"B&B Kalinikta" is a residence with unique, original style.

Description was largely misleading or exaggerated. The location is not really seaside; the beach is still 400 m away and reachable only via a hard-to-find small narrow tunnel under the railway. The garden was a small messy area, very different from the pictures. We had missed the complicated breakfast information at the end of the B&B description, and on arrival we were not told about the breakfast options but sent 600 m to a bar and limited to one coffee and one cake, with any extras to be paid at the bar. This created an unpleasant situation because the B&B owner had told us we could order what we wanted. Such restrictions should be explained immediately at the top of the listing, instead of simply saying 'abundant breakfast'.

Caro Arie, in 16 anni di attività solo la tua recensione è forviante o esagerata e ti spiego perché. MARE Non è scritto da nessuna parte che la posizione è sul mare e poi avresti potuto cliccare sulla mappa per capire la posizione. La distanza dal mare è di 300 metri (sono circa 4/6 minuti a piedi). In questi 300 metri c’è un sottopassaggio comunale di circa 3 metri lungo e largo due perché sopra ci passa il treno. Il sottopassaggio non l’ho costruito io ma credo sia stato il comune o ferrovia italiane. Quindi se per te è piccolo scrivi un’email a loro. GIARDINO Forse hai confuso il giardino con il patio esterno privato delle camere. Il giardino lo vedi nelle foto ed è molto ampio. Il patio esterno privato lo vedi anche nelle foto di Ulisse e Itaca. Cosa molto importante. Il patio esterno viene allestito da giugno a settembre. A maggio, quando tu hai soggiornato, il patio non era allestito perché non era il periodo. COLAZIONE La colazione è descritta bene. La tua affermazione “POTEVAMO ORDINARE QUELLO CHE VOLEVAMO” deve essere vista però in una condizione di persone che consumano una normale colazione perché se per esempio, per due persone, tu ordini 4 cappuccini + 4 cornetti + 2 spremute di arancia e altro…. se permetti l’extra lo devi pagare tu altrimenti se voglio considerare nel pernottamento una colazione abbondante sono costretto ad aumentare il prezzo ma poi c’è il cliente che consuma solo un caffè ed un cornetto e si lamenta perché il prezzo della camera è troppo alto perché lui fa una piccolissima colazione. Detto ciò noi gestori…che pesci dobbiamo prendere??????????? In questi anni e dopo varie esperienze, per accontentare tutti ho deciso di inserire nel prezzo della camera una colazione come nella descrizione cioè una colazione italiana BASE con un budget per due persone che arriva fino a 7€ che possa soddisfare il cliente ma, se il cliente ha il desiderio di mangiare altro, lo può fare e l’eventuale extra lo paga lui. Se desideravi la colazione DELUXE (abbondante dolce o salata oppure dolce/salata) avresti dovuto ordinarla ed il costo non è compreso nel prezzo del pernottamento. SALUTI Spero di essere stato chiaro. Ad ogni modo grazie per aver scelto il mio B&B e grazie per la tua recensione perché mi dà la possibiità di imparare ogni giorno.

We were bike packing in Calabria with 5 friends and we stayed at B&B Kalinikta for 2 nights. Very nice place, beautiful rooms, delicious breakfast, nice garden and a safe place to put our bicycles. The owners, a musician and an American actress from New York, were very kind and interesting people. They know Locri very well and recommended us a restaurant and pizzeria that were really great. For me, this was the best stay during our 14-day bike packing trip in Calabria.

Nice welcome by the family. Well located with regard to the beach and the center although Locri is not so exciting. Excellent breakfast with homemade products. The bathroom was a little bit small.

Taste, creativity and harmony in a pleasant environment where we could rest on a very hot day, but above all thanks to the invaluable information to further enrich our stop: unfortunately the time available was short, but certainly the stay has helped plan a return. I stayed with my sister in this establishment. The location is well cared for in every detail, very clean, and decorated in an extremely minimal chic way, fantastic! Rarely have I felt at home, even managing to walk barefoot (a sign of extreme cleanliness sensation). Massimo, the owner of the B&B, and his family manage to give you warmth and welcome.
