Our B& B is placed a few steps from the lake, in an area of great history, architecture and culture, in a quiet, panoramic setting nearby Campagna. "Melizio" is a residence with unique, original style, a period building where echoes of the past blend with modern comfort.

A great stay always starts with a warm welcome and Maurizio and his wife make you feel like you are old friend returning to their home. It is the perfect place, slightly off the path to enjoy Lake Orta without being overwhelmed by tourists. The grounds are peaceful, the four-legged residents are a joy to be around. Amazing breakfast, great locally sourced products and homemade baked items and fruits from the farm. Book early, limited number of rooms, and this is a place once people discover they always come back. We only stayed two nights, wish we had time for more. If you are flying into MXP and need a few nights to adjust to Italy after a long flight, it is a short drive and great start to your tour of the lake region and beyond.

We had an amazing - but too short- 2 nights stay at Melizio. The property itself is very charming: a lush garden populated by happy animals (goats, fluffy chicks, sympathetic dogs, many cats as well as a recently arrived donkey) and through which a small river flows. Everything in the house and the rooms is decorated in the spirit of the old house's architecture and feels homey and cosy. The hosts are most welcoming and do their utter best to help you enjoy your stay. Maurizio helped us arranging a fishing day, gave us recommendations for places to eat and things to do in this beautiful area. And the breakfast is simply amazing! Fresh fruit, veggies and nuts from the garden, local cheese and cured meat, a range of biscuits, and each day a specialy: panna cotta, small sandwich. We were in heaven! The property is located not far from the lake, but best to have your own car to explore the surroundings. Our only regret was to not be able to stay longer. One thing is sure, we will come back!

Absolutely wonderful welcome from Maurizio and his wife. Beautiful location and property. Amazing breakfast with a lot of choices including homemade surprises! Loved the stream and the animals. The lake d'Orta is perfect if you are looking for a beautiful, peaceful setting and scenery. We would have stayed longer if we could. Would recommend to anyone and hopefully visit again!

A big thank you to Maurizio and Mella for their welcome, kindness, availability with discretion not to mention their good addresses! The setting is relaxing with a perfectly maintained garden, crossed by a small stream, the property, the rooms are impeccable, decorated with care. Very attentive and kind hosts. \nOur room was very pleasant though a bit dark, but unfortunately the weather wasn't great during our stay. Definitely brighter with the sun :)!\nExcellent homemade breakfast that varies from day to day, allowing to discover local flavors and taste the excellent homemade cakes of our host (and they took into account my wife's pregnancy - it was very thoughtful). \nCharming and peaceful place surrounded by animals. \nWe warmly thank our hosts for this good disconnecting stay! Looking forward to coming back when the baby is born!

A superb welcome, a well-kept house, tastefully decorated amidst greenery and farm animals. It smells good, the room is spacious, the bed very comfortable, a balcony, beautiful bed linen. An excellent address! The building is full of charm and tastefully decorated. The owners are very friendly and really attentive, providing excellent advice on the area. The breakfast is excellent, plentiful, and showcases local products. The location is a bit secluded, which allows for a quiet stay in the middle of nature. And it's a 5-minute drive from Lake Orta, so an ideal compromise. I will return with great pleasure!

B&B parfait, belle chambre, jardin super avec beaucoup d'animaux, chien chats poules, très reposant. Les petits déjeuners sont exceptionnels, tous les jours différents à base de produits régionaux, préparés avec beaucoup de soins. An absolutely wonderful B&B for a relaxing holiday, idyllically located along a stream; lovingly renovated and beautifully decorated old mill with attention to detail; covered terrace overlooking a meadow with donkeys, pony, geese, roosters and hens, two dogs and eight cats, sun loungers on the lawn, small wooded area near the house; rooms with a historic touch and small balcony, very clean, everything works perfectly, nice bathroom with modern shower; lovingly prepared and very rich breakfast with regional products, homemade cakes; very friendly, attentive and helpful hosts, happy to provide recommendations for nearby excursions and restaurants; in short: highly recommended!

Das Bed and Breakfast ist ja schon im Internet sehr schön präsentiert, aber die Realität hat die Bilder übertroffen. Ein wunderschönes Haus, traumhaft schön, phanatsievoll, aber trotzdem erhaltend renoviert! Die Besitzer haben uns wunderbar aufgenommen. Das üppige Frühstück ist das Tüpfelchen auf dem i. Ein Traum!

A lovely place in every way, from the enchanting scent of mountain home inside to the spectacular view of the mountain slope just a step from the front door. Personally, I loved the high ceiling of the room, the wooden details, and the sweetly rustic decor. In hindsight, I regret having spent only one night there, but I'm glad to have discovered this city escape retreat and I plan to return in the spring.

The Melizio is a small gem just a few minutes from the beautiful Lake Orta. I still can't decide what I loved most about our stay: the stream running in the middle of the garden, the geese wandering undisturbed or its creators and owners. You will be welcomed by a young couple with a kindness and availability that are unique and rare to find. In the morning, you will be pampered with a rich breakfast, which never lacks the homemade dessert and a cutting board with typical local products (cold cuts and cheeses, if you love a savory breakfast). You can enjoy all this while listening to the roosters singing and observing some sly cats strolling around. In the evening, you can relax in a room whose strength lies in the attention to detail, the love that has been put into placing each object is the secret recipe that will prevent you from wanting to leave such a beautiful place. Simply a magical place! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality.

