The interior looks very beautiful and the location is great. Our bedroom was much smaller than expected and had an extremely uncomfortable bed. The mattress was very hard and, although it looked like a double bed, it was actually two single beds pushed together so that the middle of the bed was impossible to sleep in. I had such a poor night's sleep that I would not stay here again.

We really loved this bed and breakfast. We feel very fortunate to having been able to enjoy their larger suite. The hosts could not have been more gracious or accommodating. Everything worked well, and as a small and truly family owned and run business it provided a welcoming retreat after every day and a kind start for each morning. It was a treat to spend time in such an old yet well kept and beautiful premises. Service was always kind and accommodating without ever interfering. On top of it, it is a historical building and it gives one the opportunity. We truly recommend this place in all regards.

Beautiful historic property in the historical center of Naples that preserves the history of the city. Ideally located for exploring Spaccanapoli sights including the National Archeology Museum, the Veiled Christ, Via Toledo, the ferry port to Sorrento, and typical restaurants where you can find the classic Neapolitan pizzas. Our room Lusso was spectacularly restored back to its 1800 glory, with comfortable bed, compact but modern bath, and two balconies overlooking Via Toledo. Nice breakfast with homemade cakes, yogurt and fruit. Friendly staff who arranged pickup and dropoff at the train station and airport. Would highly recommend.

The bathroom smelled really badly, I had to sleep with the bathroom door closed and the window open. I do not know why, perhaps old pipes in this part of the city, but the smell was so bad that it permeated into my nose, I had to get air freshener and candles myself just to tolerate it. On a good note, the room was nice, mine faced the courtyard so it was quiet at night. The hotel is also right in the middle of Naples and you can walk to shops, restaurants, and bars within 10/15 minutes. I could hear someone playing the piano in the afternoons which was soothing. The train and bus station are also very close. I would recommend for a weekend stay only, take off and go south to Sorrento and Amalfi to see the Italian coast.

We loved the historic nature of this property, which was nicely preserved with modern comforts. We were very comfortable. Our breakfast preferences were remembered each day, and they were delicious. The only tricky part was figuring out how to access the property upon arrival, as there were no clear instructions, but we sorted that out when we met some employees outside the door, and all was fine. The proximity to the metro, fine dining, and historic sights was excellent.

Unlike most similar hotels in Naples, Carafa di Maddaloni has preserved the unique character of Naples design and charm. The property is beautiful and enhances the aesthetic experience of the city. Most other hotels in the area have opted for a bland and soulless cheap 'modern' design, whereas the people of Carafa di Maddaloni have preserved its original architecture, which is admirable. Its location is also great as it is situated in the best area to explore the city, right on the border between the Centro Storico and the Spanish Quarter. The people were very hospitable and kind and catered to all our needs. Would certainly stay again next time I visit the city.

Fiorella is a great host, very friendly and welcoming. The place is just amazing, right in the heart of Naples. Our room was huge, with a beautiful painted ceiling and an ancient feel. The piano room is lovely (you may have some piano lessons going on during your stay), the breakfast room is very comfortable. The hall of the building is already beautiful (even though there were works going on). I highly recommend this place for the location, the great feel, and the welcoming attention brought to guests.

I can not even begin to describe how incredible this place is. If you are tempted to book the largest room, do it. It is well worth the price and so beautiful. The host is helpful and everything is curated to create a perfect experience. I have already made the decision to return to Napoli because of the location and sheer perfection of this place.

It is a surprising, dark and romantic place: one expects to meet the ghosts of musicians. You can hear music lessons in the morning and the staff is charming. Our room was a bit disappointing, dark and overlooking the stairs. You need to ask for the brighter rooms. I would have preferred a buffet breakfast rather than table service.

This accommodation is located in one of the old palaces of Naples, right in the heart of the historic center, along Via Toledo and just a few steps from the Spanish Quarters. It is ideally situated to visit the historic city center, take the metro line 1 at the Piazza Dante station (5 minutes on foot) and the Montesanto station of line 2 which allows direct access to Pompeii. More than an accommodation, it is a journey through time.

Very nice blue room, spacious, overlooking the lively and noisy Via Toledo with 2 balconies. Thanks to the double-glazed windows and the impressive height and thickness of the interior shutters, we slept very well because we didn't hear any noise from the street. A haven of peace. This palace is very well located in the heart of old Naples. In the evening, there are many small restaurants, good and friendly, to visit on foot. Our only disappointment was the breakfast that did not correspond to what the owner announced :( we didn't see a single croissant, no fresh bread, only 3 small slices of industrial bread. No homemade jam but only small commercial containers. The coffee is served sparingly. Served from 8am to 9am, not very practical! Otherwise, overall we are happy to have chosen this palace for our stay and the staff is very dedicated.

Excellent location in the heart of Naples (and near via Toledo, convenient for taxis), quiet at night, comfortable (good bedding), warm welcome in French, good breakfast (take the "salty" with scrambled eggs and salad to start a day of visits!), furniture and decorations of an Italian palace with a grand piano in the living room for music lovers: this immediately sets the mood for staying and visiting! So very good value for money. The hostesses obviously give good advice on restaurants and call the taxi for the return so you don't get ripped off! We were also able to leave our luggage on the last day before leaving in the late afternoon.

I had the pleasure of staying at Caraffa di Maddaloni in Naples and I was very satisfied. The location is excellent, close to the center and services, and the rooms are in line with the style of the historic 16th-century building. Furthermore, the B&B is very clean and well-maintained. The owners are serious people and the housekeeper is always available. \nOverall, I highly recommend the B&B to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay in Naples.
