La Rugolana

Lovely old farmhouse on the outskirts of Verona in the little town of Montorio. The accommodation was very good. The owner was a delight and very helpful. The breakfast is taken in a bistro in Montorio and is very good. In the evening of our departure we received fresh cherries from his first harvest of the year. Recommend for a relaxing break.

My family and I had the pleasure in staying in this beautiful and quintessential Italian property overlooking farmland from the large patio/terrace area. Very quiet and relaxing location, large parking area. The breakfast without question was the best we had in Italy. Daniela is a very passionate Inn Keeper with drive to make your stay as perfect as you could want. We would without question recommend a stay in this wonderful part of Italy. Thank you Daniela so much.

The B&B is very nice, located in the countryside. It is simple but well taken care of. In the evening it's cool. It is a great location to visit Verona.

Country house in the green, excellent for moments of absolute relaxation. Good location compared to Verona, just a few kilometers away. Rural landscape and farmhouse very well maintained and furnished in a deliberately retro theme, perhaps a bit 'spartan' in some details. It's a pity that breakfast, due to covid restrictions, was planned at the village bar, which takes away that 'breakfast in the countryside' feeling. The owners are impeccable, shining for their hospitality.

I stayed at this splendid residence with my husband. If you are looking for a place immersed in the Veronese countryside and you want tranquility, it's truly the ideal place! Here you will only hear the sounds of nature. The house and the place are truly charming, it feels like being on vacation at grandma's house. We stayed in the "Magnolia" room, a dive into the past, very well furnished with early 1900s furniture and many other little gems. There is also a huge terrace available, where you can enjoy a splendid view in total relaxation! The managers, who are also the owners, were very welcoming and helpful. We had a great time, highly recommended place!

Very nice place, clean, tidy, spacious and comfortable room, as well as the toilet. Manager available and friendly, immersed in greenery, total tranquillity. I cannot rate the breakfast as I did not use it. After the covid rules, they have not yet equipped themselves for breakfast in the structure, and I did not take advantage of the agreement with a bar in the village, due to personal habits. They are preparing for the POS, essential in 2022 and soon to be mandatory by law.

A very beautiful and original location, immersed in the greenery about 20 minutes by car from Verona. The structure is meticulously cared for and very suggestive and characteristic as it is a house from 1800. The managers are very kind and helpful. I highly recommend it!

Abbiamo alloggiato una notte dalla Signora Daniela, persona molto cordiale e solare. Camera grande e pulita. La colazione abbondante, c'era di tutto dal dolce al salato. Posizione ottima per chi vuole riposare lontano dallo stress della città. Se ritorniamo a trovare nostro figlio ritorneremo molto volentieri. Un saluto e un grazie di tutto da Elisabetta e Massimo.

Abbiamo trascorso un fantastico soggiorno a La Rugolana. Meravigliosa villa di campagna ristrutturata, mantenendo il carattere originario e con amore per i dettagli. Daniela e la sua famiglia sono delle persone incredibilmente ospitali e ci hanno fatto sentire a casa propria offrendoci colazioni abbondanti e ogni mattina diversa. Inoltre sono stati molto disponibili e hanno contribuito a rendere il nostro soggiorno indimenticabile, dandoci consigli su posti da visitare e specialità da gustare. Raccomandiamo volentieri La Rugolana.

Beh, dare tutti 10 come voti di struttura, gestione, colazione, ecc ecc mi sembra il minimo. Anzi 10 per la gestione è troppo poco, avrei dato almeno 100 e altrettanti per la colazione. Insomma abbiamo passato due giorni rintanati nel relax totale di questo posto, che ci ha attratto, con questo paesaggio fantastico e coi profumi della campagna che quasi non riuscivamo ad andar via. Il posto merita davvero tanto, una terrazza enorme, dove abbiamo trovato apparecchiato un tavolo per la colazione a dir poco stupendo, tutto curato, dalle tazze alle brocche tutto sistemato sapientemente, cioè, quando mai capita una cosa del genere? Sembrava di esser tornati indietro nel tempo quando la mamma ci preparava la colazione, niente buffet con brioches appena scongelate, tutto preparato con cura e attenzione, latte, caffè succhi di frutta marmellate fatte in casa, biscotti ecc ecc, insomma una colazione di relax, con vista sulla vallata, e tutta la terrazza per noi. Eccellente davvero. La casa poi è stupenda, immersa ancora nella sua storia, arredata perfettamente dalla padrona di casa con eccellente gusto, pavimenti dell'epoca in cotto e a travi di legno al primo piano, lettoni enormi grandi armati, e tantissimi ricordi appesi alle pareti e sui comò, tutto questo nell'insieme piacevolissimo sembrava di esser a casa. Lo ripeto ancora una volta, nella speranza che magari anche i proprietari leggano, perché voglio ringraziarli davvero tanto per quello che ci hanno offerto, e per la libertà che ci hanno lasciato. Grazie di tutto e spero di tornare presto magari rimanere qualche giorno in più.
