This place was spectacular and exceeded our expectations. Francesco is a wonderful host. The room was charming and very spacious. The whole house and property are decorated to perfection and you feel like you are back in time. We did not have a tour for cheese tasting pre-scheduled as we did not want to get up early AGAIN, but Francesco found us the perfect tour starting late morning and it could not have been better. He even joined us on the tour. We can’t say enough about this restored rustic estate and it’s host.

The building is restored with style and everything is done with a good taste - including details in interior and decoration. Large garden is beautiful and it has a stronghold of "Merlos" (Blackbirds). Also an Rose-ringed Parakeet (an introduced species, but well established in many places in Italy) was present. We found the location very convenient as well for day trips to the City and also to the Costellos nearby. Francesco and Angelica were very friendly and helpful. Nothing to complain!

Very good charming and clean B&B with an outstanding nice lady of the house. San Secondo Parmese has a surprisingly nice center with an ancient castle to visit. It is a 30 minutes drive from the autostrada A1 to the B&B.

Francesco and his wife are very kind and a beautiful couple. The rooms were exactly lovely as shown in the pictures. We could find warm hospitality everywhere. The rooms were finely decorated with tasteful furniture, and breakfast was incredibly delicious. We would even say that breakfast we had here was the best meal we had during this trip in Italy. As we wanted more days in Parma, we want to come back to Parma soon again, and this is the place to stay with no doubt.

Nice renovated old-style house, with a big garden with tree under which ones we can rest. The house is close to the center of the town (about 5 minutes by car). The bedroom was clean and the house decorated with old pictures, paintings and poster. I recommand this place.

Propriété magnifique dans un écrin de verdure, proche de l'autoroute et pourtant très calme. Petit déjeuner délicieux et très copieux, produits faits maison (confiture, yogurth), pour tous les goûts (sucré et salé).

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'accueil des propriétaires (parlant français), la chambre, grande, confortable et décorée comme si nous partagions les souvenirs de la famille, et la ferme ancienne, très bien restaurée, à la limite de l'agglomération de Parme. Nous y serions restés plus longtemps si cela avait été possible.

Très bon séjour, le cadre de ce BB est vraiment très chaleureux et calme, c'est vraiment un lieu pour se reposer. Les chambres sont spacieuses très propres et un bien agencées. Le propriétaire est très accueillant et serviable, de plus il nous a indiqué une très bonne adresse pour aller se restaurer. Dés que j'en aurai l'occasion j'y retourne. Bravo.

Le gîte est sympathique, les chambres spacieuses et la propriété est bien entretenue par son propriétaire. Un bel endroit accueillant pour se détendre où nous avons passé un très bon temps. Seul bémol, la liaison un peu laborieuse des transports en commun avec le centre ville de Parme.

Ein gemütliches B&B am Rand von Parma. Auf dem liebevoll sanierten Gutshof mit seinem schönen und gepflegten Garten merkt man nicht viel von der Nähe zur Stadt. Das geräumige Zimmer ist mit antiken Möbeln stilvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet. Zum Frühstück gibt es u. a. selbstgemachten Joghurt, Marmeladen und Plätzchen.

Schönes, bestens restauriertes Haus, mit viel LIebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Sehr gutes Frühstück und gute vor Ort-Betreung. Die Lage ist sehr nah zum Zentrum von Parma, dennoch absolut ruhig. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und stilvoll eingerichtet.

A wonderful farmhouse, immersed in nature, but accessible from main roads. The large room is truly beautiful, I felt comfortable as at home, I needed tranquility, wifi, and fresh air to study, and that's what I got. 10 out of 10 for the mattress and pillow, very comfortable.

Il podere Merlo, oltre ad essere una bellissima struttura dove trovare tutto quello che ci si può aspettare da un soggiorno più o meno lungo in un B&B di qualità, è anche un posto che ti emoziona quando ti rendi conto di trovarti in un’isola felice che ha saputo resistere ad una urbanizzazione selvaggia mantenendo per quanto possibile intatta la sua originale vocazione di podere contadino. Tutto questo lo si può scoprire solo venendo qui e leggendo il bel libretto molto ben documentato che ho trovato in camera e che racconta la storia antica e recente di questo posto davvero speciale. Complimenti a Francesco e Angelica per la loro fatica e grazie della bellissima accoglienza. Francesco e Ivana.

Le ottime recensioni mi hanno portato a Podere Merlo e Francesco ed Angelica le meritano tutte, infatti cordialità e isola felice sono la loro forza. Il Podere è ricco di alberi da frutta, ed in primavera è un tappeto di fiori. La camera è ampia ed arredata con gusto - fantastiche le foto storiche, mi hanno portato indietro nel tempo! -, la pulizia regna sovrana. La colazione ti ruba la linea, primo perché è tutto cucinato da Angelica, dai biscotti di tutti i tipi allo yogurt, passando per il caffè, ma dulcis in fundo le marmellate che ho assaporato tutte con piacere, non perdetevi quella di arance, è Superba! La posizione è ottimale per chi, come noi, arriva con la macchina, a due passi dalla tangenziale ed a cinque minuti dal centro. Tanti consigli da dove parcheggiare per andare in centro a dove gustare la cucina parmense. Lo consiglio vivamente a tutti. Un Podere da sogno ed una marmellata da urlo.

