It was nice and good.

The only reason it was not perfect was that the internet was poor. It said there were three bars, but we had problems connecting, particularly in the downstairs room. The host was super flexible, friendly, and communicative.

Very beautiful place in the Sasi. It's near to all historical monuments and it's in a quiet place.

My partner and I enjoyed the convenient location of the bnb and especially the beautiful view from the terrace. We only had difficulties with unlocking the door, but we got the hang of it after awhile. The host was very helpful and responsive. Highly recommend this place!

Excellent value for a terrific place. Perfect location. Spacious, comfortable room (seems like all new very good furniture) with a great coffee maker and great coffee, a wine fridge (!), and a good view of the town. Lovely terrace. Charming host Guido took lots of time to explain everything to see (and provided a way better map than the one from the tourist office) recommendations of where to eat, and went way above and beyond to help me in a couple of situations.

Wow, what a location, what a view, what a comfortable newly remodeled accommodation. It is located in the best part of the historical center, right by the trail to the Tibetan bridge, and 1 minute drive from the outskirts where you can park for free on the street (you can drive inside the historical center only until 10am, so time your arrival/departure well to drop off/pick up your luggage and leave the center on time, otherwise you will have to walk more than 10 minutes... downhill on arrival but uphill on departure... prefer a backpack over a trolley, if you can). We stayed in the top room with the terrace, overlooking the canyon. It was quiet and private. We used the shared kitchen which has everything you need (ask the host to show you how to operate the electric stove because I could not figure out the directions, my fault). The summer day was hot but the room stayed breezy and cool, we did not even turn on the AC. We woke up one hour before sunrise and hiked on the opposite side of the canyon to capture Matera with the street lights still on, and then at sunrise—best time, so much better than sunset. We are avid hikers but the trails have ZERO signs and are impossible to navigate, so unfortunately, you have to hire a guide for some serious exploring in the Murgia region—Aldo Chietera can help you, look him up online. Matera and the Murgia are amazing. If you can, add 2 nights in Polignano a Mare, the best pair, the rest of Puglia was not as memorable. Next time, we'll explore Basilicata more, with the ferrata trails and trekking.

Sophie Bertrand stayed at 'Madonna degli Angeli'. Serena is very helpful for any information. She guided me very well to the accommodation. The latter has a magnificent view, is very clean and warmly decorated. Good breakfast (just missing a hint of savory (cheese/local ham)).

Exceptional welcome from the owner, delicate and cultured, who picked us up at the train station, took us into the Sassi from the most beautiful viewpoint and gave us a lot of explanations. Apartment with terrace, superb view, very well located, perfect for enjoying Matera.

The accommodation located at the foot of the Sassi impressed us. We got a good impression of the original life in these buildings. We were there at the beginning of May for 2 nights. Our friendly host Guido was indispensable in helping us to park our car conveniently and to drive us with our luggage to the area of the old town accessible only to residents. Furthermore, he gave us valuable tips on parking and our tour guide, with whom we could visit the old town in the Sassi on the first day and on the second day the Murgia located on the other side of the valley with the ancient churches in the caves. The experiences in Matera were a highlight of our trip. Thank you very much.

The location of the property is excellent, with a wonderful view of the Sassi. The room with a terrace is large, but the bathroom is quite small (there is no bidet). The room is equipped with air conditioning, a hairdryer, towels and soaps. It is possible to use the shared kitchen.

Great welcome and explanations, the property is in a great location, renovated and well equipped. We had a wonderful time!

A beautiful structure at the foot of Sasso Barisano and very convenient for visiting the whole city on foot. Just around the corner are the first restaurants, however, the main noise is the chirping of birds that wakes you up in the morning. Room with terrace quite small, but the view over the Parco della Murgia is priceless and turning back you can see all of Sasso up to the cathedral. A nice and spacious room for 4 people, furnished with care: two beds are on the loft accessible by a spiral staircase. Margherita, the owner, is unique and invaluable in her volcanic nature.

Exceptional welcome. The house is located at the beginning of Sasso Barisano in an excellent position. We stayed in the room with the terrace with a fabulous view. An important detail that is not always taken for granted is that the bed was very comfortable. We slept like stones.

A gem in the center of this wonderful city.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Madonna degli Angeli B&B for two nights and our stay was fantastic. The information from the owners was excellent. The location of the house is fantastic, close to everything with a view of the famous gorge. The air conditioning was a bit noisy. For this reason, I would recommend using earplugs at night. We love Matera!

We stayed one night as 2 couples. Very beautiful and characteristic structure in the immediate vicinity of the center. Very clean, comfortable, very kind and helpful manager, recommended without reservations.

Really excellent structure for those who want to easily visit Matera! Immersed in the Sassi it enjoys a beautiful view! We had a great time and everything was perfect! One advice for travelers, prepare a small backpack with everything you need to spend the night because reaching the structure with a suitcase is very complicated (because it is precisely immersed in the Sassi of Matera and with streets full of stairs and not easy to transport the suitcase).

Located in Sasso Barisano in front of the ravine. The structure is beautiful, typical tuff with a vaulted ceiling, composed of three rooms, with a bathroom, completely independent and a well-equipped shared living room/kitchen where you can prepare breakfast and meals if you wish. Extremely clean, functional and refined furnishings. The very careful renovation has created pleasant environments that combine tradition and modernity. Excellent management of all phases: booking, reception, etc. It is in a restricted traffic area so we were accompanied by the host by car. Great availability even in dealing with a small personal problem. Super!

