We stayed for just one night, but we are very much looking forward to coming again. We can highly recommend this B&B. The apartment is very nice and the hosts are very attentive and helpful to their guests.

I had an excellent time! The host was very gracious and patient with me, and accommodated my needs. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and quiet place to stay near the city center. I didn't make it to breakfast, but my colleague who was staying at the same location told me it was quite nice.

Lucia is the greatest. He helped me book my bus ticket out, and his SO drove me to the correct bus stop. He will go the extra mile to be sure you have a satisfactory stay. Highly recommend.

I had a beautiful small single room with a private bathroom, but external, one floor below. Everything is beautifully designed. The hosts are super nice, everything worked perfectly. The breakfast is, as is customary in Italy, sweet, but with a wide selection of homemade cakes. The accommodation is centrally located near the Piazza del Duomo.

Incredibly warm hosts, support in many ways. Breathtaking panoramic view from the beautiful terrace. The entire accommodation is charmingly furnished with great attention to detail. The location in the historic old town is perfect for short distances to all the sights and yet quiet.

In genere è uno dei punti più apprezzati del nostro B&B: ogni mattina preparo con cura un’ampia scelta di dolce e salato fatto in casa. Ovviamente offriamo anche qualche alternativa confezionata per chi ha gusti più semplici o esigenze particolari, ma ci spiace se questo è stato scambiato per l’unica opzione disponibile. Siamo sempre felici di ricevere suggerimenti per migliorare, ma ci teniamo anche a far conoscere tutto ciò che offriamo, per evitare che una colazione così ricca passi inosservata. 😊 Buona giornata

Lucia is a sweetheart, kind, caring and attentive. Rich breakfast with delicious pastries, cooked by her. Enchanting terrace, full of greenery and with a view over part of the town and the surrounding mountains, where you can have breakfast or relax after a day of hikes. Property cared for down to the smallest details, elegant and in the city center. We will return.

We stayed for only one night but we truly appreciated the historic dwelling, especially the hospitality of this couple who assisted us from the moment of our arrival (permission for parking and luggage), during the short stay (precise directions to best visit the beautiful city and for dinner) until departure. A wonderful experience that we hope to repeat soon.

I booked the Lilium suite, a spacious and very clean room with an en-suite bathroom, which was also perfect. Highly recommended for singles, couples, and even families. The owners, Lucia and Igor, are exquisite and very kind people. The breakfast is also excellent; you should try the homemade sweets by Lucia. Among the common areas, there is also a small terrace where you can admire a beautiful view of L'Aquila. I will definitely return.

Room with bathroom very comfortable and welcoming. The location of the property is practically in the center but in a very quiet area. The managers were always very helpful and ready. I felt very good and if I return to visit the city this will be my first choice.

The most beautiful, welcoming, comfortable, and tasteful house. Superb and genuine breakfast with desserts made with love by Lucia. Super central position but very quiet. A fabulous terrace with a view of the city. You feel loved and pampered. Thank you from the heart. We will definitely return!

Beautiful B&B in the heart of the historic center in a building from the late 1400s. Very spacious, spotlessly clean room and bathroom, tastefully furnished. Large, beautiful, clean common areas. Super breakfast with cakes prepared by the very kind owner. We had a great time and it will be our reference point when we return to L'Aquila.

I stayed at the Amaranto99 b&b of Costa Masciarelli and I had a great time: spacious and very clean and fresh, also elegant room and bathroom. The large living room with sofas, TV and tea and coffee available helped make the stay very comfortable. However, the highlight and always awaited moment were Lucia's breakfasts: she makes superb, original cakes, with delicious ingredients.

Igor and Lucia are two exquisite hosts, their Bed and Breakfast in the center of L'Aquila has been beautifully renovated after the earthquake, with many modern electronic aids, but in a Renaissance building expertly furnished with the feminine touch (I am sure) of Lucia. We had breakfast on the terrace the first week of June 2024, surrounded by many flower pots and a spectacular view of the plateau with a privileged view of the city, the Gran Sasso, and Monte Velino. Truly a place to recommend.

