There are places that host you and places that welcome you, but the "Domus Mare Cilento" in Agropoli does something even greater: it heals your soul.
At the entrance of the property there is a small plaque that reads "Inveni portum" (I have found the port). It is not just a learned quotation, it is a real promise. For anyone who arrives here, perhaps tired from hardships, the chaos or the "storms" of everyday life, this house proves to be exactly that safe, stable and serene refuge that the Latin phrase suggests.
None of this would be possible without the hosts, Anna and her husband Carlo. Their hospitality is made of a great humanity that today is a rare commodity. Carlo, with the sensitivity and gentleness typical of someone who dedicated his professional life to children as a pediatrician (now retired), and Anna, with her grace and her careful attention to every little detail, manage to make you feel not like a guest, but like a deeply wanted member of the family.
The property is wonderful, immersed in regenerating quiet and cared for with a love that can be felt in every corner.
Leaving here was difficult, but we carry with us the warmth of their smiles and the certainty of having finally found our "safe harbor". Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, we can't wait to return home to you.
