Our B&B is located at Castro Marina district of Castro a short distance from the sea ideal for wellness, with generous spa waters and facilities (Terme), in an area of great archaeological and architectural merit, in a location with a spectacular view. "L'Orizzonte" is designed with taste, refinement and pure attention to detail, a residence with unique, original style.

Our location and the surrounding area offer our guests a chance to, enjoy and buy local artisan products, explore cultural events and exhibitions.
Nearby our guests will find several monuments and famous places. Remember that just only 350 m away there is the 'Cattedrale'.

We believe that breakfast is an important part of our B&B, in fact, the order in which the two words are listed is purely chronological (first you sleep, then you have breakfast) and not based on importance. Both aspects have the same value and we take particular care in providing a high-quality breakfast service for the pleasure of our guests. We serve a rich and carefully prepared breakfast, recognized by our clients as a high-level service. Every morning, we prepare croissants and the typical "pasticciotto leccese" with coffee, milk, and tea for those who love an Italian breakfast. We also offer a buffet of butter and jams, fruit juice, Nutella, and yogurt. We don't neglect the savory options, as every morning we offer a buffet of bread for toasting, ham, cheese, and hard-boiled eggs. During the good weather, breakfast is served on our terrace, decorated with various plants and flowers. If the weather doesn't allow it or for those who are more sensitive to the cold, we also have a finely furnished and decorated indoor room. The rooms are equipped with a minibar, where you will find a complimentary bottle of natural mineral water upon arrival. You are free to use the minibar for your own beverages.

Among the best Bed and Breakfasts in Puglia and beyond, the true gem of Salento is Mrs. Rosanna. She welcomed us to her Bed and Breakfast with extreme kindness and hospitality, making us feel at home. She pampered us throughout our stay, preparing a rich and abundant breakfast for us every morning, both sweet and savory. Every day she delighted us with cakes, tarts, pasticciotti, focaccias, rustic leccesi, etc. personally prepared by her. Our room (Lu Maru) was spacious, bright, and with a beautiful balcony overlooking the sea. The bathroom was spacious and equipped with all comforts. But what struck us most of all was the extreme cleanliness. We highly recommend anyone visiting Castro to stay at the Bed and Breakfast L'Orizzonte.

The best bed and breakfast experienced during our trip in Salento. Splendid location with a spectacular sea view room, impeccable cleanliness, parking space in front of the door. Sumptuous breakfast on a panoramic terrace. Mrs. Rosanna is a truly exquisite person. She makes with her hands delicious sweets (I ate an incredible amount of 'pasticciotti'!) and is very attentive to guests' preferences (my wife mentioned she really liked the Apulian focaccia and the next morning she prepared it for breakfast). She gave us a lot of useful information about local places and things to do in the area. Chatting with her was very pleasant. We will recommend this property to everyone.

Stayed in the month of July in perfect company, as soon as we arrived at our destination we immediately appreciated the beauty of the structure and its impeccable freshness and cleanliness, but what caught our attention was the pleasant acquaintance with the owner of the B&B, Mrs. Rossana! A special person who devotes herself 100% to her customers to ensure that they have one of the most beautiful weeks of vacation. Never a flaw in the breakfast (excellent! but that's an understatement) and then pampered by the wonderful sea view from the terrace and by the delicacies prepared day by day by Rossana. I believe we will gladly return soon.

Kindness, courtesy, location, cleanliness, structure, I would say at the highest levels, really a beautiful Bed and Breakfast, like few around, excellent and abundant breakfast, Mrs. Rosanna, the owner of the structure made us feel at home. From our room a breathtaking panorama, an infinite view of the Adriatic Sea and on the horizon the mountains of Albania could be glimpsed. We had a great time, Mrs. Rosanna has always been very kind and helpful, giving us advice on the beaches and places to visit. Her breakfasts with delicious cakes made by her will be greatly missed when we return home. The property is welcoming and spotless, never stayed in such a clean and peaceful place. The city of Castro is very beautiful and is in a great location from which you can easily reach the various cities of Salento. We arrived in four at this structure on Monday afternoon. Warmly welcomed by the owner Rosanna, we immediately noticed that the location was fantastic with breathtaking sea view rooms. The scent, daily cleaning, and the order of the rooms organized down to the smallest detail made this B&B even more welcoming. Not to mention Rosanna's kindness, who with her "wake up well, sleep well" sweetened the start of the day, continuing to pamper us with her exquisite sweets, personally prepared, and the variety of sweets, cookies, and colors that made it a pleasure to sit at the table. A truly unforgettable stay at a not expensive price. Definitely to come back and recommend. Book well in advance to avoid not finding a place.

We stayed in Castro for 5 days and we had a great time at the B&B L'Orizzonte, perfect in every way. Its main advantage over the other structures is that it is managed by Rosanna, a very sweet and efficient lady. We have planned to come back next year, God willing.

Beautiful structure a few steps from the historic center. Very spacious rooms, functional and comfortable common areas, top-notch decor, cleanliness, and hygiene. You cannot have more than what you can desire while on vacation in this bed and breakfast. Mrs. Rosanna is nothing short of fantastic, her structure is beautiful, there is a fantastic view of the sea, and her breakfast is rich and genuine. The cakes and other items are made by her, and then Castro is a gem.

I stayed at the B&B L'Orizzonte during a time of lower tourist influx, thus having the opportunity to better appreciate the excellent characteristics of the structure, as well as the friendliness, availability, courtesy, and charm of Mrs. Rosanna. We stayed in a beautiful room "LU MARE", with a sea view, very elegant, clean, and with every comfort. For breakfast, there was a lovely and elegant sitting room available, or even better, a terrace overlooking the town, which made us appreciate even more Mrs. Rosanna's exquisite orange plumcake. A structure located in a characteristic village overlooking the sea, a strategic point for visiting the Adriatic coast of Salento. Highly recommended.

A few steps from the historic center, shops and train stops, in absolute tranquility, it is ideal for those who want to enjoy the wonders of Castro during the day and rest at night, waking up to admire a beautiful panorama while enjoying the scents of the sea. We stayed in this beautiful B&B for 9 days, we felt so good that we did not want to leave anymore. The beautiful room "lu sule" has a really nice and relaxing view. Mrs. Rosanna makes you feel at ease and pampers you with wonderful breakfasts and "surprises" in the room when you return from a day at the beach in the evening. The structure is brand new, very clean, in a wonderful location, and the manager is very kind and helpful. We truly had a great time. It is one of the few times I have found full correspondence to what seemed from the descriptions and photos on the website. We stayed at B&B L'Orizzonte for the April 25th holiday. Mrs. Rosanna is a woman with a heart of gold; available and friendly, she made us feel at home. The room, very clean and tastefully furnished, had a wonderful view of the sea. The breakfast is abundant, capable of satisfying even the most demanding palates. The rooms are huge, with balconies, some with a sea view, with all the comforts (including refrigerator and air conditioning) and the cleanliness is impeccable. The breakfast is excellent with typical Salento sweets and fresh fruit. Mrs. Rosanna is very kind and available, she makes you feel really at home. Highly recommended! We will return.

My husband and I stayed for fifteen days in this beautiful property, managed by Rosanna, a delightful person who is capable of making guests feel at home. The room, bright, large and with a sea view balcony, is spotless and welcoming. Linen change like in a four-star hotel. The property, recently renovated, is in the center of the splendid Castro. To reach the sea, you can use the shuttle service. Salento is magnificent both from a naturalistic perspective (crystal-clear sea) and historical and architectural.