Le magie accadono e per me contano anche quelle che durano un momento, come quando un viaggio di lavoro si trasforma, per un attimo, in una piccola vacanza. A Podere Merlo è successo. Un luogo incantevole, curato (nel dettaglio) da due gentili ospiti che ti accolgono amichevolmente e ti fanno sentire davvero gradito. Una nota speciale alla colazione di Angelica, vorrei che aprisse una pasticceria sotto casa mia. In ultimo, avrei voluto annullare i primi appuntamenti della giornata. Invece ho avuto un'idea migliore e ho salutato Angelica e Francesco con un arrivederci alla prossima vacanza vera.

Sembra tornare all'antico modo di vivere dei contadini che abitavano in passato queste cascine, la presenza del proprietario è molto discreta dando un senso di completa autonomia degli ospiti.

Quiete, stanze ben riscaldate, doccia dal getto caldo e abbondante (alloggiato nell'Antica Soffitta), letto ultra comodo, biancheria da letto e da bagno profumatissima, affaccio sulla tranquilla distesa del podere e colazione fresca e self service. Accoglienza presente, ma non invadente. Nella casa si respira storia e tradizione, le nostre radici, e per questo ringrazio Francesco per l'opera di ristrutturazione conservativa di questo pezzo di storia che ci appartiene e per la sua tenacia nel mantenimento dell'integrità ambientale. Torneremo senz'altro nella bella stagione, quando il podere si esprimerà al meglio. Buon vento Francesco.

Ottima sistemazione a pochi minuti dal centro di Parma. Casolare tipico del territorio padano mantenuto e rivitalizzato da 2 persone molto attente ai particolari e alle tematiche ambientali. Gran bel giardino spazioso e pieno di piante, molto romantica la soffitta dove abbiamo alloggiato, piena di ricordi e oggetti di un tempo.

Ho soggiornato in questa struttura durante un breve weekend in occasione della festa del prosciutto di Parma. Antico casale ristrutturato in maniera impeccabile appena fuori il centro città immerso nella campagna e facilmente raggiungibile. Se vogliamo trovare un difetto la vista su un lato delle carceri che però non diminuiscono la sensazione di trovarsi in mezzo alla natura. Ho avuto la fortuna di prenotare l'antica soffitta: un'enorme camera finemente arredata con bagno spaziosissimo e curata nei minimi particolari. Per quello che mi riguarda la colazione è davvero notevole, servita in una sala pittoresca nella quale si può trovare una scelta di prodotti per ogni tipo di esigenza. Una nota di merito va fatta ai titolari gentilissimi e professionali che fanno si che la scelta di questa location sia più che consigliata!

Fantastico. Il luogo è un paradiso a 5' da Parma. Le camere sono bellissime con dettagli curatissimi e un' atmosfera molto romantica. La colazione abbondantissima è deliziosa, servita in una stanza simpatica ed accogliente. Angelica e Francesco sono due splendidi padroni di casa. Grazie.

Bellissimo. Non il solito B&B ricavato in stanzette anguste di appartamenti delle strette vie cittadine dove nemmeno si può parcheggiare. Qui abbiamo trovato camere ampie e luminose in ambienti d'epoca carichi di emozioni e di storia immersi in un grande e silenzioso parco. Colazione da gourmet, parcheggio per l'auto nel cortile privato e una WIFI che va a bomba. Prezzo corretto. Torneremo.

Podere Merlo è un posto meraviglioso dove abbiamo trascorso un fine settimana molto rilassante. È un angolo di campagna in città (a pochissimi minuti dal centro storico di Parma) in cui pace e silenzio si fondono con il sapore antico della storia di questo casale. Le camere sono ampie e pulite. La colazione fatta in casa con torte, pasticcini, marmellate, yogurt e frutta fresca è davvero degna di lode. E i proprietari sono cortesi e disponibili. Insomma un posto in cui torneremo sicuramente.

Immerso nel verde a pochissimi km da Parma, Francesco e Angelica ti fanno sentire a tuo agio già dall'arrivo. Non ha problemi di parcheggio (cosa trovata negli altri B&B) e la chiave è un codice così si è sempre liberi. Colazione abbondante.

Era un po' che volevo venire in questo b&b, e questa volta ci sono riuscita. Il posto è incantevole, arredato con cura. La disponibilità del padrone di casa è spettacolare. Tre pecche, di poco conto: 1) Non è ben segnalato fuori sulla statale. Dovrebbero fare un'insegna più visibile, magari con una luce che la illumini. 2) Un frigorifero piccolo, tipo ufficio, in camera. Non hai la possibilità di avere dell'acqua fresca e in questi giorni che fa caldissimo l'acqua fresca è vitale. 3) Un televisore in camera. Chi come me non dorme di notte il televisore fa compagnia.

Ho soggiornato due giorni in questo B&B per lavoro e non volevo essere schiava della ZTL del centro di Parma, essendo automunita. Così ho trovato questo compromesso a pochi km dal centro. Il luogo è fuori dal tempo, immerso nel verde. L'antico podere è stato ristrutturato con grande gusto. La camera in cui ho soggiornato (quella della stufa di terracotta) è molto ampia e la rete wireless funziona molto bene. Alto il livello di pulizia degli ambienti. Ottima anche la colazione, che si consuma nella bella soffitta del podere. Il proprietario è una persona molto accogliente e attenta alle esigenze dei clienti. Lo consiglierei assolutamente.