Io e il mio fidanzato abbiamo soggiornato in questa bellissima struttura immersa nel verde. L'unico punto negativo è stato il dover andare via. Il resto ha superato le nostre aspettative a partire dall'accoglienza calorosa dei proprietari e dei loro splendidi amici pelosi in particolare Giulio. Una colazione con i fiocchi, abbondante e di specialità tipiche e torte buonissime fatte in casa. Camera accogliente e letto comodissimo. Bagno ampio con vasca grande. Pace, silenzio del luogo e il suono del ruscello che concilia il sonno. Speriamo di poter tornare.

Bellissimo casolare immerso nella natura gestito da due persone molto gentili e disponibili, ottimo per due giorni in pieno relax. Ospiti fissi della struttura sono cani e gatti che vi chiederanno qualche carezza di tanto in tanto, il risveglio invece sarà accompagnato dal canto del gallo e da molti altri animali. La colazione in compagnia dei proprietari è abbondante e familiare con molte chicche del posto. Super consigliato, grazie di tutto.

Ho avuto la fortuna di passare un week-end meraviglioso in questo B&B immerso nella natura e abitato da splendidi animali. I proprietari, Maurizio e Mela, sono due persone splendide. Non solo ci hanno fornito utilissimi consigli per visitare il territorio, ma mi hanno addirittura preparato una torta per il mio compleanno, servita a sorpresa a colazione, già di per sè fantastica e ricca di prodotti tipici e fatti in casa. La camera era qualcosa di magico: arredata nei minimi dettagli con gran gusto e semplicità, utilizzando materiali naturali o di recupero. Fa da cornice una splendida parete in pietra e una splendida vasca da bagno attorniata da candele e sali. Che dire, ci siamo sentiti a casa. Grazie di cuore Maurizio e Mela, torneremo a trovarvi. Purtroppo ci siamo potuti fermare soltanto un giorno, ma torneremo di sicuro! Mela e Maurizio e i loro meravigliosi animali ci hanno accolto con calore e cordialità in un posto da sogno! Ci hanno coccolato e viziato con una stanza piena di semplici, ma efficaci piccoli dettagli fatti per farti sentire a casa. La mattina ci aspettava una colazione meravigliosa con frutta fresca, formaggi e affettati buonissimi e dolci fatti in casa dal sapore di una volta. Non ho mai visto mia figlia mangiare tanto, per poi correre fuori a esplorare i dintorni e conoscere tutti i simpatici animali di casa. La posizione è ottima, sulla strada, ma non troppo, a due passi dalle mete importanti intorno al lago d'Orta. A presto!

Io e mio marito abbiamo trascorso solo un weekend ma ci è bastato per sentirci subito rilassati e in pace a contatto con la natura e gli animali dolcissimi che vivono con i proprietari. Come dimenticare il panorama spettacolare che ci ha accolto e la colazione buonissima e abbondante oltre alla gentilezza dei padroni di casa. Un'esperienza indimenticabile!

Il più bel B&B in cui io sia mai stata. Innanzi tutto splendida l'accoglienza che ci hanno riservato. Splendida la collocazione, per i suoni e i profumi della natura, dal bosco al ruscello. Abbiamo soggiornato al B&B Melizio durante il B&B Day 2014 ed è stato un weekend veramente splendido. Maurizio e Mela ci hanno accolto con calore e ci hanno fatto sentire veramente a casa. La nostra camera affacciava sul fiumiciattolo che costeggia la casa, per non parlare poi della colazione superba: torte appena sfornate e frittatine fatte con le uova di oca fresche. Voto 10 meritatissimo (se si potesse darei anche di più). Consigliato vivamente a tutti.

Il posto è davvero incantevole, arredato con cura e dovizia di paticolari. Quello che mi ha colpito di più sono i profumi che ti scaldano e ti accompagnano per tutto il soggiorno. Sempre pulitissimo nonostante la presenza di animali domestici. Mela e Maurizio sono sempre stati cordiali e premurosi. Insomma una piccola favoletta e qualche volta allora capita ancora di trovare persone così. Veramente complimenti!

È veramente un luogo incantevole. La pace e la tranquillità sono elementi cardini della struttura. L'accoglienza e l'ospitalità di Mela e Maurizio sono eccezzionali così come la professionalità nel consigliare i luoghi da visitare. L'arredamento e la pulizia sono da Hotel a 5 stelle mentre la colazione, caratterizzata da prodotti naturali anche autoprodotti è da urlo.

An old water mill, with wonderful colorful rooms, view of the beautiful garden, together with the animals and in nature you relax, everything goes a bit slower as the Italians say piano piano. Breakfast with organic local products, delicious. The hardest part was having to say goodbye to this little paradise, and especially to Ragu. We will definitely come back.