In the heart of the most authentic Matera, with a spectacular view of one of the most beautiful cities in the world. Your host is the president of the B&B Association of Matera, as well as a professor and tour guide, able to recommend the most hidden itineraries, the must-see events, and the most interesting places outside of the overly touristy ones.

Great location and fully functional services. Maximum availability of the manager who provided us with important information for visiting the city.

We stayed at the Madonna degli Angeli Holiday Home in Matera and had a great time! The location is good, perfect for exploring the city on foot and at the same time not too central so there is a lot of tranquility. Our room was the one with the terrace that has a spectacular view of the 'sassi' and the mountains surrounding Matera. The kitchen is shared with the other rooms but has everything you need. Highly recommended, we will definitely come back!

The location of the structure is excellent. The lady who welcomed me is kind and helpful. The room is beautiful and very spacious; the kitchen area is well equipped and functional.

Two dreamy days in the beautiful Madonna degli Angeli! The structure is very welcoming, clean, and in the heart of the city center. The host was extremely kind and provided us with the support needed to make our stay perfect.

Beautiful room, both the bedroom and the bathroom are spacious with high ceilings, clean facility and in a central location. Guido was very helpful and gave us various indications about Madonna degli Angeli.

It is the group of houses that is first presented to visitors coming down towards Sasso Barisano from the church of St. Augustine. A 4-level structure well furnished, with taste and practicality, using modern solutions such as the water dispenser and offering brand new bathrooms. The manager is very kind and helpful. All at a very competitive price for Matera and the surroundings.

Truly recommendable, excellent location a stone's throw from the central points of the Sassi. Spacious, clean and comfortable room. Noteworthy, the friendliness and helpfulness of the manager, who promptly came to pick us up by car outside the ZTL area, taking us to the b&b, giving us advice on the best places to see (and how to get there) and on the must-see photographic spots, marking everything on the map for us. After check out, he brought us back to our car. Top!

Very clean structure, very nice and unique in the typical houses of Matera. Convenient to walk around the city through its characteristic streets. Very kind host, reserved a free parking spot for us, then accompanied us with his car to the B&B. He booked a tour with a guide for us... Giulio exceptional guide. I would highly recommend this structure.

Beautiful Bed and Breakfast recently renovated in the heart of the historic center of Matera (Sasso Barisano) with a spectacular view of the Murgia. Guido, the manager, was super kind and provided shuttle service from the parking lot to the property and back, also acting as a tour guide. The only downside was the lack of breakfast. However, the room was large and beautiful.

An ancient house in 'Civita' allows you to comfortably visit the whole city and wake up to the extraordinary panorama of the ravine, the stream that flows deep in a gorge, with the necropolis above. The manager, Guido, was extremely courteous and helpful. Truly an excellent choice, which I recommend for those who intend to visit Matera.

We were welcomed by Federica, who was extremely kind and helpful during our stay, providing us with information about the city and personally accompanying us to the facility, considering that the B&B is located in a ZTL area. Highly recommended for living a unique experience and feeling part of the Sassi.

Strategically located structure, excellent value for money, helpful and attentive managers to guests' needs. The structure is located in the 'sassi', strategically positioned to visit the city, but at the same time close to the area outside the ZTL where you can park your car peacefully. After suggesting where to park, the owners accompanied us to the structure in their car. The stay in the loft room was pleasant. The room has been recently renovated with particular attention and respect for the historical significance of the place. The vaulted environment is divided into three areas: the main bedroom, the bathroom (very spacious), and a walk-in closet from which you access the loft via a spiral staircase. There is also a common kitchen available to guests in the different rooms. Highly recommended and rated full marks.

We stayed at this splendid property on July 14 and 15, Mr. Guido welcomed us magnificently giving us valuable advice, always at our disposal. We can safely say it is a fantastic property (with a beautiful terrace at our exclusive disposal).\nShort unforgettable holiday.

The structure enjoys an enviable position: at the beginning of the pedestrian area with a breathtaking view. The premises are extremely clean and meticulously cared for. The manager Guido's attention to the guest is absolute and discreet: from the taxi service to allow the visitor's car to be parked in the permitted area, to the knowledge as a guide to face a conscious visit. The room with a private terrace is the cherry on top of an already perfect experience.

Very clean and well-kept environment, both the structure and the staff are very welcoming. Margherita was very kind and helpful, she gave us excellent advice and made our stay in Matera unforgettable.

We stayed three nights in the room with the (huge) terrace that every morning gave us a breathtaking view of the ravine. The location is excellent and convenient for unloading/loading luggage (according to the ZTL hours). The owner is very helpful and friendly, from our arrival he gave us an overview of the main attractions and information for the guided tour of the Sassi. We hope to return soon because it was a wonderful stay!

I can only give a full 10 to this property. The owner was extremely kind, he kept a free parking just outside the entrance of the Sasso Barisano and drove us to the property with his car. He provided us with all the necessary information to visit the city. The room was very large, brand new, the bathroom with a brand new shower. But the pearl was the terrace, it really stole my heart. Congratulations for the bed & breakfast and especially for your wonderful Matera, one of the most beautiful cities in the world!

Everything spectacular from the city to the 'Madonna degli Angeli' structure and the owner.

We spent two days in Matera. Guido was very kind, he checked us in early. The room is really beautiful, furnished with an elegant style, clean, and the location is excellent. Absolutely recommended.

Located in the Civita between the Sassi Barisano and Caveoso and close to the road, the accommodation and structure are really very beautiful and practical. Moreover, a detail not to be overlooked, even though the room was without air conditioning, fresh air came from the Gravina at night.

The structure is beautiful inside, clean, and with modern furnishings. The location is very good for moving around the Sassi and in a few minutes on foot, you reach the historic center.
