Absolutely amazing B&B in the Sassi part of Matera, with spacious rooms partly in caves, very comfortable (in spite of lots of steps) and clean. The restaurant serves local dishes outside in the yard or inside, the staff is very friendly and helpful, they even have a local magician, who comes to have a meal and performs his tricks, especially when there are some children present. Highly recommended.

We stayed one night in the suite. The room is very spacious, clean, and the furnishings represent the right compromise between comfort and respect for the layout of the places. It is one of the most beautiful rooms we have ever stayed in. The staff is friendly and kind and the breakfast is very good, with local homemade products for both sweet and savory.

Two days and two nights in the heart of the Sasso Caveoso in Matera: a wonderful experience during a motorcycle trip. Le Dodici Lune is a place where you "feel" like you are actually inside the truest nature of the city of Matera. I recommend this property wholeheartedly to anyone.

We couldn't have hoped for better. We lived in the same environments as the shepherds of the Sassi, the urban agglomeration used by poor people to survive with their animals: donkeys, pigs, chickens, as described by the tour guide on our walk in the city of Matera. An experience not to be missed.

We stayed on the 15th and 16th of December 2018. Enchanting place, all perfect, abundant and quality breakfast (sweet and savory). The managers are friendly, helpful, beautiful, and funny. Unique place in the world. I didn't give a 10 because the signage needs improvement (first of all a nice big sign in front of the parking lot) and then you should start to indicate the road to get to the B&B before the ZTL. Maybe I'm a bit picky, but if I can help make everything perfect, I think it can only please you. Highly recommended, Merry Christmas.

Very welcoming staff, very beautiful and characteristic structure. Recommended for families. There are some stairs to reach it, but in Matera there are many, so it did not pose any problem for us. Very clean rooms and a very good breakfast with homemade products (cakes and cookies).