La posizione non è delle migliori, soprattutto per il posto auto, però trovandosi al centro della città, una volta parcheggiata la macchina, potete lasciarla per tutta la durata del soggiorno. La struttura è molto carina, i proprietari sono cordiali e sempre disponibili, colazione abbondante e rapporto qualità prezzo, ci stà, visto che la struttura e molto ben tenuta e nuova. Purtroppo ci sono le scale e quindi priva di ascensore, non proprio adatto a persone di una certa età o con problemi fisici, quindi non proprio consigliato a questo tipo di persone. La camera è molto bella e pulita, peccato che il bagno, ognuno avendo comunque il suo, sia fuori dalla porta della camera e quindi si deve sempre uscire vestiti. Bagno molto pulito, curato e provvisto di tutto, anche un fono potente, cosa non data per scontato. Colazione buona e provvista di tutto. Il prezzo per una notte e due persone è a fuoco, di sicuro vi saranno degli sconti per un soggiorno più lungo, ma per quello che la struttura offre, siamo sulla linea del troppo e giusto. Complimenti, qualcosina da rivedere ci sarà sicuramente ma per il resto, tutto molto bello.

Buonasera Carlo, mi scusi tanto, ho visto solo ora la sua recensione. La ringrazio molto per i dettagli che ha notato. Ci tengo però, a chiarire alcuni passaggi. Per quanto riguarda la posizione, siamo a cento metri da piazza Duomo eh, nonostante i lavori in corso, abbiamo parcheggi sotto casa, non privati. Essendo zona ztl, le abbiamo dato i permessi. Quindi, mi sembra molto, in una città in ricostruzione, in pieno centro. Se non avesse trovato parcheggio sotto casa, ci sono innumerevoli piazzette vicine, oppure il terminal degli autobus, con parcheggio gratis, vicinissimo a noi. Riguardo le scale, è vero, ci sono....come in ogni palazzo storico del centro. Siamo un b&b classico, quindi ci sono anche camere con bagni esterni alla camera(comunque privati e molto in disparte dal corridoio e relativa zona di passaggio). La prossima volta mi indichi il suo disagio e le darò il bagno interno. Grazie Buonaserata Spero di rivederla nella nostra meravigliosa città!

Beautiful room equipped with home automation. Lucia is a very kind and helpful lady who prepares sublime sweets for breakfast. The house is very beautiful with a panoramic terrace. Just be careful because there is no elevator, although Lucia helps with luggage transport to the room.

In the heart of L'Aquila, this oasis of peace was a wonderful discovery (completely random). The structure is completely renovated, cared for in every detail, warm and welcoming. The owners are people of disarming kindness and courtesy, they make you feel at ease and more than at home. Truly a gem.

I would have wanted to give an even higher rating than 10 to Lucia and her property, which stands out for elegance, attention to detail, and cleanliness. We had a wonderful stay at Amaranto99! While we were there, we felt like we were in the company of good friends. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the decor was lovely. We really enjoyed the terrace and its breathtaking views. Lucia served a delicious breakfast with local Abruzzo sweets. Igor suggested an excursion in the Gran Sasso area near the cable car, and there we had a very pleasant hike among mountains and flowers. This was our first visit to Italy, and I was looking for a specific dish prepared by my great-grandmother that I missed. It wasn't an Aquilan dish (closer to the Abruzzo coast), but Lucia managed to find a chef who could prepare it for me and my family. It was our favorite meal of the trip and a wonderful memory of the taste of my childhood! I cannot thank Lucia enough for making this meal possible. It was very special to me, being able to share it with my family. We really fell in love with Abruzzo and L'Aquila during our visit and are excited to return next year for another stay at Amaranto99!

The discreet technology applied to the rooms speaks of Igor's past, a man who gave up everything he had for sure to dedicate himself to his city and mountains. The cakes and scents of the kitchen instead bring you back to Lucia, his partner, who, despite a certainly not easy life, has drawn a boundless smile that is the first "welcome" for all those who enter the facility. "Amaranto99" is in the heart of the city of L'Aquila but, honestly, everything outside (and there is a lot, a great deal) is found, in summary, in the words and gestures of Igor and Lucia, wounded in the past like their city but splendidly reinvented with courage and infinite love, just as L'Aquila has returned to life and excitement. In a beautiful ancient building in L'Aquila you will find Lucia and Igor's house, a pure, welcoming and warm bed and breakfast where everything is in its place. The spacious room with a view of the rooftops and the private bathroom are equipped with the right comfort. But it is the breakfast room with its terrace overlooking Gran Sasso that makes this place special, the rich buffet and the engaging friendliness of Lucia and Igor make you feel at a friend's home. The property is in a very central location in the city, a two-minute walk from Piazza Duomo. The apartment, where the managers also live, is very well-kept. Our room (Lilium) has an "internal" bathroom, furnished with beautiful tiles in my opinion. The windows and shutters are managed by a remote control. With the windows open at night, it's comfortable even in very hot periods (we happened to be there on a rainy day but it was still very hot), even though there is no air conditioning. Just outside the room, there is a small sitting area with tea and cookies available to guests. Breakfast is practically all sweet, but I am convinced that if we had asked for a savory breakfast, our wish would have been granted for sure. If we were to return to the area, we would return with closed eyes!

