Welcoming and very central. Next to the Teatro Giordano in the historic center of Foggia. New and clean. For spending a few days or even a single night it is a good choice, with a satisfactory quality-price ratio. There is no reception; everything is managed online and with electronic codes. (Remember to make the bank transfer otherwise the access codes will be deactivated). One hundred metres behind the theater there is a large paid parking lot, from 8:30 to 20:00 at €1.20 per hour or 6 hours for the whole day. Free on public holidays. Worth visiting, exiting from Vico Teatro, 200 m away is the ancient Church of San Giovanni Battista at the Piano della Croce, much loved by the people of Foggia. The square and its forecourt - although not in an optimal state of maintenance and not at all characterized by the urban design and project they deserve - conceal beneath them the eighteenth-century grain storage cisterns of the Tavoliere. Disappointing and sloppy is the way they are revealed with this flat skylight looking deep down, invaded by weeds and brambles, which gives more the impression of dirt and neglect. A double-faced Renaissance stone cross on a granite column is placed in the square, so without any architectural connection, on the opposite side of the magnificent seventeenth-century portal in soft tufaceous stone, splendidly decorated and worked in the Fanzaghi school. The church door features bronze bas-reliefs made in 1999, with scenes skillfully sculpted of the life of Saint John the Baptist, of Padre Pio and of John Paul II who came to Foggia during his pastoral travels. Finally, the disabled access to the church made of iron tubes and rusticated metal sheets is truly an insult to the monumental value of the church facade.

Excellent property, immaculate in every detail. This is the third time I have stayed here, in different rooms, and I confirm the excellence of the property, located in the very historic center in an excellent location. The hosts are very kind, very helpful and attentive.
