit busy during the day. Once I noticed them I tried to contact the owner, he picked up for a few seconds and then turned me down without allowing me to explain anything, not to say that he then proceeded to totally ignore my other attempts to contact him. He left me 2 mail voices (in 2025), and sent me a regular SMS, no whatsapp message or email (which he both had and could have used), just to tell me that, being I didn't answer to his calls, he had all the right to just cancel my reservation, leaving me without any place to stay for the time being, in a totally unilateral way. I found myself without any place to stay out of nowhere, the night before my reservation, just for not answering 2 calls which I wasn't advised I would be receiving. Was I wrong not to answer? Of course, but usually when I make a reservation I don't have any interest in wasting someone else's time, and if I don't plan on using it anymore I notify the interested party myself, but never in my life I would have thought to end up in this scenario especially considering, I can't stress this enough, how nobody told me it would have happened. When this morning the owner finally answered to MY whatsapp messages, discovering for the first time I imagine the existence of such platform and its purpose, he continued defending his choice, in a despicable and very poor italian which didn't really help me understand him, and particularly his right to cancel at the last second a client's booking just for, again, not answering 2 calls. He then also threatened to release my personal data and our private whatsapp conversation, which I advise you, if you are reading, is illegal, talking about an unpolite behavior of mine and basically blaming me for everything, showing no regret whatsoever. Considering all of the above, I heavily advise you not to rent any of this man's properties, not to end up in the same situation, which I can only assume happened to better fit his conveniences, without caring at all about a potential client.

I enjoyed my stay here, had everything I needed and the manager was extremely kind and responsive and even gave me restaurant suggestions. The things I would improve would be the covering of the terrace that was very old and torn, bit of mould at the bottom of the shower basin and the bed that should squeak with every movement. Other than that everything was well equipped for a single traveller like myself and really enjoyed the coffee in the morning.

Comfortable stay at a reasonable price, no issues with anything. Very accommodating and communicative host.

Stay at the top, good communication, VERY clean room, tidied up every day. Decorated with taste, comfortable mattress, spotless bathroom. Coffee machine (with one coffee pod per person) and treats provided. Quiet neighborhood, close to bakeries (where you can have breakfast), restaurants, and bars. In short, I recommend it with my eyes closed!

Room recently renovated in a historic building. The center can be reached in 10 minutes on foot. It is possible to park on blue lines in the parallel street.

We had a great time, the location is perfect and the apartment is equipped with all comforts. We appreciated the convenience of the check-in and the availability of the cleaning lady who was always courteous and kind. Certainly, the accommodation represents an ideal solution for the stay in Bologna.

Pleasant stay! Nice and welcoming B&B. Easy self check-in. Room with characteristic view of the rooftops of Bologna. Well cared for, very clean and equipped with everything needed for a short stay. Design apartment with a charming little terrace on the rooftops of Bologna. I particularly appreciated the completely keyless access - through codes that will be communicated to you shortly before arrival - and the optimization of the indoor spaces. Complimentary coffee and biscuits included in the stay even though breakfast is not provided. Extremely clean and in an optimal position to visit Bologna. Recommended!

Very nice room with a characteristic little terrace among the rooftops of Bologna, clean and with everything needed. Convenient location near the center, we went to a concert at the arena in 10 minutes with electric bicycles. Reserved.

Located a few steps from Piazza Maggiore, in a very quiet area of the city. Very clean double room, with a view over the rooftops of Bologna. The owner is very kind and helpful. We will return.

Very disappointing because the kitchen was unusable. Beautiful to see but without pots to use the induction hob. Practically impossible to park even just to unload luggage. Very expensive compared to the services offered.

Very small but nice and well-kept room, nice balcony overlooking the rooftops. Very convenient self check-in with access codes so you won't need keys for the entire holiday. The owner was very kind. Car parking staveco 6 min. walk. City center 10 minutes walk through the alleys of Bologna.

Very cozy room, well furnished, equipped with various comforts even though it lacked a real wardrobe or chest of drawers to store the clothes that I would have preferred, but there was a stand with hangers, so all in all for a very short stay like mine it was still fine. I had a very good experience, friendly and helpful staff. The check-in instructions were very precise and it was very easy to do it. The location is exceptional.

Beautiful studio, tastefully renovated and very comfortable (much appreciated the offer of sweets and coffee even though breakfast is not included). Quiet and peaceful, it was perfect to work in my free hours from taking care of my son at Rizzoli. Easy to park in the ring just behind the avenues, very pleasant to walk there. Nearby, always under the same portico, you can find an excellent osteria where you eat very well at really honest prices. The host is very kind and helpful, especially considering that I managed to book on the same morning I needed it. I will definitely return if I pass through Bologna for a pleasure trip.

The structure is located in a central area and excellently connected with the city's mobility. Small but modern room equipped with everything necessary. Modern, clean, and functional bathroom. Great balcony overlooking the Bologna neighborhood. The only flaw, which can be fixed, is the quite noisy bed. Overall, an optimal structure for a short stay discovering Bologna.

We stayed one night in this bed and breakfast and were impressed by the kindness and availability of the owner, as well as the excellent location, just a few steps from Piazza Maggiore and the Staveco parking. The room is tidy, clean, and equipped with every comfort. We appreciated the sweets and the coffee machine provided for free, as well as the small balcony, from which you can enjoy a wonderful view of the city rooftops. A thank you to Serena, who was welcoming and understanding towards us. We will definitely come back.

Although breakfast is not included, the organization provides a small self-service, which is nice. Great location, just a few steps away from the most central area of Bologna. Unique structure, but functional. Room access is regulated by efficient push buttons. The room is great (only the bed creaks a bit), the bathroom is perfect. Passed.

Beautiful room, great location, and very helpful and kind manager. The only flaw was the lack of attention to room maintenance: the shower tray was a bit stained and the damaged Velux windows were obstructed, it was not possible to lower it completely.

I highly recommend it, very central from both the city center and the Rizzoli hospital, I needed proximity to the hospital. In the surroundings, you can find everything, even a great osteria right below the house.

Everything is fine as expected.

Quiet and strategic location to reach the Rizzoli Hospital and Piazza Maggiore, both about a fifteen-minute walk away. In the immediate vicinity, there are trattorias, bars/pastry shops for breakfast, and a paid parking lot (Staveco).

Very large room with all the comforts, recommended for its proximity to the center.

Clean, comfortable structure with a view over the rooftops, quiet, residential but at the same time a stone's throw from the center and next to an excellent typical Bolognese osteria. We had the opportunity to stay there twice, the first time in a double room with a loft, more spacious, and the second time in a double room with a balcony, smaller but with a characteristic view. Equipped with a coffee machine with pods, fridge with a bottle of water. Some snacks available. The booking process is fast and if there are any doubts, the very kind Serena will answer you. Very convenient access through the sending of codes on the day of arrival. Nearby it is possible to find parking on the street outside the walls, namely outside Porta d'Azeglio/San Mamolo, in via San Mamolo, for example, or in one of its side streets, in order to avoid at least the ticket for entering the restricted traffic zone. We will return at the first opportunity.

Very well-kept and pleasant apartment, quiet and welcoming, about ten minutes from the center and with a super helpful host. When I visit Bologna, I won't let it slip away!