Even though we only stayed one night, we had a very good time. The apartment is very large and well-maintained, with a large terrace overlooking the city. It is located two minutes walk from the cathedral, so even with little time available, you can visit all the main things without taking transportation or driving. B&B renovated very well, spacious and fresh attic room. Lucia and Ygor very kind and available to meet our needs. Our dog was even better than us! Thank you, we really enjoyed ourselves! If there is an opportunity, we will definitely come back.

Very beautiful palace, recently renovated, close to the lovely Piazza S. Giusta. Central and easily reachable. Only downside: too many cobwebs and mosquitoes, so many that it was really difficult to sleep. What a pity.

Andrea ci dispiace dell'inconveniente; solo a titolo di precisazione, non utilizziamo prodotti pesticidi in quanto L'Aquila é una terra con il clima secco. Le piccole zanzarine che circolano sono praticamente innocue. Relativamente alle ragnatele esse sono tipiche del legno e ne lasciamo alcune (si formano in circa 8 ore) per intercettare i piccoli Mosquitos che a volte entrano. Ci piace garantire la naturalità degli ambienti e la pulizia degli stessi è certificata e generalmente apprezzata! A presto, Lucia e Igor.

We were enchanted by Igor, Lucia and Amaranto99. The ancient building is perfectly restored, furnished with taste in every detail. Terrace with a spectacular view accessed through the kitchen room, cozy where we enjoy the breakfast buffet, including the delicious apple pie made by Lucia. Let Igor advise you on mountain trails in the surroundings, and where to dine; you will not easily tire of his conversations. We regret having stayed only one night here!

In the heart of L'Aquila, managed by two very kind people. Large and clean room. Comfortable bed. Excellent and abundant breakfast and a beautiful terrace with a view of the city. Highly recommended.

Lucia and Igor are excellent people. Lucia's sweetness lights up the mountains of Gran Sasso accompanied by the expertise of Igor, who as a professional recommends places to go for pedestrian or skiing walks. The rooms are well heated, sunny, and welcoming. You can enjoy silence and a great view of the mountains, being in the heart of the historic center. You can even choose not to use the car. Abundant breakfast enriched by Lucia's delicious sweet specialties. The 1500s palace is beautiful and well maintained.

The managers are kind, friendly, and very helpful. It was a pleasure staying with them and I recommend the Amaranto99 property both for the beauty of the Bed and Breakfast (in a very characteristic historic building), for the carefully prepared breakfast (the ricotta and saffron tarts prepared by the owner are delicious) and for the central location. Superb structure, and exceptional managers! Amaranto99 is a unique combination of taste, style, hospitality, and pleasantness. Lucia and Igor are excellent in everything. 10 out of 10! Word of a customer who has extensively used the facility over time and space (tried different rooms). Never a flaw.

In a 1600s building in the historic center of L'Aquila, just a few steps from the cathedral and the main street, there is the B&B Amaranto99. As soon as I entered, I immediately felt at home. The B&B is furnished with great taste and attention to every detail; the rooms are spacious, very comfortable, and clean, named after particular flowers that the owner is very passionate about. The living area, where the breakfast is abundant and healthy, has a beautiful terrace from which the view of the snow-covered Gran Sasso is spectacular. Lucia is very welcoming, friendly, and full of life and passion for her work. It was a series of pleasant surprises. I will definitely return.

I had a great time, the owners were very kind especially Mrs. Lucia. The B&B is close to the city center and you can easily visit the city and see the main places without needing transportation. Excellent cleanliness.
